| I have a habit of forgetting them when trying to post who they are in the Identify Anime thread to where I have to look up the anime to find the character. Aside from that, characters I don't really care about or aren't overally mentioned on forum discussions I'll forget after a while, probably like most people. |

| Indeed. I remember the important names and tag the rest with random names. For example in Hunter x Hunter in the Chimera Ant arc, We have the expendables, the bald scared guy, Mr. Smokey, Gon, Killua, Netero, Ant-King Meru, Komugi, Zetsubo woman, random people, civilians, and the Assassins. |

| I have good hearing memory, but I'll get trouble when the name is spoken little differently than it is written. And as I watch my series undubbed with english subs, if the written word differ from the heard much, I have troubles learning it. But usually I have an okay memory. Not good, but nt absolutely shit, either. |

| I would say I remember the characters names a fair amount of the time, it depends if I'm enjoying the anime or not honestly. The more enjoyable and unique the characters are the more chance of me remembering their names. |

| After I finish an anime, I always forget some of the character's names and I would just sit there and try to remember them for a long time. If I it takes too long, I would search it up. |

| i usually do, but it depends on how into the anime i am. sometimes i only remember the general gist of their names. if i'm really hating the anime but still trying to pay attention i'll just remember their appearances or something |
| If there's a lot of characters with similar sounding names i might get confused but usually i remember who is who. Same can happen even with American films. And it's not hard for me to remember the names of the characters that i really like. |
| Yes... only if they're the main cast or somehow managed to get my attention. It depends mostly on whether a show gets my attention. After finishing a series, I might forget the names of everyone if the show wasn't that memorable to begin with. Even after watching two Expendables films, I still can't remember character names because the actors are more notable than the characters themselves. |

| I'm really bad with names, but I try hard to remember. I realize much too often that I lose some enjoyment from watching when I hear dialogue referring to character X which I don't remember thanks to my poor memory, forcing me to pause and check who that character is. With characters I really like or find interesting, the names stick almost immediately. |

| It's easy to remember the names the more you watch anime. I guess it's just a simple matter of getting used to the language. |
