So, do you replay games you already beat?

If you end up replaying a game what about the game makes you decide you want to replay.

For me... I replay games that have different outcomes depending on the choices you make because I always find myself wanting to beat the game completely, unless the game was completely horrible.

I mainly play games if they different outcomes as well. However, I also reply some games that don't just because I can improve myself within the game so I can have a better ending if that makes sense?

I usually like to replay RPGs like Pokémon, Dragon Quest, etc. and ones with multiple endings (Chrono Trigger, etc.).

If I liked the game a lot it I'll probably replay it, even if it doesn't have much replay value. I finished and replayed Devil May Cry 3 at least 20 times, Resident Evil 4 at least 40 times, and even now I still wouldn't get bored finishing them again.

The souls games have incredibly high replayability. I usually beat them 6 times.

What usually makes me want to replay a game is either the game play, or the story was very memorable and impactful.

If they have different outcomes, I'll typically re-play them.

Or if they have nostalgia value for me, like Spyro. Can't tell you how many times I've replayed FFX...

That is... Dorohedoro.

Definitely a nostalgic value. I still play Zelda Twilight Princess on the Wii and Mirror's Edge every now and then. Shame my n64 and ps1/2 aren't in working condition anymore.

I played the original Deus Ex probably 35 times. And I still discover something new with each playthrough. It is tradition for me to play my favorite game of all time at least once each year, haven't done this year's playthrough yet.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that does this weird thing, but if it's a certain time of year/weather outside, I'll want to play a certain game. Probably because it has a memory value to it.

Ex; if it's real cold but not snowing, I'll want to play FFX, if it's springtime and gray and rainy out - Tales of Destiny, hot to the point where I have to have the A/C on - Fatal Frame.

And weather happens every year, so I'll replay games based off that, too.

That is... Dorohedoro.

I only play games I've beaten again if I've really enjoyed it. It's usually a mixture of things that make me go back and play again such as the story, the gameplay.
I'm a huge Batman fan so I've played all the Arkham games multiple time and I keep going back because it's just pure fun play. especially considering the Arkham games have a shit load of bonus things to do like riddles.

I don't really replay games often, but if I have watched someone play a game on youtube I sometimes end up playing the game myself. Last game I did this with was the single player of gta 5.

I also like to go on nostalgia trips with games I played as a kid.

Yep I do that too. I could play all my childhood games through 1000+ times and not get bored.

I rarely replay games.

The only ones I have replayed so far are Pokemone Emerald, Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, Black and Final Fantasy 7 + 8

Pokemon is mostly for the nostalgic while FF is because I love the storyline and want to beat it with a different party each time.

I will only replay a game if I really enjoyed it. I replay games that have paths like Der Langrisser. Different characters to choose from Ys Origin. Game with lots of characters to choose from Labyrinth of Touhou 2. Try out different characters on New Game+. Random map generator HoMM3 Complete.

Also I play a lot of shmup games. Challenge myself to do better runs. Some RPG or SRPG games that I really like with no replay value, I'll still play it again if there isn't anything else to play.

For some reason, I read that as "roleplaying games you beat".

I have replayed games I've already beat. Ace Attorney, a few times. 999 too and latest was San Andreas.

I like to replay my favorite games several times. Like Resident Evil 4, Dead Space 2 and many others.
I also replay games that use the "100% completion = good ending" way. Like the Fatal Frame series.

arcade games I'll replay about a hundred times then move on
RPGs generally once and if I want to do a challenge or something I'll play it again, otherwise I don't play it unless I really feel like it.

Games that are absurdly long like Monster Hunter I'll never play again though

I used to replay games a lot more often when I was younger, probably because I had less games back then. Nowadays, I rarely replay through a game unless: A. It has different endings and I'm interested in seeing what those are. B. I want to try and gain all the trophies/achievements for the game or C. I replay it because I haven't done so in ages/years, and I'm feeling nostalgic.

When you generally have to focus on specific characters I like to replay games.

I loved replaying /legend of Dragoon and focused on getting certain characters combos and dragoon levels. Meryl and Rose are pretty OP.

I used to do it before, but not so much now. I have expanded my taste over the years, so I usually play new games now, instead of replaying old. But if there are games I really love, I'll replay them every now and then. The Metal Gear Solid, Zelda and Pokemon series, are among some of the games I have played through several times. I'm also halfway on my second Xenoblade Chronicles playthrough.

Sometimes.
The games I replayed most time are:
Dragon Age:Origins - 4x
Star Wars - Republic Commando - 6x
Warhammer 40k: DoW 2 - 4x
Prince of Persia - T2T - 3x

But those are games I am pretty fond of,yet are quite replayable, since I can remember games quite well,so I did not replay Planescape:Torment or Baldur's Gate saga,my most favourite games, even once.

Depends on the game.

If it's Pokemon, it'll most likely be to use a different starter Pokemon and/or to have a different team.

Other games are usually RPGs where you can have different choices/endings or use mods to make the game different.

Occasionally I'll replay stuff like Hitman so I can perform the hits differently.

I replay my favorite PS1/PS2 games every couple years.
Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3, CTR, Bash, TWOC
Spyro the Dragon 1, 2, 3
Jak & Daxter 1, 2, 3, X
Ratchet & Clank 1, 2, 3, Gladiator
(not a PS1/PS2 game) I also like to replay Pokemon Red trying to beat the game with a single Pokemon. I play with savestates to manipulate luck, but I don't use the 1/256 glitch.

I always try to revisit my favourite games at some point. A lot of them I've played over and over again. Right now, I've been replaying Doom II and Doom 2016, just 'cause they're fun. And before that, I played through the original Resident Evil PS1 trilogy again.

Very rarely, I only visit personal favorites. Uncharted games, Batman Arkham games, Pokemon games and Yu-gi-oh games. Especially playing Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon stuff has become like a tradition to me. I return either of these two franchises at least once every year.

Oh yeah pretty often.

I've cleared games like Streets of Rage 1 & 2 & Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine dozens of times, but those especially have the most relaxing gameplay, and also i like checking out different sprite hacks of SOR2 (i own a few).

Akiba's Trip 2 because I love the story and characters, GTA San Andreas because I think it's the best GTA game and is still so much fun.
And also Destruction Derby 1 & 2 for a combination of fun gameplay, and in the sequels case, very challenging in a good way for me.
