| I honestly didn't expect much from this going in... I walked out a convert. Tomoko's VA did an absolutely amazing job. For an anime who's central character is so important, they did have to nail the voice acting. Was so torn after watching this. I loved laughing at Tomoko's failed attempts at popularity. Then I felt terrible at laughing at those attempts and wanted just to give her a hug. She's oddly endearing and adorable, despite her crazy monologues. For the people that said this sucks you in, you're totally right. Third anime of the summer season to pass the 1st episode test! |

| I loved it! This is probably my favorite first episode of the season so far. Tomoko is adorable as well as relatable. I could sympathize with her every time someone tried to talk to her and she had trouble replying. And I could also relate to her enthusiasm when she had a "normal conversation." Well, I'm definitely looking forward to more of this. |

| I'm still not sold on the need for an anime. Even with a perfect adaption, twenty minutes at a time might be too much for me to handle. AirStyles said: Watamote is an odd sort of comedy.  You know that sinking feeling when you know you've done something wrong (laugh at Tomoki's attempts) and nothing you do or say can defend what you did. I felt that here. I really love her character now. Sidenote: Is it true that this manga is selling like hotcakes in Japan? I'm hearing fastest selling manga ever. True? |

| Quite fun but, as a manga reader, I was expecting more "crazyness" on the inner voice of tomoko. Whatever, It'll be the best "comedy" of the season. |
| Well, this was everything I was expecting and more. I was grinning like an idiot throughout the entire episode; they really captured the spirit of the manga perfectly. Her voice fits very well, and her brother has the same exasperated tone I imagined him having. The anime medium definitely helps play up certain parts of the manga, like the awkward pauses of which we saw plenty in this episode. I completely lost it when she said goodbye to the teacher, even more so than when I read that part in the manga. Her character design is quite good as well, glad we get to see the squiggly eyes in some parts. The metalcore/post-hardcore OP song was interesting, definitely not what I was expecting. Was quite enjoyable though, always nice to hear some heavier music in anime OPs and EDs. The ED was quite charming as well, the animation and the in-character singing were great. Very glad for the full-length episodes, there's a real goldmine of material for them to cover. Looking forward to next week's episode and of course to hear HanaKana voicing Yuu. |
Some of this was pretty painful. I don't know if I really laughed that much, but I did feel for her character. It's pretty bad when you can't find ONE friend. ONE person to even annoy you, or talk to you at school. |

| Neato. I was kinda sad after Oregairu ended that I wouldn't be able to get my weekly dose of "anti-social main character in extremely awkward situations", but this show fills in that void quite nicely. Gonna keep watching. |

I was a bit skeptic about this anime, because it would be hard to have a show with only 1 main character, and there aren't that many reoccurring characters, but it went really well. My advice for Mokocchi: Go for the brother route! XD lolz |

| I was wondering how Mokocchi would sound. I've had my own voice for her since the manga began so I was excited to see how the 'official' voice would hold up. My expectations would totally and utterly surpassed. Kitta is fucking perfect. Nakamura did a great job as Otouto-kun. I eagerly await the next episodes. |

Comedy is about laughing on people's mistake and stuff that people don't actually do.There are more do that, but this Anime probably will only focus on the miserable life of Tomoko . Some people will laugh, some don't.Its just a matter people will get the joke or be serious about it. Some of the comment here remind me of the commercial joke I seen in discovery channel about "Snuffy the Seal " xD |
