11m sales for One Piece, my god... Shingeki no Kyojin at 2nd with almost same sales as One Piece, that's truly fearsome yet great. Also glad to see a sport related manga in top 3. While Naurto at sixth rank with 5M, aint half bad though.

Yo Tokyo Ghoul earlier this year was ranked at 26 but then jumped to 4th that's amazing. The anime was definitely a huge success, no wonder it's getting a season 2. Well deserved I say.

OP still the King of Kings.

Tokyo Ghoul anime boost wasnt as bad as Magi had last year, but still I knew They were gonna be in 4th place, defeating Nardo was surprising.

The Kaguya fight was one of the worst fights in manga history

Fairly obvious, when it has been charting like crazy since the anime started airing. The anime is doing its job of advertising the source material. Tokyo Ghoul has experienced the same thing... but other manga such as Akame ga Kill! hasn't (unless the upcoming new volume in December shows any sign of an anime boost).

Terra Formars is pretty high without much of anime boost, and AssClass is in the Top 10 without one. It will be interesting to see what they look like next year.

Nice to see Tokyo Ghoul getting the attention it deserves.

I'm excited to see what series next year has for us.
In 2013 it was SnK. 2014 had Tokyo Ghoul and Taizai (and you could say Haikyuu too).

SnS and AC are fairly popular right now and will continue to grow, but, what series will be the next hype one? My Hero Academia maybe?

If I recall correctly, the Light Novel changed publisher and their, say, sales code changed as well hence reseting their total sales as they are selling under a new "sales code."
Too tired and I don't remember the correct term ;_;

One Piece and Shingeki no Kyojin were so close at the first two places this year. Well done for Shingeki no Kyojin once again, to be able to get so high.

Haikyuu, Kuroko no Basket and Diamond no Ace are in top 10, while Yowamushi Pedal is in 14th place. Except for Kuroko no Basket, I don't understand why sports manga are this popular in Japan.

Tokyo Ghoul got the strongest anime boost from the rest, it seems. Now I understand why it was bound to get a second season.

Magi and Nanatsu no Taizai also got some nice anime boosts. I suppose the latter will have high sales in next fiscal year, as well.

Ansatsu no Kyoushitsu got a large boost even before the anime started airing. It looks to me that this'll be a big one next year. It depends a bit on how good the anime will be. I plan on watching this so I hope it will be good. Another one I noticed being pretty high up even without anime airing yet is Shokugeki no Souma.

Terra Formers is still quite popular in Japan despite seemingly getting a bad reception due to the censorship. I'm surprised. However, I do not remember seeing it sell much more after the anime started airing.

Fairy Tail's last volume started selling right at the end of this fiscal year. I'm glad to see both Bleach and Fairy Tail still hanging up there, though. Same thing with Gintama and Kuroshitsuji.

Haikyuu!! got a boost of 6,227,498 copies, while Tokyo Ghoul got a boost of 5,279,855 copies.
The obvious strongest boost of the year is Haikyuu!! Also Tokyo Ghoul has 1 more volume selling than Haikyuu!! Tokyo Ghoul with 14 volumes while Haikyuu!! with 13. I don't see how Tokyo Ghoul had any kind of stronger boost.

Assassination Classroom got basically no boost from last year! It sold 37,426 copies more. I wouldn't call that any kind of significant boost.

TG blue ray/DVD sales are bit disappointing, they cant beat a crappy adaptation of Sailor Moon.

FT had a 500K decrease compared to last year.

FT last year did 3,790,151 with no anime and this year did 3,275,885 with their anime back.

I don't know what is funny. The 32.9 Million was people getting caught with the series. Now almost everybody in Japan already caught to the last volume so you will not have huge backlog sales.

You could just do a simple math and see that 4 volumes per year * 3,000,000 copies per volume = 12,000,000 copies sold per year. So in no way would one Piece do numbers like 14M, 32.9M, 23.4M and 18.1M if it wasn't for the backlog sales.

In 2011, One Piece got around 500k(half a million) new readers and so it got that huge of a number. You can't wait for every year for a new group of half a million readers to get into your manga. Majority of titles don't even get 500k readers!

Yup, http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=370525
2011 One Piece first volume sold 500,000 copies those numbers were because of the BOOM on sales One Piece received, every manga that receives a boost end up like this,One Piece is just more obviously because of the huge numbers,I mean is there any people that think a Manga is able to mantain 32 mil a year?

I'm talking about hype. Fighting type series tend to be overly-hyped, more than sports one.

Even though Haikyuu sold more than TG, it is nowhere as hyped as the latter (from my point of view). Don't misunderstand me, I'm not talking about quality or anything like that lol.

Ansatsu no Kyoushitsu got a large boost even before the anime started airing. It looks to me that this'll be a big one next year. It depends a bit on how good the anime will be. I plan on watching this so I hope it will be good.

Haikyuu!! got a boost of 6,227,498 copies, while Tokyo Ghoul got a boost of 5,279,855 copies.

I did say "from the rest" where I mentioned Haikyuu above it.
However, you're absolutely right about Assassination Classroom. The volumes are not selling much higher than last year already. It still is true that it's pretty high for something that didn't have an anime airing yet.

TG blue ray/DVD sales are bit disappointing, they cant beat a crappy adaptation of Sailor Moon.

FT had a 500K decrease compared to last year.

FT last year did 3,790,151 with no anime and this year did 3,275,885 with their anime back.

Well, my personal opinion is that the anime was pretty weak except for a couple of minutes that were well done here and there. It surely could've been better than it was.
Yes, it's too bad Fairy Tail's going downward quite a lot even with the anime restarting, as you mentioned. I think Bleach dropped quite a bit, too, but it seems to have a more solid fan base. It has been almost three years since the anime ended after all.

Tokyo Ghoul beating Naruto, and Magi still on TOP 10 amuses me. Greatly.

Seven Deadly Sins on Top 10 already is a good promise for the next year.

Assassination Classroom, the same.

Oh, and FT is still above Bleach, okay. This FT arc is likely the better in years, and Bleach is lacking any emotion since the
