The elitists win, god what's happening to MAL
All I can say is the first 10 episodes of Monster were pretty boring, maybe it gets better later what do I know, but hardly "thrilling"

10 episodes out of a 74 episode series can hardly make an informed opinion

Death note is pretty good. Drags towards the end but is with a watch. I have heard good things about the other two but I haven't seen them so I can't give you my opinion.

pls. serial killers in real life that all the time. monster is more believable than the other two. Whether or not it is a better anime than the other two is subjective but it has more realism than death note or code geass.

sociopathy and serial killers do not usually adhere to logic and reason that is within the realms of common sense.
Serial killers and murderers rarely have any sort of "human" goal and in that way Monster is far more believable than the other two. As title suggests it is an exploration of a mind of monster and the motivation of the killer is built up in very realistic, unsettling and creepy way.

ITs as close as we will ever get to Silence of The Lambs level of psychological work in anime medium.

Season 1 was a roller coaster ride. More thrill than almost any other anime out there, despite the unbelievable plot twists. R2 was what ruined it imo and turned everything into constant asspulls and deaths just for the sake of shock value.
Thrilling doesn't equal good

The start of Monster was incredible but its slow-pacing isn't really my thing. It can be predictable because of how slowly plot-twists happen but its 'highs' are as good as the others'.

Death Note for me but I haven't finished Monster yet

There is only one answer which is Monster. Even an the story may seem to diverge at some point, all the minor events gradually build up into one exhilarating outcome.
All credit goes to Sacred.

Depending on how you define "best".
For me it goes like this.
Realism: Monster>>>Death Note>Code Geass
Action:Code Geass>>Death Note>Monster
Mystery:Monster>>Code Geass>>Death Note
Thrill:Code Geass>Death Note>>> Monster
Detective game(chasing and be chased): Death Note>Code Geass>>Monster
Psychology: Monster>>>Death Note>Code Geass
Quality(I'm subjective ofc): Monster>Death Note> Code Geass
Enjoyment(----||----): Code Geass>Death Note>Monster

Overall: Monster>Code Geass=Death Note
IMO all 3 are very good.

If the first 10 episodes suck, why should the rest be better? In some anime 10 episodes is half the series.

If you have to stick for 10 boring episodes for it to 'get better', then the anime is doing something bad.

there is no way you can argue that the first 10 eps were bad

The thing that makes me like code geass and death note over monster is this.
In monster the pacing is slow at times, when the story switches perspective to other characters that are not the main, I found some of their stories to be enjoyable, while others were downright boring. I also prefer the two main character in code geass and death note over Tenma as well. Their moral conduct was grey, I find grey characters to be more interesting and it also make the characters more dynamic in my oponion. Tenma was a good guy from the beginning to the end. The author had opportunities to make Tenma more of a grey character, but i guess he didn't want that. The ending was also very anticlimatic. It was also pretty predictable, which kind of lesson the enjoyment somewhat.

Monster had a very good put together story, and i really like it, but somethings about it was just wasnt good for me. And this is why i couldnt score it any higher than a 8/10.

I've only watched the first episode of Monster and like the first four of Code Geass.

In Monster I liked when that Turkish person died or something.

I liked the shower scene with that red haired girl in Code Geass.

So I guess Death Note wins even though the second arc was shit and unneeded.

Nothing here is objective because it's all opinions, but some are more supported than others.

Of course you can argue that the first 10 episodes are bad. If they contain no character development, the soundtrack was shitty, the animation was dull and it didn't point to any direction then no surprise it wouldn't catch someone's interest.

I don't remember Monster's first episode (I do remember enjoying it then) but it doesn't mean you can argue why they're bad/good.

I would totally recommend Monster, I am watching it right now and I am amazed by the story/characters/basically everything in this series. If it will keep its level until the end it will br a 10/10 for me. I also watched the other two from the poll and I enjoyed them a lot, but I dislike Death Note's main character and Code Geass dissapointed me from time to time with some plot issues. So, for now I would pick the Monster, but if it gets worse over time I still recommend Code Geass over DN.
