Childhood friends always bond to closer connections, I never had a childhood friend of opposite gender and neither today. But the question is: Do you have one? Did you have one?

I had two.
I was very good friends with two brothers who lived nearby me and went to school with me until they moved away. One was my age and the other one was a year younger.

"I smiled as I sip my coffee. 5 years ago had passed. I thought to myself, 'will I ever see her smile again?'. Glancing at my watch, I noticed it was getting late. So, I stood up and made for the door of the cafe. As I was about to grasp the door knob, the door flew open and I bumped into someone. We both muttered our apologies and when we laid our eyes on each other, the world seemed to stop.

The girl in front of me was the first to recover and flashed me a beautiful smile. After 5 years, I once again heard the voice of my friend. "Hi there, Wad", I smiled back and said hello as well."

Actually went and grabbed some food and played smash with my buddies I haven't seen in years, last month. That was pretty fun. Though I think the sad thing about finding childhood friends is knowing how different they are after all the years they've been through.

I didn't. All of my childhood friends were snotty little boys with paper helmet who loved playing pranks at my neighborhood by blowing some firecrackers, burning used tires, or slaughtering mice and scatter the carcasses in public park. And we once made a promise together to name our children (if we ever have one) with Satria (Knight), Pahlawan (Hero), or Bedil (Firearm) because they sound cool and manly. Now that we look back again at our childhood antics, we often feel embarassed over it and then laugh our ass off.

Unlike anime, it doesn't take cute little girls to make my childhood times so memorable. And i'm grateful in that regard.

When I was a kid I wanted to be around the girls but other boys kept dragging me off. Id talk to the girls and stuff but I didnt make any close friends with girls but neither was that close with the boys either. This went differently once I was older where most my friendships now are with girls.

Well, I'm still kinda friends with my elementary school mates and I was with them since I was 6. One of them is a girl, she is quite the person so we always have our fights, and the other one is a guy, our friendship is a bit strained because of the school changes for the both of us, but we still talk from time to time.

Lol it's a good premise, and if that ever happens to you, let us all know. xD

I'd write it as a fanfic but fanfiction.net doesn't accept non series-based fics and IDGAF about wattpad.

EDIT: Their was another girl I was friends with as well, both of our families got along well.

Had two.

The neighboring childhood friend was a year or two younger than me. His love for me was unrequited. He told me he wanted to marry me in front of his mum. I felt very awkward and his mum laughed.

I don't remember the name of the other one. I've got pretty fond memories of him, apparently he use to cry when I didn't come to school. I forgot his last name so I can't find him on Facebook.

Yeah, well, more like childhood acquaintance, that became a friend during late childhood/early teens, but it's close enough I guess. And yes, we're still friends.

Yes, but we live far away from each other nowadays. Our families has known each other long before we were born though. Her grandma and my grandma were also friends. We used to be a couple in our younger days, he.

Used to. Don't talk anymore and lost all contact.

The oldest friend I now have is one that I've known for...about 8 or 9 years now.

I do. One of them, around 3 years younger than me, considers me a brother and my parents as parents. Another, just a month or so younger than me, I'm not in as good terms with, but still well enough to joke around with each other and a third, that I consider a sister and she considers me a little brother. Haven't met or talked to either of them in quite a while now, though.

Same here. My ''first'' kiss was with her. Her parents and my parents are close so she comes in to play with me. She transferred schools and that's it. Chat here and there in between but it didn't really make any difference. We eventually grew apart. Now we are like complete strangers. She probably has a boyfriend now as she is pretty cute, not that I mind.

Sorta the same as me, minus the "kiss" part. Our mothers were the best of friends at the time, and we knew each other ever since we were very young when we played family and all that shiz. Well, it wasn't only one person, there were three. My brother and I used to play with the 3 daughters of the lady my mother knew.

I think the only reason we even lost contact was because my mother lost all her friend's info and we moved.

Eh.
