| And so this arc ends. Many tears were shed, breaths were held for episodes long, fear...many feelings. 61 episodes. Okay, so I have mixed feelings, but it was mostly freaking amazing throughout this arc. I honestly didn't like the addition of Knuckle/Palm (she was better later on)/Shoot/Morel/Knov (who I didn't like near the end) and Pitou. I did like the Meloreon (can't spell), the octopus (amazing character btw) and Pouf. Can't forget to mention my OTP who stayed together to the very end. I really liked this arc just because it showed how Meruem struggled between being human and being an ant. I loved how he grew into this human-like ant and found someone to care about and protect. Even though I got spoiled that they would both die, it was still heartbreaking to watch. I liked the growth of Gon and Killua as well, although Gon did annoy me slightly. So far, the second best arc after Yorknew. |

I respect that they were well developed characters but honestly, it was too much focus on these side characters. |

I don't think this will play out quite like, say, how Naruto and Obito's "own meeting" has gone. Don't fret there being any Talk-no-Hatsus, to say the least. Since he was said to be headed to Meteor City, this may tie in with what remains of the "Phantom Troupe" side of the story. As far as the anime's concerned, there's no way anyone can find this tidbit out. I'd hope that not many anime-watchers shrugged off all the talk of Gyro to be nonsense. If so, I don't see how non-CA-arc enthusiasts would really wanna continue, when that time comes (unless they/Togashi make room for some other type of foreshadowing/developmental tie-in down the line). |

| I love how this episode wraps up the arc. And I have to admit I teared up during Reina and her mother's reunion. Meruem's twin being Kite is a really interesting idea. How will it play out...? Oh, and Ging. A father in par with Gendou Ikari and the lot. Hm |
| Kite's rebirth, funny how he turned out to be a loli though. Reina and Brovada accepted by the residents, wish they added a more dramatic effect whilst Brovada is talking to the old lady. Daddy has appeared! And will finally get to see Hisoka in the next arc <3 |

| LOL NOW Ging actually shows up. Hopefully he'll have his meet up with Gon by the time this anime is over. That was a pretty emotional reunion between Reina and her mom. I'm guessing Colt will eventually find them again too. And it looks like Kite was reborn into a Chimera ant as well. Which is odd considering pitou kept Kites body but maybe fed part of his body to the queen at some point.. |

| The whole Meruem/Komugi scene last ep was really well done and emotional but i wasn't forming tears, how did the Reina reuniting with her mother scene make me cry so much? :'(((( I guess cause I loved the little ant since she first appeared (she's so cuteeee) that scene was too touching. Great episode. |

| Considering the Zodiacs are the leaders of the Hunters, and that Ging is one of them, they must be strong AF, right? Then why didn't Netero bring them with him to fight the Ants instead of bringing Morau, Knuckle and co? Totally honest question btw. |

| So we get the Chimera ant victory lap eh? It's ok the lobster dude and the little ant girl who got killed in the beginning returning to that one village hit me right in the feels. Isn't Colt the little boy from the beginning? Wonder if he'll ever reunite with his family too. Speaking of Colt check in with him real quick this episode. And it seems the child he saved from the dying Ant Queen is a female reincarnated Kite? Is that accurate? I dunno we never got back to that. Gon your selfish little ass better be ready to apologize because Killua looks determined to save you. I've enjoyed Killua's shaken faith in his and Gon's friendship these past few episodes. It's real as hell that at certain times being friends with someone can feel like the easiest most natural thing in the world. Than in times of stress when it gets rough you question how good of friends you were to begin with. Wonder if we'll see Welfin find Gyro by the end? Also holy shit Ging, as someone who hasn't read the manga or anything I did not expect him to just show up at the end. |

| I hope Killua won't do anything like sacrificing himself for the sake of saving Gon.. And about the girl calling herself Kite, I'm torn apart on whether I want Morsel to tell that to Gon & Killua or not. I want to believe it, and yet I can't help but wonder if it's another false hope - I won't fall for that for the third time.......i think >__< All this time I just can't help but wonder, why did the Hunters association not send more powerful hunters (like the zodiacs??) to hunt down the chimera ants??? Finally we see Ging! Has Gon forgotten his original motive was to see his father sighs why did he not care for his life during his fight with Pitou... T___T Is he now physically a shrivelled old man like how Netero was after his ultimate move? Dammit Gon you and your single-tracked mind ;__; I wonder if Ging would hear about Gon and decide to meet him, I wish he would.. Breaks my heart every time I see Gon and Killua the way they are now..😢 Hina is going to meteor city and she can dispel Nen right, I guess that means we'll see her meeting the phantom troupe sooner or later? |

| I'll miss you, Hina. I hope we get to see you again. Never had an Antfu before, but you're the first. So the Ant is Reina. I thought it was the baby. How nice to see a family is not overrated scene. The mom recognized Reina immediately. Kite is the baby. What? Gon on life support, huh? Well, that's what happens when you trade plot for power. Speaking of Gon...how the hell is he still 12? Killer taking the Hunter exam contradicts it. Who will be the next NTR? Look who arrived via Accompany on...Nigg(a)...I mean Ging. And that was the end of the Chimera Ant arc. Took 60 episodes to finish, but it was good....except the part when Ponzu.... *wipes tears* I still miss you, Ponzu. |

| Feel happy for Hina, Welfin, & Bizeff all of them are reformed and I can see an exciting adventure ahead of them while searching for Gyro. Brovada dude enjoy the happiness for helping Reina and her mother to get together again. I hope y'all live a happy life (offscreen hope for me). Colt lol you need to be with your mother too so you can be reunited with the real Reina. Looks like Kite was actually reborn as an ant too but in a diff gender. Funny how Master Morel got off the phone and off his clutches to call out/ search for Gon & Killua with that info. Gon wil definately be saved if Killua is that serious. Yay his dad showed up for the election let's hope Gon gets well to meet him. |
| I know I bitched in earlier episode threads about how the show slowed to a crawl, but this stretch of the final three episodes of the arc made it all worth it. This arc was not only up to the high bar set by the rest of the show, but it kept with the highest standards of anime. It took my expectations, told me to hold its beer, and went right for the throat with how beautifully everything resolved. Reina came home, and the dam within me burst. I really have to think hard about how badly I can knock the show's pacing while praising everything else about it as I gear up to present the show with my final grade here. The arc did almost everything right, it just presented some things poorly, had a strange obsession with narrating every last little detail throughout much of the arc's middle, and really tested my patience with the slow development of the palace invasion. Back to the episode, Gon looks like he's going to be in a very bad way, which is a shame because Ging has once again entered the spotlight. These Zodiacs seem to represent either a faction or a form of leadership within the Hunter Association, so it will be interesting to see how that develops. Also HISOKA OMFG. |

Basically what was in my head for a while. the excuse "If they bring more hunters the king will eat them and will become stronger" doesn't work well when they bring the likes of Knuckle, Shoot, Gon and Killua, who compared to the Zodiacs should have been seen as greatly weaker and not as experienced. But I mean it's all for the plot so... Politics involved... Pay attention and you will get it. |
