When it all comes down to it, they're the same to me as real girls, just more copy-cat and predictable, and lacking a physical form. Whether they are 'attractive' or not depends on so much. Image-wise, yes, a lot of them are because they are meant to be. |

How I see it (and as an artist) that anime is just a pastime and is only meant for entertainment. 2D characters are not real/alive, they have no feelings and their design/personality is a figment of the creators. Again, that’s how I see it. However, I am a woman who is getting married to my soon to be wife and I have no interest in other real-life women. Nevermind then, we have our unique opinions, I must still say that you're right about their personalities being just a figment but just because I find anime characters in general a failure figment but as an artist you can create your own universe which only exist in your mind (pretty delusional) and in those who are receiving the message so it can still fit in your life in some other way, and in that way there's a possibility that you can fell attracted to a character which you crafted "perfectly" and by simulating their presence you gain even more acess to that fictional attraction that's how I see these kind of thinks. It's delusional but still kinda philosophical in some way? |
