LOL @ this show xD HanaKana does an amazing job as usual.
A house full of nerd girls. Lol I just knew this would be funny. Oh and the transvestite lol.
Tsumiki's reactions are one of the best I've seen in any anime, the petrified turning in to stone is hilarious.
The series looks promising! I hope it's as good as the manga! I think the animation is well done! Like the seiyuus (of at least the main characters so far), OP and ED as well!
Really turned around on this anime after the first 5 minutes. Great episode. Good OST, and OP/ED songs. I called the transvestite 2 minutes before the reveal.
Haha, I just knew she was an actual he xD pretty damn nice concept, I love the characters and the setting and the amount of references put into the OP and the overall episode was just too awesome, it's quite a long time until I've actually seen an anime that directly catched my full attention on the first episode!
Promising, but it already hits on a pet peeve of mine --I'll dub it The "Watanuki" Syndrome.
For the one or two of you not yet familiar, the main character in xxxHolic, Watanuki, was such an uber-spastic, it took me three, well-spaced apart attempts to get into the series. He was a major turn-off...literally! Although I never fully warmed up to his character, I did so over the series as a whole. The story, itself, as well as the other characters (main or no), were more than a match for his ridiculously hyped-up freak outs, meltdowns, & hang ups.
Kuraghime's characters, however spastic, come in at a (somewhat) lower level of "Ahhhhhhhhh!" than Watanuki so it's definitely more palatable. As with xxxHolic, I'm hoping that the other aspects of the series outweigh this initial "negative."
After Hourou Musuko was a must focus on a title like that, then all of them together is ... WOW!
Plot that seems pretty original characters equally and if we put in the account even the odd man out, even more so. XD
Good design, animation as well.
Funny dialogues.
I can not wait to see the next episodes.
Dub is great. The role of kuran can pull the female and male voice pretty well. The characters all seem wacky and interesting. I think imma stick around till the end.
Wow, I haven't been this captivated by an anime on the first episode in such a long time. I've fallen in love with Koi, dayum. His eyes are so well-drawn, and the voice is very complimentary
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT STAR WARS REFERENCE IN THE OP? Hahaha. Love the references from different movies, and it makes me proud that I know where those movies come from. Huhu.
This Tsukimi girl is apparently a sucker for jellyfish, like really a sucker. She lived in an apartment together with girls like her who are otaku (I think) and they call themselves The Sisterhood, and no boys allowed in that apartment. Lmao.
Tsukimi losing her shit over that jellyfish Clara. Pfffft. And what's up with the hate for hipsters? Hahaha. Those random references I s2g.
And bruh the moment that beautiful "lady" started talking, I already knew she's a man. Haha. With that voice, it's already evident. Haha. But I still hoped that she just a have a manly voice, but my instincts weren't wrong. He's a man who loves crossdressing. Hahaha. Nothing weird about that. Alright, alright, alright. I mean I've seen an ecchi anime with a guy who loves crossdressing back then, so nothing weird about that. Haha. It brings back memories because that ecchi anime is apparently a vanilla hentai. Haha. I should stop.
5/5 for this episode. I loved it. <3
"Maybe he's trying to take a shit, but the shit just won't come out."
Captain Levi, 2014
Wow, not at all what I expected. It was very chill and relaxing and I really liked it! I didn't read the synopsis so the little surprise at the end really did surprise me!
Its a pretty good 1st ep, but it's weird to watch knowing the 'big, shocking reveal' right from the start. Normally i don't really care about 'spoilers', but this is the only the 2nd time i remember feeling like the show was "spoiled" to any extent (1st time was 'Psycho', the Hitchcock movie). Idk- seems like maybe it'd be obvious anyway, with that super-gravelly voice (in the dub anyway) and over the top clothes/hair.
But usually i don't go for girly shows like this, but this seems pretty good.
Thought the various references were pretty amusing.
And Tsukimi is such an hilariously awkward girl which makes her reactions towards everything she's confronted with extremely funny. This will be a nice little ride.
One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron
I tried watching this baby a couple times in the past and kept thinking "it wasn't for me" at the moment. Now I think the humor and radiance of reference and emotions seep through as I am now an adult woman; not as inept as these otaku girls but similar diagrams to say the least. The art and expressions also look positively great. Can't wait to finish this.
I have to admit that that guy's too hot for my own good but that must mean that it's not gay because he looks prettier than most girls out there. To think that their fated meeting all started with a spotted jellyfish called Clara~ It looks like her mother died too soon oof.
They're all a bunch of quirky socially inept weirdos. I can't even imagine how they would react if they ever find out about a guy infiltrating their castle.
Too many references! And the Heidi parody was simply hilarious xD
Solid start. Premise looks interesting and I'm already liking this quirky and charming group of women. Particularly, I'm finding Tsukimi rather adorable as the MC though I'm not sure if it's mostly due to her character's personality or the fact of having Kana Hanazawa voicing her. Guess it's a mix of both.
Anyways, it seems this will be a quite lovely anime to look forward to.
this is that kind of anime that leaves your heart feeling warm. 🖤
i've read the manga for this for a while and it was really cute. my only worry is about the duration. only eleven eps? ;;;; that can't be.
the op is so clever with all the references and the ed is so beautiful and fitting to the whole theme of the anime. i'm really excited about this and i just don't want it to end.
Wait wait wait, they're not just neets, it really looks like they're all autistic with their own special interests (jellyfish, trains, old warriors, dolls...), and it can also explain why they're all social outcast (hikikomori too it seem) in their bubbles and consider Tokyo metropole a warzone.
The roommate are super goofy and remind me of proud family characters. The jellyfish girl I was like ohhhh she has a deep voice then it was revealed she's a guy lol I already know I'm gonna like this
It's somewhat relatable, but not all the way. I'm similar in that I hyperfocus on things that I like. When I watch something and like it, then it really tends to stick with me. One example is Beyonce. I just play her music quite often, and I can't go a day without hearing her. Another example is Nintendo. I love their games, and playing them just puts me in a much better mood. So her hyper fixation on on things is somewhat relatable, even if jellyfish aren't exactly my thing.
Though her personality isn't relatable to me at all. I've never had crippling social anxiety. Though I've honestly seen some people who have. I used to work at a sandwich shop, and I've seen a few people who just freeze up and can't talk. It was three people. Two were rather young, like high school age, while the other was an adult. They were just very awkward and couldn't hold a gaze, and would just mumble softly. The high schoolers were shocking because both of their parents were very assertive. So I was just wondering why THEY weren't. It was hard to get their order because I had to tell them to repeat their order and really hone in on what they were saying. Mostly because, they were so shy that I didn't want them to repeat it more than once, or they'd spontaneously combust. It was sad because one of my other customers were parents. They had really little kids that were in early elementary school. They had one that looked to be 6 years old, and he ordered better than the teenagers.
I don't know. I just can't relate to crippling anxiety, because how does one function? I just can't imagine being afraid of going outside and being around attractive people. Though meh. Even if the main character's personality is sort of irritating, I'm mostly here for the fashion tbh.
