As per usual, I'm not going to include continuing series (series which started in an earlier season and are still running) or returning series (series which originally started in an earlier season or entirely different year and are coming back with a second/third/second part 2/X season).
To get those out of the way, for continuing series, I'm still watching Tousouchuu: Great Mission, which started in spring, as well as Dark Gathering and Helck, which started in summer. Zom 100, which also started in the summer, is currently on hiatus until late December when it's supposed to finish up Christmas Day.
And for returning series, watching Mahoutsukai no Yome season 2, Goblin Slayer season 2, Arknights season 2, and Saihate no Paladin season 2.
Just judging the brand new series, I'm watching Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro, Sousou no Frieren, Bullbuster, Migi to Dali, Megumi no Daigo: Kyuukoku no Orange, Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu!, Shangri-La Frontier, and The Apothecary Diaries. And tentatively watching (still deciding whether or not to continue watching) Dog Signal and Boushoku no Berserk.
I'd say the top five best from these new ones (so far, obviously) are as follows:
1.) The Apothecary Diaries
2.) Bullbuster
3.) Sousou no Frieren
4.) Migi to Dali
5.) Megumi no Daigo
A few notes about this ranking:
*Of course it's still early enough in that it's all subject to change. The only one I don't see having any reasonable likelihood of potentially shifting a placement or two in any direction is The Apothecary Diaries at #1.
* Frieren might be "better" in the sense of being more artfully and methodically planned out and executed, if trying to judge more "objectively", than something like Bullbuster, but I'm personally enjoying the latter more as it's something a little more novel and fresh which I haven't seen before, which is just like a more hyperrealism-focused and down to Earth working SoL take on the mecha genre
*Megumi no Daigo would be a lot better yet still if it nixed irksome minutes-long flashbacks in early episodes. The definition of unneeded and unhelpful
* The pig isekai was actually the one I was most excited for going based off of premise alone before the season started (though some of these series I didn't even know about the existence of until after the season actually started or right before), but I find the main character and most of the other characters so far, besides the main girl, quite annoying or off-putting in one or more ways
