How do I not remember that....I think that was in my "binge as many anime as possible and retain nothing" phase.

MLM is definitely the show that made me obsessed with romance anime so I'd say try that one first. A lot of people dismiss it as distasteful because it has some really uncomfortable elements but they make sure to show its a legitimate issue, not a cheap gag.

Somehow I still get chills just at the mention of TTGL ;-;

Does No. 6 have a romance element? Its been so long I've totally forgotten lol.

I'd say try out My little monster, Toradora or Kimi ni Todoke. They're probably my favorites :)

For idol genre, Tsukipro might not be the best. It has great music but the anime isn't the best for a newcomer to the idol genre. I would instead, recommend Idolish7 and Uta no Prince-sama or even Tsukiuta (which is the sister series to Tsukipro). Also, Shounen Hollywood is good if you like character focused series.

Start with Barakamon! There's no need for Handa-kun first, although I'm sure it's good (I haven't even watched it yet haha). It gave off very similar vibes to Gakuen Babysitters, if you liked one it's almost certain you'll like the other. One of the most heart-warming, touching, fuzzy stomach feeling shows ever - I loved it so much.

I also hover over shows for ages! Sometimes I feel like I spend more time choosing shows to watch than actually watching them. It would explain the length of my PTW list, and that's not even including my Crunchyroll one, which has another hundred or so in...

As for Gintama - yeah, it only gets better (apart from the slip arc), but it took me a while to get into it too. I didn't like it much for the first 30 eps or so, but I'm so glad I perservered with it. The characters really grow on you after a while, even Elizabeth lol.

Ooh, I do really want to watch Hunter x Hunter, it's gotta be top of the MAL list for a reason! I think the only reason I've put it off for so long was the length, to be honest. It is over 100 eps, after all.

And I'll admit the 'believe in the me that believes in you' part of Gurenn Lagann really impressed me. Kamina was my fave in that one until...you know. Guess I'll try and re-evaluate that one, I could do with some motivation too :)

Yay someone else finally sees the show for how good it is! And not only that, but Death Parade, Bungou Stray Dogs, Gintama (can't wait for summer), Saiki K, and Boku no Hero Academia?! We share so many favourites!

Also, I had a quick look through your list and you really don't seem to give 10s...except for Gurenn Lagann. I'm curious, why that one over all the others?

Haha funnily enough Toradora was my first dip into the Romance/Slice of Life genres. I wasnt sure if i would even like it, and ended up adoring it :D

Same here!! He was gonna be a third fav, haha. I looove his design (the thing i loved about nanbaka immediately is the designs tbh. everything's so flamboyant and sparkly, it looks completely unique and i looove that. i've also seen the mangaka, and it looks like she really put her all and everything she loves in designing the characters :D)

Yeah, same!! I have the biggest soft spot for the 'dumb with a heart of gold' trope in guy characters, and he's one of my favs of all time in that personality type. He's just perf :D!!!

I've actually seen up to the middle of s2, but it was when I was super sick with a virus and on cold medicine, so I decided to rewatch because I remembered maybe HALF of what I saw :'D Nico would probably have to be my fav, I'm a sucker for pretty boys ahaha. Though I do have a weird liking for Hajime :D What about you?
