I can just leave a manga off after the end of an arc and never come back to it.

I'm the type who likes to marathon them and I'm telling you it could take all night! But it depends on the manga and how fast your read in general, so if you're like me, 2 volumes can be read in under an hour. It varies.

It's depends, some manga took me only a day, some 1 week, some 1 month....etc.. and so on. And sometimes it's depends on my mood too

It really depends on how long the series is, whether I am really interested in it, and if it is text heavy.

What's an average sized manga? :o

Yeah, do you mean a tankoubon or equivalent? Well, going by that measure, it differs a lot between series for me. For a breezy read with light dialogue and easy to follow art like most shounen and shoujo manga, maybe 15-25 minutes, but those aren't my favorites, and I prefer more substantial manga. Gundam: The Origin took me about 1.5-2 hrs per tankoubon. My all time favorite manga, Nausicaa, I took maybe 4-5 hrs per volume, since I read it at a very leisurely pace, taking in the art in every panel. Puella Magi Kazumi Magica, with its rather hard to follow art and plot, took me even longer (I still recommend it!).

depends on number of chapters, number of pages per chapter (consistency), content (I can breeze through action/shounen, but other than that may take a while)

I usually finish a volume in less than 30 minutes, but if it has a lot of dialogue like death note then probably an hour

Took me a week to finish bakuman, just because I wanted read trough fully and really understand it. one of the most enjoyable manga's too. Simple life manga and still interesting is not something everyone can draw.

Each time they take the photograph
I lose a part I can't get back
I don't wanna talk about it right now
Just hold me while I cry my eyes out
Even hearts made out of steel can break down
Never admit it but it hurts
I'm not Joan of Arc, not yet
I'm only human

I finished 600+ chapters of One Piece in around a week. That would mean I read around 90 chapters of manga every day.

I now can read around 50 a day or so, if I have the time.

It also depends on how gripping the manga is. If I can skip pages without really reading them, it goes by in a blur.

Really depends on deep I m into it, how addicted it is for me.
But I usually take alot of time to read, because I love to read at my own pace and absorb the artwork.
I rarely marathoon mangas, but if they are up to 15-25 chapters, 20's per chapter, those I would marathoon easily, the rest I just get distracted and feel like mixing with something else.
I would say 6-7 minutes per chapter, but it factors like, how much text, is the art beautifull am I enjoy it alot or just want to read fast to get over with, it all the depends of those.

I've read plenty of manga which has 100+ chapter, normally i completed each in about 2 days without affect daily activities.
Mostly the reading speed depend on your own situation (such as your free time/day, how much time spend for working each day, and yeah no one can read manga while you have an exam tomorrow lel)
Manga's content also play an important role in this. I'm willing to read as much as i could if it's good, leads to quick completion.

Depends on how much text there is or how much I want to look at certain pictures, but 45-60 minutes per volume is a realistic guess.

Depends on the series of course.
If I had all of Ajin I'd finish it pretty fast, but atm there's just 6 or 7 volumes out.
I read 60 chapters of Attack on Titan in a week or so. Gonna buy all the volumes eventually, it's going to get its own shelfs once I buy a shelf section xD

I guess it really just depends on whether I want to spend minute after minute oogling at characters (because wow yeh smtimes very hot or cute ir sexy or im gonna so not imagine them naked) or just get to finishing the chapter(s).

Depends on the series, and my dedication. Usually, I can finish a manga in no less but 3 or 4 hours if there aren't any sorts of interruptions and I got all the snacks and drinks needed to power-read.

I have yet to marathon a manga over 400 or so chapters

Depends how much dialogue it has, usually a volume takes me about 30 mins to read. But some series have alot of dialogue and take me more time, like Sket Dance and Level E, volumes of these series took me about an hour to read, especially first volumes of Sket Dance. On the other hand action series are easy read and take less time, I've read about 20 vols of Hajime no Ippo within a day, most pages were action with some dialogue here and there.

Oh yes. I've read some longer manga in a week but Samurai Deeper Kyo, for instance... The manga is so cliched and senseless (to me at least) that I've been at it for 2-3 months now. I'm just too big of a masochist to drop anything.

It depends on a lot of things. ^^

Some examples:

* the lenght of the manga - it's not so hard to read mangas which are between 1-7 volumes for example.

* the language of the manga - if it's in Hungarian (my mother tongue), I can read it in no time (about 20-30 minutes/volume) :) But I read slowlier if it's in English (40-45 min/vol). If it's German, than I am super-slow, because I have to use dictionary to understand everything (3+ hours xD).

* the lenght of dialoges in the manga

* do I read online or from printed manga?

* my mood - if I'm in the mood, I can read faster, because I'm excited. If I don't want to read but I start to, then I am slow. ˇˇ" So it can be that I read one volume for an hour or read about 200 chapters in an afternoon (that was a fast Gantz-finishing, LOL).

But I think reading time depends on the readers, too. I am fast-reader because I read a lot... I usually stop to wonder how beautiful the graphics of the manga I am reading, but even with this kind of "thinking of amezement" I am still in the times I wrote . ^^

Ah, I actually get pretty addicted to a manga more than an anime. Since its easier to go through the content, I would think to myself, just 1 more volume. And then next thing I know I've finished the entire manga in night/day depending on how long it is.

Yeah, it's useless to give an average when you have manga that, on one hand, are only 1 volume long and, on the other hand, you have some that have way over 30.
I would say I take usually half an hour to forty minutes for a volume on average.
