| Tonari no Totoro would probably have been the first 10 for me, but it wouldn't be fair to rate that since it was one of the first anime movies I saw oh so many years ago. There's always a bias when it comes to the first shows you watch. Since picking up animes again a few years back, there have been a few series that would be really close to 10s, but just missing that certain something. Until now, SHIROBAKO is still the only series that I couldn't really find any fault with - lovingly made, awesome characters and superb chemistry between them, even with the numerous cast. Still the only series that gave me that sense of satisfaction at the end where everything felt complete. Like a perfect book. |

But you can look at "last updated" (click "more") for each 10-er, which tells you when you last edited / changed anything for that list entry. There even is a way to sort the list by "last updated", but I forgot how to do that. :( |

| Akira. I don't really care if people don't think it doesn't deserve it because manga. And yeah the story is confusing. But that animation. This many characters on the screen all look very different all look Japanese to me. All are doing very different things and are very expressive. This just hasn't been done in many anime. I don't want to say none... but I can't really think of another one off the top of my head. And even if there is another... credit where credit is due in a medium that almost never does this.  |
