For most of my fav, i can't really remeber when, but i remember in Vinland saga when Thorfinn had his breaking moment in season 1 ep 3(?) when he completly raged.
For 86, the saga of tanya the evil and Lycoris recoil there isn't really a specific moment, but while watching eachs first epsiode it became clear to me.

Code Geass after the
plot twist.

For Yofukashi no uta after first episode, blessed night vibes!
For 86 or Ergo Proxy the entire saga, I was hooked from the start so...

@ApfelMyName I think it was episode 4 of Vinland Sage, the rage and look in his eyes was so well animated.

@__Arkham__ Oh, i get that aswell, but this rage moment, in episode 4, just really hooked me. Before it was really good, but for me not a masterpiece.

I would say the end, since I prefer to judge a show by the overall package. However, they had potential by...
Lycoris Recoil - Episode 4, aquarium scene where Takina again asks Chisato about what make her ticks. If you are supposed to be friends, actually asking and learning about one another repeatedly ranks highly to me.
Bang Dream My Go - Episode 9 to the end, characters with consequence and long lasting trauma, in addition everyone doing reasonable things within their character to address it.
Lycoris Recoil Friends are Thieves of Time - Episode 2, they still have their good character interactions
Food Court - Episode 1, could relate to Wada and all her grievances, as well as her attachment to her one and only friend.
Ruri no Houseki - Episode 4 - 6, Ruri's search for sapphire and her visiting it on episode 11 really took one through the research and survey process and revisiting research.

i don't remember the exact moment i fell in love with Yugioh as i was a child. I just remember drawing my own monsters, roleplaying as a duelist and collecting all the games and cards.

I'm a litle weird about my favorites, i generally never know how much i like something until it's over because the great shows generally stick with me after
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

I gave Jojos another try after I was kinda lazy to continue through half of the first part. After that, the more I watched the more I loved it. So I'd say second half of part 1 gave me a strong impression that I'll love Jojos more and more. Since part 4 is my favorite out of animated parts, I'd say I knew it would be my favorite after a couple of episodes. maybe at episode 3 (Okuyasu's brother introduction).
As for Monster, you know when you have a feeling you'll just love the show, I got that for Monster. It's my cup of tea and I binged it very fast so I'd say since the beginning. Personally with Bleach, it ended up being in my top 3 after soul society arc. It was one of the best arcs I've seen, binged the whole thing (including 8 episodes of TYBW p1 while it was still airing) in about a month.

Makeine - when I started hearing ED1 and realize I like Anna and Kaju's antics

A Place Further than the Universe - after my first rewatch of episode 1 and when I started to relate on the traveling aspect

Did you find JoJo too weird the first time you watched it?
Was curious because, I’ve seen Season 1 but I didn’t really enjoy it. That said, all my friends love the show and keep telling me I’m missing out.

Solid points
For me:

Re:Zero: Episode 15 was the one. That final scene with the music, was hauntingly beautiful.

Steins;Gate: When the MC had already shifted through multiple timelines by around episode 7 (if I remember right), and the ending song kicks in that moment hit hard.

HunterxHunter: The introduction of Nen was it for me. I still think it’s one of the best power systems in anime.

I wish I could pinpoint an exact moment in the episode, but episode 30 (Legal Crunchyroll link) was the earliest point when I realized Urusei Yatsura wasn't just gonna be a quick "I'll binge it then ditch it" affair. There's so much in this one episode that cemented this anime as my permanent number 1 favorite.

For me, I realized Gintama was going to be my favorite after I realized how much I enjoyed the cast, story, decent animation at times, and its great longevity, which was bonus. Sure, there are other series in my favorites with better animation like Unlimited Bladeworks, but Gintama was just much more enjoyable.

I was instantly a fan of Fmab as soon as I saw the transmutation that Ed and Al did. The horrifying creature on the screen along with the theme playing in the background is an unforgettable experience. Then also the Nina episode. For your lie in april tho, I don't really remember from where. But I just fell in love with it and because I love the piano, the show felt even better when they actually played the piece. Other favorite like Yu Gi Oh hooked me from ep 1 when exodia was summoned. Since that day I have been a huge Yu Gi Oh fan too.

For One Piece...it took a long time. I kept dropping it and picking it back up because it moved so slow and was so boring at the beginning. Especially around Little Garden Arc, but others as well such as Reverse Mountain, which I didn't like that much either.

Eventually I was like "fuck it" and picked it up one last time, watching it till Drum Island and then Alabasta. By then, it was getting good. Skypiea was even better than Alabasta in at least most ways, but it ultimately became my favorite at around Water 7/Enies' Lobby which is still my favorite arc in the anime to this day. It's one of my favorite anime arcs PERIOD.

That, my friends, is how One Piece became my favorite anime of all time.

Love Live Superstar: Technically, it only solidified itself as my favourite after the beautiful climax in Episode 11, but Episode 1's ending got me hooked. Seeing a depressed Kanon run back to Keke and decide she wants to sing after all was the moment I realized she was someone special, someone who lost hope, but took initiative anyway. It helps that it was similar to the first episode ending of Full Moon o Sagashite, which hit me a lot when I was younger. And that a white feather fell on her backpack when she took that first step, as if the wind marked her as the reluctant nerdy heroine of a classic fantasy story. And the BGM reinforced that fantasy motif. And that her insert song felt like an introvert's anthem.

All these little touches sometimes made me wish I took film class so I could understand what it's like to put this much love and detail into something. I can pay tribute through music composition, but the visual medium is on another level.

When I realized that kochikame is just not any gag comedy, the kind of storytelling make Kochikame my favorite, It’s not just about laughs it’s about how far one can sarcastically mock and make fun of social and diplomatic problems, justice system, political negligence , lack of civic and common sense, social hypocrisy, bureaucracy, capitalism, billionaires absurd wealth, with Ryotsu’s energy.

I pick Eureka Seven for sure. it’s one of those shows that just sticks with you, you know? the world felt so alive and mysterious, like every sky and city had a story behind it. i love how it mixed that big sense of travel and adventure with really personal character growth — renton and eureka actually change, they mess up, they learn, they feel human.

the soundtrack still gives me chills, like half the emotions in that show are carried by the music alone. and all the side characters? they weren’t just background, they mattered — each one added something real to the crew.

it’s rare to find a show that balances love, action, and philosophy without losing its heart. eureka seven did that perfectly. it’s not just a mecha show — it’s a journey, a feeling, like growing up in the middle of a storm and realizing you’re finally flying.
