Hello~

How long do you think you will continue watching anime?
Do you think you will see yourself watching anime when you have kids or when you are old enough to be called a grandpa/grandma?

Hope your kids wouldn't inherit your bad taste of anime later though, if you do have any later so good luck :D

Forever. Only reasons I could foresee I would stop is if good series stop being made and I've already watched all the good ones, or if something really bad happens, like stepping on a landmine.

My kids will have a simple choice: Kodomo no Jikan or early to bed without dinner.

For the next 5 years maybe, by then surely anime has also become too pozzed to digest. I guess there would be no point in consuming media by then so I'll just make a drastic turn to something else.

Until I go blind (deaf is fine because I watch
subbed) or die. Even if I burn out on seasonals or the legal streaming industry tanks, I’ve acquired an extensive physical collection over the decades & am actually kind of curious to revisit titles from my youth (someday). No kids, so guess my bad influence is confined to MAL 😂

I think the only thing that could stop me is if it meet someone that has the same level of disapproval of it that my Mother had...

I don’t care how sexy she is - no anime, no contract. I am prepared to die alone.

@Ohayotaku Well, it's not like a mistress forbids anime, but a genuine manslave needs to give her top priority.

what if the manslave is instructed to sit in the CBT contraption, will he comply or not?

I don't think i will stop at any time. I just watch one episode per night, even if i have a busy day with work, spending 24mins doesn't make too much of a difference to my daily routine.

@Commit_Crime It depends on how the contraption affects the manslave in question. Everything he does must ultimately be to the benefit of his mistress, so if she instructs something that significantly harms him, it would decrease his slave performance, so he's allowed to deny the order.
Happy slaves are better slaves, so the mistress needs to keep him happy for her own benefit.

Interesting observations, but question how much is theory & how much is experience. Regardless, I stand by previous comments. Anime is my blue suede shoes. And to quote a great philosopher: “I’d do anything for love (but I won’t do that)”.

Forever, probably. Even if, hypothetically speaking, it ends up culturally subverted and ruined by western influence in the future, there are more than enough older anime out there to last a human lifetime.

For as long as I am alive, I will always love stories, and I will always love animation.

As long as anime offers quality in both, I will be watching.

It is unknowable; impossible to predict. I've had interests that lasted under a year, and some that lasted over a decade. I assume it may be just like TV, I may go years spending my time watching it, then go another few years without it, as a dry spell. I do think I will be watching anime for at least one more year, but it's always possible that in 2025 I'll discover something else to devote my time to and anime may just fall away from me. It's also entirely possible I'll live to 80 and still be actively watching it.

Unfortunately it's just theory so far, too difficult to find a natural-born mistress who genuinely loves to take command, most are just phony actors.

As long as I draw breath from my breasts, I will not stop watching anime.

That is to say, I will continue watching anime for the rest of my life. This is a ridiculous question. "How long do you think you will continue listening to music?" or "how long do you think you will continue eating cooked meals?" Like I'm ever gonna stop...

@Rinrinka Years of consuming lolicon media have equipped me with unparalleled parental skills.

What did you mean by stepping on a landmine? Watching a very bad anime?

No, that's already happened unfortunately.

Me after watching one single episode of Prison School
I was referring to stepping on a literal landmine and losing my sight+hearing+potentially multiple limbs and even my life, or another event of that caliber, so basically as long as I can take a seat in the Cartesian theater and there's worthwhile anime to watch, I will watch it.
Honestly even if I end up like Johnny, I'll probably still be looking for some way to watch anime.
As a matter of fact I see no reason even the severance of my silver cord should put a stop to my anime watching.
