| I prefer the ovas for sure, this episode was terrible. High tempo is all well and good, if you don't sacrifice enjoyable parts and parts of the series that make it into the anime it is. ...wow this was a disappointment and here I was looking forward to this episode. Sad. |

| The first half of Greed Island is certainly slower paced than the second half from what I remember, but I gave this episode 5/5 just because Biscuit showed up :P |

| Woah when was Greed Island's story made? This seriously feels like the predecessor to so many things and is ahead of its time. Hmm Biscuit is an old lady with a borderline loli body. My guess is she uses and excels in Ten (if I remember right from Heaven's Arena) to prevent aging. The way she interacts with Killua is hilarious. |

Togashi (the dude who wrote the manga) is a pretty big on RPGs, so it makes sense that he'd get a lot right with the setting. Heck he's probably playing Dragon Quest right now, seeing as how not writing anything in over a year would offer up free time. |

| They got the sword of truth card, only to have it nabbed from them from a group of players. lol Apparently Gon and killua are RPg gamers. They get all excited from hearing the words monsters and bandits lol The phantom troupe playing the game, discovers quite some secrets bout the game. Shalnark discovers that the game world was modeled after a real location which could indicate that these nen cards are not actually magic with in the game, cause logically nen is the primary use of power in the series. So some how they have to be manipulated by some type of nen. He also discovers that you can take 3 cards with you to the outside world. Given that fact, there could be players outside that actually have possession of some of these cards. Yes, finally Biscuit makes her entrance. Or should i say... well nmv Anyways i like how they showcase all of the elements to this game, the monsters and gon and killua are failing miserably. I like the interaction between Buiscuit and Killua lol. Next episode is going to be interesting. |

Maybe I just watched the episode at a bad time I dunno know. I haven't read Greed Island in a while but I do remember the first half of this arc is on the slow side so I'm glad they're going at this brisk pace. It's weird, I'm liking they're skipping the unimportant stuff but at the same time I'm not. What I did like about the episode though was Biscuit getting pissed at Killua throughout the entire episode and the chibi montage of Gon and Killua trying to kill enemies. Also Biscuit changing her voice when she's playing the cute girl and her teacher voice was pretty funny. Chibi Shalnark!!! : D hmm, really? I kind of though it was the apposite. I though this new version of the anime would have more improved pacing and not rush things. But i haven't seen the ova's in like years so i don't know. I might have to check them out i guess at some point in time. |
