| There's one thing good about my favourite characters in the series dying - they'll never undergo Character Decay and they'll be forever remembered in their prime. That's what I've always been saying. But, fuck... I promised myself: no crying, you already know that (thanks to Anime Spoiler Osmozzis). And yet I'm still bawling like a freakin' kid. R.I.P Kamina. |

| Kamina absolutely had to die at some point in order for Simon to be able to grow as a character. I mean, for all intents and purposes in these first eight episodes Kamina was the main character and Simon has been in the background. I think it was a great move on the part of the writers, though I didn't think it would happen so early in the series. The only problem is that Kamina is pretty much the only character I actually like so far. However, this was a well done episode. So, I guess there is hope. |

| Already knew that kamina would die, but jesus christ this episode was freaking awesome! Transformation, action scenes + the script for this episode was amazing. Was pretty much watching half the episode with my mouth open thinking holy crap! Now for the aftermath and a depressing episode :( |

As soon as Yoko and Kamina kissed, and Simon happen to be nearby, I know it's over for Kamina. Kamina's death is on Simon's account. I still prefer this quote "Believe in me who believes in you." by Kamina. but... "Believe in you, as you believe in yourself" is more suited for a boy to become an independent man. It is a very good anime moment, though I've seen better, I'll remember this moment for a while to come. This scene didn't cause too big of an impact on me. However, this scene definitely top almost all of Hollywood's great moments. If only non-anime fans are not so critical about anime. Simon is going to be great ^_^, He's definitely the man who shouted "Who the hell do you think I am" at the beginning of episode 1... | I'm dissapionted that kamina dies it's realy ruined the anime for me he was an important character and he had just gotten together with yoko. If Simon gets together with yoko I'll just give up on this anime all together. Is there an altenative story line where he lives? If not there should be one |

| Freaking GAR overload. I wasn't spoiled, well actually I kinda was I just didn't realize it until it happened. I sorta expected him to die though, characters that GAR never last, but I didn't think it would be so soon. |

| With this, TTGL pushed way up in my favorite list, and despite not having Kamina anymore, and despite not having completed this anime. I was spoiled by the episode title itself, and was already getting goosebumps as the fights went on, and when he came out of the Gurren-hatch, i was like "GET INSIDE ALREADY!" But just when I thought he was dead, he came back to life to give Simon a lesson of the lifetime. I am amazed, spellbound and speechless. This is a must see Anime for everyone. 2 episodes pushed my ratings from 7 to a 10. And now its my all time favourite no matter how it ends. It might remain there for a while, to me, it was the manliest of deaths I have seen in an anime. Those who mocked his death in this discussion thread must have nothing left in their life. I pity them. honestly. I am finishing this epic anime in 2 days. Kamina will remain my all time favourite character no matter what :) Note: Dub is epic fail. Try [Black-Order] releases, since they did epic with GIGAAAA... DRILLLLL... BREAKER! |

| Wasn't expecting it to happen to quick. I knew it would happen. Not from spoilers or anything like that. But Simone HAD to have Kamina die. It was the only way he could step out of the shadows and into the limelight. |
| First five minutes was completely unnecessary if you ask me... but more importantly, Kamina D: Very unexpected, props to the writers for doing it so tastefully, even though Kamina completely made this show for me. Looking forward to seeing how this will shape Simon's character :) And even though I will probably get flamed for this, I still have yet to see what function Yoko provides other than cheap fanservice. |
