| It was definitely better than most recap episodes I've seen. A little exposition mixed in along with greatly increasing the mystery of what kind of conspiracy is going on. |

| The point of a recap episode is really made irrelevant when watching the episodes back to back. So it's hard to critique recap eps when shows like this were meant to be watched once a week on TV. |
| recap wasn't all that bad... second half was far more interesting though it seemed like they just recycled the animation when rei is in the eva and it goes out of control, and just re colored it. though, i want more asuka ending was mysteriously mysterious... i want to know what that lance is for (even though i already know, i want to watch it xD) |

| Since I'm marathoning the series, I feel no reason to watch the recap (though I don't think that it'd be boring.) Second part left some questions to be answered. Well, I'll learn some of them in the next 20 episodes anyway. |

| The recap wasn't too bad. Commander is a strange person, why does he care about Rei so much?? Ikari in the Unit 00 and the last scene were interesting. |

| That scene at the end with Rei in unit 00 walking with the Lance was pretty badass, I think. I guess this means the second half has officially started. |

| I didn't have a HUGE problem with the first half since it's been a while since I've seen the first couple of episodes, but overall it was okay. |
| Trippy episode. Recap could've been worse, it was short and showed some of the best fight scenes from the earlier eps. wtf is with Unit 00, this is like the 5th time it's gone berserk and tried to kill everyone. Also wtf is with Rei's monologue. Maybe they flooded Unit 01 with LSD instead of that orange goo as an experiment. |

| I completely skipped over the recap. I hate them, and I don't need them considering I'm watching all the episodes pretty close together. Maybe I missed something, but I don't understand why they were trying to test the synchronization between the pilots and the other EVA's. |

| Awesome. I'm rewatching the series to possibly change my original rating since I only caught it through a combination of subs, dubs, and a few mangas back in the day. I was worried that I was watching the wrong episode or an extra when it started to recap everything. XD |

| Bah, at least the recap didn't take the entire episode, it was quite concise and it was quite interesting to be reminded of all the Angels the EVAs have fought. Otherwise, mysteries abound with EVA-00 rejecting Shinji and trying to kill Shinji or Rei or Ritsuko and more completely confusing conversations between his dad and the other general. Overall, bring on more. |

| Meh recap, I hate the. The best recap I ever saw would have to be the Gurren Lagann one, it was so awesome. As for the second half of this episode it was good. Wonder what this whole project adam is all about. |

| What in the Davey Jones locker is happening? Are you telling me that NERV is actually doing some hoola-majoolas behind everyone's back? From the looks of this episode, there are few amounts of evidence that they are actually conspiring against something. Longinus act? ADAM project? The fuck were those? Rei, on the other hand, remains mysterious. This episode just made her more suspicious and mysterious. Now I'm starting to think that Rei is some kind of a test product that Commander Ikari performed in the past. I'm assuming Evangelions also have some secrets behind them. The recap was okay. I didn't really mind it at all. One thing I've learned from this episode is that this Anime is dark. Everything and everyone is just suspicious. |
| First half sucked ass, second half was rather interesting. At this point it's clear that Ikari is following his own agenda--as to what end, who knows. ADAM? Lance of Longinus? Something big's getting set up... |

| The recap part didn't bother me. Since this is technically the "second season", I'm assuming there was a large-ish gap from the first season. A recap was most likely needed. The second half was interesting though. I'm starting to get annoyed by the fact that every single test they preform has a major problem happen with it. Why can't we get details and still have a test function normally? |

| Recap started off crappy and quickly turned itself around. Didn't waste time and cut through each Angel in about a minute and twenty seconds each. Second half was a bit Trippy. Unit Zero needs to take some chill pills. |

| Everything besides the recap was OK. We just get more and more mysteries around Rei and I wonder when are we going to see them revealed. Asuka keeps making me lol with her phrases. "What does that mean? He's pervert!" In almost every anime there is a girl like her but she's still funny. Anyway, why is Eva00 trying to kill Rei? I'm thinking on this for some long time now. |

| I really expected "the legendary NGE" to be something GREAT. Better than VOTOMS, still not at the same level as LOGH, but holding it's own against most of crappy and mediocre shows out there. And so far NGE fails at every turn - completely and utterly. I've heard that the second half (last eps especially) are mindfuck. Well, after seeing an attempt in this ep - I'd say that in NGE "mindfuck" means "lots of incoherent, unreasonable, illogical BULLSHIT." I'll buy myself a beer if I'll be right on this. | I can say for sure that despite it being a recap episode, I was still pretty tuned into the episode. The end kind of caught me off guard considering I figured the entirety of the episode would be a recap episode. It also raised some eyebrows for me, and I'm hoping to see some answers in the near future. Looking forward to the next! |
| Rewatching: Best recap episode i've ever seen in my opinion...NGE just does a fantastic job of even making it's filler episodes interesting...and this episode brings up huge plot points for the second half...Who is Rei? What is EVA? WTF is even going on? |

| First part was recap, second was some experiment but it went wrong didn't really make much sense other than the connection when it first happened with Rei, other than that the error was strange oO! |
