All licenses updated for now. As Redfoxoffire said, I will be taking over the quarterly threads from her since she is resigning.

I hope I will be able to do as a good a job as she did on these threads. I might be a little slow at first, so please do excuse me if I make any mistakes.

A small note about Right Stuf's licensing -

It seems that both Amaenaide yo!! and Amaenaide yo!! Katsu!! will be released through their Lucky Penny Entertainment Label, which is supposed to be their budget anime arm. Both seasons have been licensed together and will be released as a single 26 episode set.

(Just in case someone is confused about the both links in the sources linking to the same press release)

^ I can't tell you how hard I laughed when I found that out. They're actually doing it. It's happening.

If we're posting about UK licenses, I assume Australia ones will be listed too?

A few days late, but Hanabee announced Campione!, Zero no Tsukaima and Shinsekai Yori.

It's licensed by both. You see, Sentai Filmworks and Madman Entertainment do licenses for completely different regions of the world. Madman picked up the license for it in Australia, whereas Sentai Filmworks licensed it for North America.

Hence why it says 'Australia' in brackets.

Incidentally, I think Right Stuf should have North America in brackets after its name.
Manga UK is probably self explanatory, but could have one anyway.

Anime Limited confuse things, by the fact that the license listed on this thread is for the UK and North America, whereas most of their series are for the UK only (although they seem to be indicating that Mai Mai Miracle is far from being a one-off in its licensing regions).

I'm new to paying attention to this type of thing. Why would they do this when it's already available inexpensively? Only last summer, I paid $20 at retail for both seasons in a single package.

Anime Limited's newly redesigned website contains info about:
- They will be releasing Kill La Kill on home video. Scheduled release is in Q4 2014
- Tiger and Bunny: The Rising, which has a TBC date for home video release.

On the absence of information to the contrary, these should all be considered as licenses for the UK + Ireland ONLY.

I added in licenses for this quarter from this - http://www.alltheanime.com/dates-q1/

I am not sure whether I should add all the licenses mentioned there. I'll take a decision on that once I have had some time to think.

I couldn't find a mention of the kill la kill license anywhere but I do see it's scheduled for Q4.

That's the release schedule. Everything except the two things I mentioned had already been announced, so don't belong on this thread.

Yet another announcement came whilst I was busy doing something else...

...but anyway...

MVM Entertainment license ToraDora for UK release by the end of this year. This includes a release on Blu-Ray.

Source: http://www.mvm-films.com/news?ID=2024

Incidentally, I believe this is the first time ever that a series licensed in the US by NISA has been announced for release in the UK.

Girls und Panzer was already licensed (although not yet released). It's a similar case with From the New World, Campione, Familiar of Zero and Accel World which also had blu-rays announced over the last few days - although Accel World was announced in January so does belong on this thread.

One that did slip through was their licensing Arcana Famiglia (source). No release details yet, or actual announcement direct from MVM themselves.

Did I say it was so strange? And did you see the "=P"? Did you think I was seriously criticizing him or something? Maybe you should lighten up...

Anyways, maybe Campione will make some extra money from the license in Australia, I thought it sold decently in Japan right? As far as harems like that go, I thought it was pretty enjoyable.

I think Kuroko not getting licensed may be tied to those threats against the author. Now that the guy's been caught, it could happen. But still, sports anime just don't sell, so most distributors aren't willing to take the risk. Kuroko does have a significantly large fanbase in the west, though.
