| The match was alright. their tricks are great, but Im starting to get used to it already. Their teamwork is getting better and better, Kageyama being so nice its almost painful. I want there to be more rivalry. But as Hinata and Kageyama are just the perfect match, I dont really see it. 4/5 for this episode because i need them to show new tricks and im a sucker for angst and rivalry - which is not really there atm. still, overall love this anime. |

| The match is so intense. Dateko really has something to think about now when Karasuno seems to get passed their iron wall. Looking forward to the rest of the match to see how it ends! |

| That had to be one of my favorite episodes ever. Holy cow. That was incredible, I haven't been that hype for anime before like... ever. There's small moments I get but not like that, I had adrenaline pumping through me for the entire second half. And then the end was the amalgamation of everything so beautifully it topped it off. Amazing. The animation of Aone scanning for the ball and reacting like a monster was some of my favorite in Haikyuu. We saw our team learn from their encounters naturally and efficiently. They held off on their freak quicks so that the other team wouldn't get used to them, then used them to surprise them and shatter their moral instead of it going the other way, and then used it so much that Hinata shined so that they could blind them and turn him from their powerhouse into the best decoy ever. The shot where Kageyama told Hinata it was time to start using their freak quicks with a smile, as well as the devilish smile he had when Hinata finally truly accepted his role as the decoy show just how much the two's relationship has advanced! Just look at them now and compare them to the first two episodes! I wish we didn't get a flashback referring to the plan of making Hinata shine so bright the blockers would be blinded. I understood and got so excited from the second Dateko started saying the words "all we have to do is block #10". From that moment everything sank in. I was so ready for Asahi to serve when they were blinded. It's not like the flashback ruined it, this was still one of my favorite episodes yet, but it would have felt so much more satisfying seeing it happen after foreshadowing it vaguely subtly and letting us piece it together. Karasuno sends in three vanguards, Aone's eyebrowless eyes are focused on Hinata, he screams the words "NUMBER 10!!" like a super villain, but then... Asahi dives out from the darkness, completely overshadowed by Hinata literally and figuratively, completely forgotten about, completely assessed as not a threat, and does the Neko special, the pipe. So much development for our team. So much foreshadowing. It was phenomenal. I love that no single team has felt unbeatable yet. They all do give off a sense of earnest kids trying their hardest, no one feels like a super human. |

| Fudge, this was insane! Easily the best episode of the series so far and potentially one of my favourites of all time, yikes still shaking over the awesomeness here! “Best Decoy Ever”, oh hell yeah! Opening the path for the Ace there too, stunning stuff! Not only does it pose a big threat but they also managed to lift the spirit of their ace and the team, man this is just amazing! “#10!!!!!” was the best moment of this episode, too bad he was outfoxed there though. I was hoping the girls and those two veterans would see one of the quicks when they missed the first one and I’m glad that they did lol! Seeing the Crowd mesmerised after the first one was so satisfying and now the whole opposition is just quadruple times more! Big shoutout to Nishinoya too, he’s been a serious angel so far and that bit from last episodes’ cliffhanger takes the throne! But now starts the real game, uh-oh. Expecting Detoko to catch up but then Karasuma somehow just managing to stay a step ahead. But we’ll see how that goes! |

| now that's what i expected, but i got much more. i knew the first "serious" match will be tense but to create this kind of strategy on the start was amazingly done. but, as said, they used all their arsenal, in other words, this match only had started. |
| Loved it. That was an intense episode. I don't have much to say but I really like Aone. I don't see Dateko winning here but I hope he returns again later. I want to see him win something. Also, I never thought I would ever care so much for a fictional Volleyball club. |

| best episode of the series so far. seeing all the sides from the two teams, the fans, the coaches, and the girl's team all be so excited and hyped about this match actually gave me chills which is something i did not expect from this show |

| I've thoughts for years to rewatch Haikyuu and I'm finally doing it. I reached episode 17 after a few days and I honestly think it was worth to rewatch. All the hilarious moments between Hinata. Kageyama and the rest of the characters are too good to miss. The hype moments during the matches and what more still give me chills throughout my spine. The moment where Dateko's defender pushes himself against Hinata who was about to spike, but turned out to be a fake one and that moment is just incredible because the depht that has built up in the earlier episodes with Karasuno's ace. Beautiful. |
