| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I love how Gon and Kurapika are so willing to fail the Hunter Exam to save Leorio.. It's beautiful :) But that's actually a pretty crazy scenario.. I'm not sure how they'll make it out, but I know they will <3 Killua was pretty awesome. I honestly wanted to see a fight, but it was still cool. Also, looks like next episode has parts off the island. Kind of a spoiler if they manage to get out of the cave. 5/5 - Not as intense as the previous episodes because the main part of the phase (Gon and Hisoka) is over, but still interesting :D. Can't wait for next week! |
| lol Enjoying this series as if I haven't seen it before. Forgot some of the things that happened in the hunter exam. Killua was awesome this week. Love how clever he as and how cool he is. 2nd favorite character of all time. Him tricking/noticing Mr. "Ninja" Honzo was impressive since Ninjas should be good at hiding but then again Killua's an ex-assassin. I love when he's nonchalant and cool like he was that scene. The scene with the snakes was a little hazy to me but I remembered the gist of it. Good to see the three of them teaming up again, can't wait till the next round though and for this one to be finished even though it was pretty good. |

| i Liked the episode. Killua did seem like a badass for sure. it was pretty funny seeing Hanzo getting the wrong tag he looked as if he was like "Yeah i didn't have to do anything, see how cool i am." but he looks down and ends up getting tricked. Lol I can't wait to see how three of them handle the situation they're in it should be awesome. |

| Compared to the last 2 episodes, there were not very epic components as Hisoka part is over, and now the only one who still needs the tag(s) is Leorio. Killua was OK I guess. It would be really cool to see his new tricks - if there are any- apart from the hand manipulation, but we will see in the following episodes I think, because if there is only one thing I am sure of, it is that Killua will definitely pass the exam. I am really curious about the 5th phase, but I also want to see what will come after the whole exam is over. This show is just making me watch it as soon as it's released on Sunday mornings. |

 Killua is still the coolest. And he always looks so calm even in the midst of attack, almost comical. Episode ending almost made me want to peak in the manga. |

| This exam has been done very well. I'm happy with this episode and the last few, may even be better than the original (not overall just this exam). I hated the recovery episodes mentioned above for example, but I think those were fillers if I recall correctly. I also like that they said he was dead and did not change it to something like paralyzed. Looking forward to more |

| I thought they would finish this phase, with this episode. So now it'll be the interviews already, next time? Fine then. Killua switching the tags was new. I found it more comical, that Hanzo failed on his own, in the manga, but the idea of Killua tricking him is also nice. I don't like Pons' design in the adaption. I loved her empty gaze in the manga. :/ But the Kurapika's explanations with her in SD were awesome. One of the better episodes. |

| Finally a female. Got bored from all the male characters. Ponzu is really cute. It was a good episode. Leorio is damn funny with that knife. So simple yet so cool. |

I also feel the same honestly after I finish one episode from this remake I strangely tend to forget what I just saw the next day. I'm afraid I will keep on being disappointed with this remake even if it's interesting and they are trying so hard to follow the manga perfectly. I sometimes think they could have done better than this, the studio is not my favorite. Also please when some of us mention how the fillers from the original were so perfect and good, don't make us sound stupid because we know those weren't in the mange they are original-only. That what makes the original more memorable than the remake after all those years. I actually strongly disagree with this. The 2011 series has been better in almost every regard, in my opinion. As someone who started out with the series by reading the manga, the 1999 series was often a disappointment because the type of filler they employed. Rather than keeping it seperate from canon moments (or writing filler that shows what the characters did outside of canon moments), the 1999 series' strategy was to alter the material in Togashi's manga. Conversations and dialogue, art style, direction, etc. So much was different that it became hard to even see it in the same light as the manga. This doesn't mean that I dislike the 1999 series, but it fails at being a faithful adaptation. And many of those creative choices led to problems in the future, which ended up contradicting things in the manga. I almost see the 1999 series as an alternate universe rather than a full adaptation of Togashi's work. |
| Killua! X3 Even when his fights aren't much he's entertaining. He was so chilled the whole time XD. (And... you know the censorship is serious when I get excited over seeing a little blood. Guess I'm still disappointed about Killua's fight in Trick Tower.) At the comments about the fillers... all the added stuff in the original anime actually made it amazing, which is really strange. I'm pretty adamant about sticking to the manga most of the time, but what the anime added in actually worked. This seems really rushed compared to the original, even if it is more accurate. I really liked Gon's 'recovery' episode... it was all psychological and stuffs and made Hisoka even more scary. This remake is good, but it's completely different stuff to the original, and I don't think it will ever match it in my mind. To be honest, if it wasn't for the censorship this would probably match the original. It's worth it for the clean animation though~ And am I the only one who thinks the snakes looked awesome whut-- |
