| oh dear, these are the worst comments so far. complaining about FLOWERS? really? honestly? the veterans are wailing about as if they were promised a COMPLETE COPY of '99 in just HD glasses. hisoka's voice in '99 sounds like someone shoved a brick in his throat, and in a way he sounds....clogged. by far the '11 version wins. i'm not sure if i can share spoilers for future episodes, but hisoka's VC talent only appeared for TEN MINUTES in this one. in future ones, that's when things GET REAL. i'm serious, his shriek scared the HECK out if me (not giving when for spoiler protection). to tell the truth killua's VC sounds the same to me in both versions. the only real difference i can tell is that '11 has a more bright, bouncy feel to it while the '99 is more reserved. the added scene of killua's immunity was an unneeded add, but a nice one, btw. |

| Mmmmm. Looks solid so far. So now we're introduced to a bunch of characters whom I kind of have trouble remembering the names of. The only ones I can remember are Hisoka and Killua, who are obviously gonna be important characters in the long run. |

| So just started this on Toonami, after hearing great things about the reboot, so i was honestly surprised with all the hate. Nostalgia goggles must have been tight enough to cut bloodflow to the brain when this first started. I for one really dig Hisoka's and Killua's English VAs. |

| Killua's, Tonpa's and Hisoka's voice can easily be differentiated from the voice of the 1999 version. I just have to get used to it, they might do better on voice acting than the 1999 VA! That is quite a big difference from 1999. Tonpa did not reveal that he's a rookie crusher to the audience up until later in the phase 1 exam in the 1999 version. I just can't stop comparing HxH 1999 and HxH 2011 |

| A lot of interestingly unique Hunter candidates made their debut here, with Killua and Hisoka being the most familiar ones in there. I'm really excited to see how they'll all attempt to pass the Hunter Exams especially with the first test being a seemingly endless run in a dark tunnel to nowhere. I wonder what they'll do with the tunnel once the exams are over though. One Hunter passing every three years is a really big challenge but this year's rookies will prove that they can do it! |

| Oh so that's in this episode that Hisoka and Kirua are introduced, I can't wait to see Kirua with the other characters and to see more of the dark personality of Hisoka, he seems really interesting! |

| the one guy kind of annoys me so far.. the one that was handing out the drinks.. also i'm happy that this is the first episode where killua is introduced, I wonder when killua and gon will eventually meet. I have also heard questionable things about hisoka especially with anitwt and some of my friends that have already seen the show.. i'm excited to see what happens. |

| In this episode, we get to see that clown guy and white hair dude. Also, that bald guy reminds me of Saitama. Nothing interesting yet to get me hooked. Hope it gets better later on and does not turn out to be a boring generic show... |

| Well, that was very exciting. So many new characters got introduced in this episode. It was fun seeing all of them in the test and the first phase of the test has already begun. Can't wait to see what's next. |

| The side characters are pretty cool and fleshed out, and the clown looks like a sweet villain. Although this episode was a bit slow, they definitely could have cut down the introductions. |
