| Yay~ Mero got her own episode. Ah! She's very cute when she blushes!! But I laughed at: Miko: "How can I describe it...It was the smell of a boiled corpse, or something like it." Ichie: "Wait a minute, Miko! Have you smelled a boiled person before?!" Miko: "Of course I haven't. ^^ It's only my imagination." Ichie: "What kind of imagination do you have? =.=" " and this: Ichie: "In the end what kind of story is this?" Miko: "It's the story of how I ate some delicious ramen..." Ichie: "It's not a zombie story after all!" Miko: "The ramen must be more delicious than zombies. ^^ " Ichie: "What kind of comparison is that? -.-" " XDDDD |

| I can understand why they'd make a Mero and friends centered episode, but why now? Why just after the kidnapping? Probably just to build even more suspense. Anyway, the smiliarities between Rea and the memories she has of her mother are striking. Mero's embarrassing moment of calling her "mama" was very cute. Well next week it'll pick up where it left off; the kidnapping! |

| There are some pop psychology theories (which may not stem too far from the truth) that people seek characteristics of their opposite gender parent when they are looking for a relationship (boys look for their mother, girls look for their father). Of course other factors enter into it, but the abandonment issues certainly might explain Chihiro's obsession with zombies--particularly if his mother hung around for a while after she died. If Mero remembers that much of her, Chihiro should remember a lot more, unless he's repressing it for some reason? Anyway, this was not filler. Not simply because it was in the manga, but because it added somewhat to the backstory of the major characters. And I thought it was interesting to see both Sankarea's tact in absenting herself from the dispute between Chihiro and Wanko, and the obvious warmth in her interactions with Mero (aside from the cold dead flesh aspect of it). |

| These breather/filler/break/whatever episodes piss me off. The pacing is just completely ruined when they put these in. Needless to say, I was totally bored by the entire episode. Man, fucking lazy storytelling. Offing a point for the piss poor placement of these episodes. |
| As much as I've liked the series so far and was excited to see a Mero backstory episode (especially after how well done Wanko's was), the first half of the episode was a bit lackluster (not to mention that Mero herself took the backseat in a filler episode)... It was nice to see her relationship developing with Rea at the end though. [Edit]: TOTALLY forgot that this episode was out of sync plot-wise from last week's exciting cliffhanger. Yeah... What the heck's up with that!?!? |

| I don't really mind a filler since they showed a little hint that Furuya and Mero mother is a zombie(and I hope they would explained how she turned into a zombie) but I wish they would show it after Rea father event just to keep the story consistent !! |

| individually, this episode did a fantastic job.. implying hints of a previous zombie incident with Mero's mother and an inevitable end for a zombie.. but being a series, maybe they should've rearranged their episodes better.. this could've fitted better before the kidnapping incident from the last episode.. |

| Wait, wait, wait, wait... Wasn't Furuya on his way to be castrated by Sanka's dad at the end of last episode? I don't have any problem with the episode itself but rather with it's placement... why the hell do we get that episode now? They could easely have switched ep 8 and 9 and it would have been much more coherent and would have felt much more directed properly. I don't think their mother was a zombie. Furuya's grandpa created the recipe for the medecine and maintaining a zombie body is too complicated to do without anyone noticing. Also Furuya would have been the first to notice. She most likely wouldn't have died if she was a zombie as well. The way I saw the flashback was more like "Yes you are hot, but I can't say with my hand if you are still within the spec of normal hot or not" but there could be others explanation such as the heat sensor in her body/hands being weak for whatever reason. Sanka look like her mom and her actions were a reminescence from the past to Mero but it stop at that. If their mom is a zombie then I'm afraid that this story will lose most of it's credibility (Not the credibility that make you think this could happen irl but the one that make you understand and beleive in this fictional world). |

| Looking at Mero's fall , how the hell did she hurt her leg . |
| I thought the direction was heading in a strange direction but the second half made up for it. First, it was Ranko central, now Mero. So I'm assuming that Mero's mother was a zombie too. If that's the case then it's a shame she was eventually put to rest as I can see that happening to Rea too. Next ep seems like an emotional trip to the past. |
| I'm surprised that some people apparently didn't see the preview last week, we knew it wouldn't continue from where it left off. That said, I enjoyed this episode 'cause Mero had a lot of screen time and Mero is one hell of a great character. Yeah, the kids' story wasn't the best thing (it was nowhere near bad, though) but it led to a good transition to Mero remembering her mother which was in the manga, so no filler (and the fuck did I read about the manga containing fillers, there are no fillers in a manga). Those last minutes were great, adorable Mero, a kind Rea and the possibility of Mero's mother being a zombie or at least a subject for experiments. |
| I guess it was pretty cool to learn more about Mero and what her mom was like. Wonder if its possible that the mom was a zombie because the direction sure made it look like it. |

| First I wanted to criticize the episode for shifting focus yet again, but then they dropped that mother was a zombie thing in there when I least expected it, so I give it a 4/5. And no Mero-chan, as much as I like you we don't need a break from the plot after one episode of plot thank you very much. |

| An interesting fact about the way Mero wears her night clothing, her white yukata is tied right over left, which is only ever used when dressing dead bodies. Living people are supposed to wear yukata and kimonos tied left over right. Not to mention the triangular headpiece she wears, which is supposedly what the deceased also wear. Considering that her brother is a zombie nut, that's quite a "ghost" quirk she has herself. It was nice to see that scene with Mero momentarily confusing Rea for her mother, get animated. Though it was supposed to have happened a bit later. Next episode continues where the cliffhanger last episode left off. It seems certain secrets about Rea will be revealed then. |

| Not a bad episode but it seems so out of place. Last episode her brother was kidnapped. And this week they decided to focus on Mero and her friends. What a weird change of pace. |

| I am in two ways about this one........ It was nice to get some information on Miro as I do feel that we haven't seen enough of her, and she is dead cute, but the filler itself wasn't that interesting and didn't even seem to focus on her all the way through... except for the end, which is also gave massive hints that Miro's mother was also a zombie.... I just feel like with it only being 12 episodes, this seemed a bit of a waste to me.... |

| This was longest episode from all of them only because it was filler which made it irritating. If it wasn't unaturally stoping main story it could even be considered very nice episode. But now its just a better filler. Sent with Mal Updater |

| Mero calling Rea "Mama" was absolutely adorable. She got a little fleshing out as a character as well and a possibly interesting development regarding their mother...? Not really sure why they chose to air this right after that last cliffhanger episode though, especially since it seems chronologically out of order. Still a solid episode though, I enjoyed it. |
