| School festival, funny how restless Rin and Renzou ended up coming to school. Bon too. Izumo never seemed like the type to go to these type of events so her attitude was expected. Interesting the episode decided to also pair up Rin and Shimei. I think this episode was sweet with a break from the usual supernatural battles. Shimei was especially happy to share a memory with Rin and Yukio. I wish Izumo could've got the same treatment but it's her own attitude that kinda did this. The cliffhanger with Nemu though...yikes. |

| I totally forgot this place is a 'school,' which means they can have festivals too. The bustling True Cross Academy prepares for the school festival. Renzou and Rin, eager to find partners for the music festival and dance party, face continuous rejections. Undeterred, Rin attempts to invite Izumo, but is gracefully declined due to the imminent annual Exorcist Certification Exam. Yet, Shiemi, now their classmate after passing the school's transfer exam, comes before a thoroughly disheartened Renzou and Rin. I totally get where you're coming from with Shiemi. I mean, how could she not see the school admin doing his job and helping out with the festival? It was kind of expected, right? But hey, no hard feelings. I do like Shiemi for her abilities, even with her occasional clumsiness, but this situation is just a downer. Yukio likes her, and she likes him back – that's a bit of a bummer for me. I'm all in for Rin x Shiemi. If you don't like that, tough luck – they're bound to figure out their feelings sooner or later. Maybe not an "I love you" right away, but definitely in the future. I don't think they can dance around this forever. Shiemi will have to make a choice eventually. A little selfish part of me isn't rooting for her to end up with Rin, but hey, my opinion doesn't carry much weight. Sigh. Regardless of who Rin ends up with, all I want is for him to be happy. Loved those vibrant colors during the dance scene. Wish the show could always look that pretty. Oh, and it seems like the studio finally got over their dislike for the last arc – they're adapting the manga now. Takara's finally making his move with his plan. And it looks like we're in for an arc that's all about Izumo. |

| So yeah, they skipped 2 manga arcs: The Terror of the Kraken arc, which is really short (3 chapters), but I really enjoyed it. And the Academy Seven Wonders arc, bits and pieces of which we saw throughout the past 2 episodes. It's 12 chapters long. I would've liked to see them fully adapted, but oh well, they aren't the main focus of this season. It did leave a bad impression though. Oh, and I'm anime only, I just read the manga along with the anime. Really vibing with this OP Oh, so they're finally focusing on the puppet guy! I would've liked to see them fully adapted, but oh well, they aren't the main focus of this season. It did leave a bad impression though.
Oh, and I'm anime only, I just read the manga along with the anime.

| @Embient Well yes, but actually no, the romance in general is still a trainwreck in the manga with not much progress (only angs drama lol). :/ (I ship Rin more with Izumo but she kinda got sidelined after her grand arc...so gotta enjoy her glory while I can, lmao) |
| Poor Rin. First he gets friend zoned during the Kyoto arc and now this. Glad that Noriko planted that thought in Shiemi's head though. Izumo's advice is going to come in handy later on. Looks like Shiemi is at least looking into that hidden side of people already. Izumo's time to shine is coming up soon 🦊. On another note, I missed hearing Shima speak in his Kansai dialect. So much fun to hear. |

| Miwa FTW! I knew he was being suspiciously cool and nonchalant about the dance. I must say I am happy that they made Rin taller and less raggedy looking. He and Yukio look like twins now. Before they didn't even look related. |
| Man, I'm still having trouble getting used to this studio's take on the art style. It probably doesn't help that I've recently read some manga chapters and have those to compare/contrast. |

| Aw glad Rin was able to ask out Shiemi in the end. Iirc I didn't really like Shiemi in the previous seasons - I can't remember why - but despite how stupidly dense she was here, I like her in this season so far. I feel bad for Izumo though, everyone else is having fun while she has to talk to this sketchy kid. I enjoyed the episode overall, however the character designs bothered me more than ever....especially when the three - Rin, Shiemi, and Yukio - were dancing together, why do the characters' faces look especially weird when they're laughing Dx |

While the adults (and Yukio) are in the midst of "let's find the Illuminati mole" all the kids are concerned about is whether they have a date for the dance. The popular Yukio is beating them off with a stick, Ryuuji has some admirers and both Rin and Renzou keep getting rejected!! Rin is about to ask Shiemi (who just transferred in) when she mentions she's going to ask Yukio, only to be gently let down with the "I'm on the committee and will have no time" excuse. Oh wow. I thought Shiemi was seriously into Rin, can she be as dense as to not realize how he's going to feel? Why am I invested in the teen drama instead of the "find the mole" plot line?? Is it because at that age, the dance is a BIG deal? |

| I wasn't expecting an episode like this to be the 3rd one, but it was really cute and wholesome. At least Shiemi finally decided in one of the brothers, but this looks more like a trio lmao |
