| Anna's cheeky personality is still present in the season finale. Love to see it. Even though this season had tons of drama, this episode had more of the old fashioned fun. Anna and Nukumizu had the most on screen time and that almost looked like a date. Out of all the character pairs, I do enjoy watching them the most and they are the most prominent. Glad to see the Lemon and Chika showing up too. It was a decent show imo, at least for the rom-com genre. |

| Truth be told, I've been scared for this episode the minute it was announced. Making the last episode an "anime original", usually means that the studio in question doesn't have any plans to continue this in the near future, thus make an anime original ending... Should sound easy on paper, no? That's where your wrong. I want to be proven wrong though, so let's see. A four way date between all our MCs sounds good on paper, and was a such a fun watch lmao. Seeing Yanami in a go cart made me laugh for some odd reason. Detective Kayju also being there was nice. Poor soul thinks he in a harem probably... lol. Her friend was fun to watch, with her editing a photo of her and adding it to a lily pad.. should not have made laugh as much as I did. Was nice to catch up on all the couples as well. Poor Yanami got the worst of it, having to see them in person LICKING THAT LOLIPOP THING VERY, VERY, VERY SEXUALLY LMAOOOO. Poor girl was having nightmares the rest of the date lmaoooo. Have to say though, MVPs of the episode had to have been Sayo and Kayju. Both of them just stalking the gang was too funny. Por Kayju though. Should've charged the phone more before heading out lols. And the BEST MOMENT OF THE EPISODE, YANAMI PAYING BACK OVER 10K OF YEN DEBT TO MA BOY. BOUT FUCKING TIME. Such a sweet ending scene, with all three of them just teasing poor Nuku. All three of these knucklehead are in it together. Together as Makeine's/Losing Heroine's. I don't even know what to say... These past twelve weeks have just been something special. We've seen too many winning heroines in romcom's, so it was about damn time the losing ones got their time to shine. And oh boy, did they FUCKING SHINE. Thank you A-1. Thank you everyone who contributed to the making of this absolute PEAK. Not counting Frieren cour 2, this is EASILY MY AOTY. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.  |

| HE AIN’T THE GUY TO ASK SUCH THINGS!!!! Though it really is something when girls… rejected girls at that, talk about how a perfect and romantic date should be and ask someone who literally has an experience in negative, and isn’t even an adult lol. I think these guys needed it though, this breather, after all the drama and whatnot they went through. By the way, THAT couple and the school nurse really need to dial it down( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), as I mean someone is getting mentally exhausted thinking about them.. another L for Anna. She’ll win… someday, hopefully, and will be able to pay her debt as well, again hopefully. ALSO, THAT’S THE WRONG CAMERA ANGLE, MA’AM. THEY WERE NOT KISSING. Series really stayed true to its concepts btw, I mean we actually had too many losing heroines, and we kind of only went through their arcs. Usual teenage problems and censored sex jokes from school nurse aside, if we think about it for a second… did we actually see any romantic development between the guy and these girls? Well, no. That’s why this season only felt like the start, I mean the guy is only helping out at this point, playing THAT kinda guy who girls make best friends out of. So yeah, I’d need more of that in the coming seasons, because I mean in the end that’s the goal. Still when all is said and done, A-1 did great. Enjoyable series overall. Need season 2 now! |

| MakeIne's finale episode of an anime-original ending, courtesy of its author Takibi Amamori. Anna now thinks she's cute thanks to Nukumizu? And the fact that she needs to find a boyfriend, he is not her choice absolutely, but she sure knows how to backmail him lols. Anna's Fake-a-Boyfriend project that has Nukumizu convene an emergency meeting for the Literature Club to make a grown-up date. But the matter of how to do that...is thwarted by Shikiya almost making a Kill Bill scene out of Nukumizu with her front ribbons removed to show her cleavage lols. Even Konuki-sensei got into the fun by providing Nukumizu tickets to Non Hoi amusement Park, though this isn't the grown-up date that Anna expected, even with her 10k yen allowance in toll for emitting her "rich boyfriend" energy. Still, this "date" being research for the Literature Club, with the girls trying out various rides with Kaju clearly stalking her brother alongside Asami who's clearly dragged together with. Lemon's idea of a museum date, it's good to add to the fake photo category. Nukumizu's idea of a foodie date is great (especially for the glutton), but the club having to witness Sosuke and Karen licking the choco banana like they're having sex, she sure got turned off quite badly. The few pictures thereafter provde different context, but the PTSD within Anna thinking of Karen, damn this girl sure gets rejected both physically and mentally. Welp, with Kaju not being able to access her brother's phone since his battery is dead, taking the gondola and trying to talk some sense to Anna on getting a boyfriend that should not be forced, a lot of things sure can happen, like Konuki-sensei thinking that both Anna and Nukumizu had a potential couple vibe going from where she's spying. Too bad for Anna, she still ends up having to owe Nukumizu, and even more that the both of them get interrogated by Lemon and Chika of their secret rendezvous in the gondola. Anime of the Season material, there's no disputing of MakeIne being best rom-com of the season as well. Masterpiece show from start to finish, it's flawless. |

| Fair enough they nailed the anime original ending. Had my concerns initially but when I thought about it, it made no sense to start the next volume and then just end after one episode so an anime original episode to wrap things up this season was perfect and they chose the perfect story to tell in it. Anna coming up with all this lore for a fake boyfriend to post online just killed me, she’s actually the greatest troll ever. I love how we got everyone coming together in this final episode just being absolutely ridiculous and giving us that energy we’ve come to know and love from Makeine. A-1 didn’t need to snap on Shikiya zombie animation or the nurse scenes 😂 this really felt like an OVA hour long episode quality wise The zoo/amusement park trip was so fun. Anna whipping out the 10,000 yen bill and everyone acting like she’s bill gates is so funny. Lemon and Komari really share one brain cell. What the hell were Sousuke and Karen doing in that park tho. I shouldn’t have watched this ep with my mom lmao Kaju best imouto this year! Everyone hyping Yuki because of the goonbait shit but Kaju was adorable and I’ll die bout her. Thinking the was an old lady because Nukumizu getting close to other people was hilarious. And that ferris wheel trip was the perfect end to the season. Anna and Nukumizu are really soulmates. Their banter and how she teases him is so good. I hope it stays platonic because honestly you can have a best friend that’s a girl, but knowing LNs/animanga I’m sure they’ll go the romance route at some point. Still, had so much fun with this. No doubt anime of the season, I’m gonna miss this entire cast so much! Thank you A-1 for feeding us with this and Nier. Oh yea and keep that freaky ass nurse away from students lmao |

| I have not read the light novel so i can't comment on what's to come in the future, but i must say as from what we got till now, i think they have wrapped things really nicely already last week with all the girls, so this anime original episode felt like a nice bonus i guess. But other than that the overall series was very good, this is the type of rom-com stuff that i can enjoy and recommend. The character work with the "loser" heroines and especially with Nukumizu-kun the main guy was stellar, yes if anything this show did better than all the other ones, it was the characters. |

| This was a very fun ride, the right level of self awareness for the more annoying tropes of romcoms but also of sincerity for the genre, this episode in particular felt like a good encapsulation of that on top of all the ship teasy stuff with Anna and Nukumzu which hands down were the highlight of the show, they had such consistently great interaction and they really strike a great balance of making it a bit ambiguous at times whether the show is even heading in a romantic direction with them, it obviously is but the fact there even is any ambiguity at all about whether the main girl constantly in every story might not go that direction is a tall order. |

| The best anime of the Summer 2024 season comes to an end. No sequel announcement is very sad, but I just hope they will continue this anime because after this the story just keeps getting better and better. Anna struggles to find a way to prove that she has a boyfriend and is not single, it seems like Anna and Nukkun didn't think that the two of them could just pretend to be dating behind the scenes, but without them realizing they are also on a date together, it's so cute. Anna got a lot of very pretty and cute frames in this episode. Kaju got a lot of screentime in this episode, I am very happy especially since inj is the last episode for this season and I don't know when this anime will get a continuation. Kaju remains my favorite character for this anime with a lot of Kaju helping a lot for Nukkun, Kaju is the best Imouto of the decade. i'll miss her for a long long time. All the characters entered this episode for the last time this season, for my best heroine it's still Chika with how incredible her arc is and how she handles her romantic relationships I really like her character. This is definitely the anime of the season for me, especially for this amazing animation even for a romcom anime to have amazing animation and art like this even recognized by Makoto Shinkai, I will miss this anime a lot and for a while maybe I will reread the light novel. Thank you A1-Pictures for making another very entertaining romcom anime to watch every week, eagerly waiting for what else A1-Pictures will adapt for the next romcom anime.  |

| What better way to end the season than a Anna focused theme park date episode with her fake boyfriend and the others tagging along. The background she kept caming up with were hilarious. I just knew Kaju would tail him and wait lol she has access to his smartphone and kept taking secret photos. Even on her fake date she ran into Sousuke and 8K who were doing very wholesome stuff. But it was actually Sayo chan sensei setting them up for the amusement. Chihaya's sharp instinct atleast prevented them from joining in. Found it hilarious how even in her daydream Anna got homewrecked. Makes me think if Nukumizu ends up dating her then Lemon or Komari might homewreck her which would be hilarious. Also idk why but I've come to really like the way Komari says shine/die. Was a nice way to wrap up the season with an anime original episode. Enjoyed watching this as it was quite unique and had some of the most fun character interactions in recent times. Had my doubts at first but came to like it and a pretty solid anime overall. Hoping for a new season soon but I get the feeling we'll get a movie instead following recent trend. |

| the fact that i enjoyed the show so much despite every female being a testicular torsion levels of annoying surprises me production was off the charts and every single VA is just magnificent, i will be waiting for S2 also, this was supposed to the original episode right? is it just slightly different from the LN at this point or just completely new? EDIT: correction, not every female is a pain, Kaju and Lemon's grandma are great, the rest could dissapear for all i care |

| Fantastic finale, they really nailed it and I loved that all the characters got a moment to shine, especially Kaju. Konuki-sensei definitely got those tickets because she’s got the club room bugged! 😆 I hope we get a second season, but I hope they get the same crew back to animate it. I’ve been burned a bit lately with shows having a totally different look when the second season rolls around. I still don’t get why the character designs were so off in episode 3. It’s like that one episode was done by a different team. It’s a shame only the first chapter of the LN has had an official release, I’ve already read that and it ends around episode 4 IIRC. Hopefully the subsequent chapters won’t take too long to arrive. |
| A decent and amusing Anna-centric last episode, not my favorite of the series but still a good one. The series as a whole was a great watch: inventive and innovative, very funny at times, very sweet and thoughtful at others, a lot of interesting and amusing characters, good production values, good and convincing voice acting. The only negative thing I can think of about the show is that I found a couple of the episodes in the second half of the series to be a little dull and uninspired maybe. Overall, Makeine easily ends up as one of my favorite shows this season, I'll rewatch it for sure and I'll cross my fingers hoping for a second season very soon with those lovable fools :) |
| The show pointing out the impracticality of its own uniform design having four ribbons for some reason in the finale earned it my respect lmao. Amusing how of the few lines Komari got, most of them were just "Drop dead!" |

| Started watching cause I was anticipating getting rejected and thought the show would be cathartic. It ended up being my favorite show of the season and maybe favorite show of the year (prolly not but I do really like the show). Shame there prolly wouldn't be a season two for it tho. |

| A trip to the amusement park leads to a lot of fun, but maybe not for Anna... Although this finale episode was an anime original one, and technically a "filler", it was still a ton of fun as usual. I don't really understand Anna's obsession with having a boyfriend, but I guess that's how some people want to live. It'll definitely lead to a lot of stress-eating that's for sure. It showcased basically all the characters to wrap things up, and was better than I expected to be honest. Overall, I feel that this may become the next romance classic, because it breaks the mold of romance anime in such an unconventional way, by embracing the tropes of romances and in ways, making fun of them. The characters were very realistically portrayed for their age, making mistakes along the way in communicating effectively, and to me, it really reflected some experiences in high school as well. The animation was great, and you could tell that the staff were passionate about their work and had a ton of fun making it. I hope that this finale doesn't just serve as an anime original ending, and that we will get more of this in the future. |
