This episode finale hit the emotional feels. Tears were shed and feelings were shattered.

Not going to lie, I like the creative transition between the more peaceful scenes and the chaotic at various segments in this episode. This kinda feels like a bittersweet finale. Even though their zombie problems aren't over, they're still alive and together.

To save his dad, Akira has to turn into a zombie. What do you think he'll decide?

It just doesn't seem real because, honestly, if anyone else were in the villagers' or the main character's shoes, they'd be boiling with rage. If I found myself in the main character's situation, I might even go as far as torturing that guy for a day before putting an end to him. As soon as his leg got scratched, I'd cut it off to prevent him from turning into a zombie and maybe mess with him a bit to let out my frustration.

Looking at the characters, he's probably the one least likely to be a terrible person. Before all this, his only flaw was losing the ability to connect with people as he grew up and becoming envious of those who had what he lost.

Now, that husband blaming his wife for the relationship going south, even though he stopped caring long ago, is just worse. It's a close relationship, and he's treating it the same way the Neet treats strangers, but even worse. Given his backstory, I really can't see him reflecting on his actions with guilt, especially only after getting a good beating. But, okay.

In the end, both Akira and evil Akira got what they wanted. Evil Akira found a friend, and Akira managed to repay not just his dad and mom but the entire village. Even Kencho got a nod from someone other than Akira, acknowledging him as a comedian.

Now we're on a mission to find a cure across Japan!

I gotta say, what's holding this back from being a solid 10 is how the production kinda killed the hype for me. Still, this show is hands down one of the best to come out in 2023. Props to BUGFILMS (mostly).

For nakama-stans in this medium, this will go down as a win for the ages, xD. Props to Tendou for not just brushing that aside, though, I suppose. It'd be very normal to get enraged and whatnot over his actions, but it wasn't meant to be. Coming up with the idea of make-up and pretending, it could have gone either way, really. Seems nice and all since it worked out but the narrative would've been totally different had it not. Nevertheless, all's well that ends well.

We got treated to some nice father-son bonding scenes. Full support to go out there and find a cure to the "virus", supportive as heck, aren't we? Didn’t catch whatever his father’s condition was but it’s safe to assume that it wasn’t as serious as Episode 9’s cliffhanger was.

Couldn't really catch it during the live tv airing, but the lists didn't go up to 100, right? I saw 78 last. Exploring Hokkaido is bound to take quality time so hopefully it'll prove to be enough time to get around to doing that firstly and then finishing off with the truly heroic move. Ending off on a slightly ambigious note, this feels fitting for the series. I was wondering if they were going to force some kind of solution in these 3 episodes, but thankfully not. As viewers, all we can do is hope that the journey is ultimately sufficient for the 100-wish fulfillment.

It was definitely a fun journey and a plus to have it top off Christmas. Going to miss the energy from this show, and the Op! Ah, on a similar note, Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!

Debating between a 7 or an 8, but I'll stick with a 7 for the time being.

Not gonna lie. This finale is worth waiting and watching.

Yes, there were some scenes that appeared from the manga that never appeared in the anime and some were cut. But, still glad that it sticks through the manga.

Akira and his friends are on a new journey to find a cure to save the human race, and I liked it.

It's nice to see the supporting characters that appeared in previous episodes are still alive (especially the couple that Akira first met, even schoolgirl from the aquarium became braver and helping out, Gonzou's former men also changed)

This anime has officially became my favorite and most watchable, despite the delays, airing issues and the long hiatus. I really loved it! Hopefully they can make a second season. (since the manga became popular.)

I'm giving Zom 100 Bucket List of the Dead an "A".

Final rating: 10/10

The last few episodes released today to close the season didn't do much for me, including this predictable finale here. Never really enjoyed this arc in the manga and that didn't change much in the anime. The premiere was really good but the anime just became less enjoyable as the series progressed, humor became a bit more annoying, and the various production issues present throughout the series killed any remaining momentum present from those beginning episodes when the series had something fresh going for it. What had a lot of promise with its premise just became another forgettable anime towards the end.

After months of delays, it has finally been released again.

...

The most important thing is that everyone is safe. The four of them are still there. Looks like they will be traveling again. Whatever it is, hopefully they find a vaccine and end the zombie apocalypse.

This is really great, I can't say more than that. This is the first time I've watched a zombie anime as cool as this. Will this journey continue? I'm looking forward to it.

Solid finale. They clearly introduced some characters that most likely appear later in the story but seeing as how production on this was atrocious I doubt we will see a season 2 anytime at all from this Studio.

Nice finale, glad to see all of them managed to survive and are back at the village. Hope their rebuilding goes well but for our mcs it's adventure once again. Btw happy to see that couple alive from back then in the ending.

Took a while for it to finish cause of the delays but still enjoyed watching the earlier manga chapters animated nonetheless. They adapted it really well.

Because of whatever reason I find this "turn everyone into zombie arc" extremely retarded. Yeah, a huge zombie wave in a village, but why making it like that?

That's a really good end for Higurashi imo. This will probably be an unpopular opinion. I actually felt pity for him.
BRO WHAT THE HELL I THOUGHT IT WAS CANCER
痔 (ji) - "hemorrhoids". New word learned today lol. I was really thinking that Akira's dad would die at the end, especially with that flower scene at 17:54.
It's sooo cool to see everyone we've seen so far in the ED! Even that one couple from way back (episode 2 I think?)! Was this in the manga?
Amazing finale!

9/10
This was really damn good. Some moments made me really emotional, while others were goofy af. But I enjoyed all of it. The art and animation were stunning throughout too!
The hype was killed because of the delays unfortunately, but I don't mind that too much.

Very good season finale, closes with the plot and wtf how does Akira's father have hemorrhoids?
I thought he would have cancer or something, bruh.

The fact that he now has the goal of "saving the world" is very "XD" how do you plan to do it? ._.

I really don't know if there would ever be a second season, this is due to the fact that the production was shit, although hey, the last thing that dies is hope.

Zom 100 would have been a milestone in anime history, but several broadcast delays disconnect audience from fully enjoying the show. I'm wondering if we'll still see a delay like this in 2024. The truth is that we're still in a pandemic era, with no way to exit, no matter how hard people want to live an "old normal" life.

So as it turns out dipshit NEET actually was an introvert who in his jealousy turned out like this? I don't know man, seems like a drastic change to me.

Anyways, this was a really good anime that would have probably been better had it come out with proper management. I can't stress enough how ironic the real life situation was considering the subject matter and I can understand how many people got put off by it. Slowly we're getting more and more delays in anime as animators are not treated as they deserve to be. Fix up your shit Japan.

About the show itself, this really was about dreams, about wishes, about things to do before kicking the bucket. Everyone has them and they go about them in different ways but sometimes along the way they deviate for some reason or another. Here we are able to see different perspectives about this and delve into what's probably the most positive zombie apocalypse depiction I've witnessed so far in media.

Well, at the very least what was adapted is in really high quality animation, soundtrack and the like. If we ever get a season 2 there are lessons to be learned but not in these departments.

Meh.

As expected, the finale was bound to be a complete disappointment.

More talk no jutsu scenes in the middle of a zombie infestation, and it's ridiculous that the protags pay 100% attention to such long flashbacks to make a comeback of "your wrong." If we the audience truly needed to know that all these edgelords had a sad sob story of them digging up their own graves, why the flashbacks didn't happen earlier before all the chaos broke lose in the village? It's such a crappy shonen trope to stall everything to infodump the audience in the last minute.

There's also Akira's last minute plan. Did he really have that much time for the girls to give that amount of detail on his makeup on such a short lapse? Top of it all, to make Higurashi that stupid to buy such a cheap charade. I also wonder who the heck was moving the bulldozer if fatty guy chased after Shizuka, did Higurashi climb down from the blade only to reposition it near the huts and then climbed up again to act like a cringe chunny edgelord? And yet again, the protags are so pure they won't directly beat the aggresors, but will let the horde to the dirty job (except fatty, but it's also quite hard to believe that old folks had the strength to beat him up with their tools and fists).

Kencho's cringe naked comedic routines will never be funny, just like the overall comedy of the show (good lord, making Akira's dad illness a hemorrhoid case was max cringe).

The only saving grace of this show was the art and top tier animation in the early episodes. Other than that it's the most forgettable action/comedy of recent years. Thank god we're getting Konosuba S3 next year.

This one gets a 5/10 from me.

This was a great finale, I didn’t think they’d be able to make me feel for Higurashi but at the same time I had a feeling they would lol, he was definitely the villain you could sympathize with the most of him and his gang, I kinda have the same thoughts as Akira on that I can’t hate him, but I also agree with the other thing that was said about him, being that he was a dumbass lol. And at the same time it’s hard to overlook unleashing the hoard on the village, but if I’m not mistaken everyone ended up being saved so I guess it wasn’t so bad, that really surprised me too after the size of that hoard.

And I’m ngl, the reveal that Akira’s dad wasn’t infected by zombies, but hemorrhoids really surprised me as well lol, they really got me with that one, good for Akira and his family that it wasn’t the case. And now the gang heads to Hokkaido, but not before some sightseeing first which we saw as the OP played at the end, as well as some scenes of some of the characters we’ve met along the way which I really liked.

And now we can finally close the book on this great zombie anime, very happy to finally see it end after all this time on Christmas this year. It was very fun anime, a unique spin on a zombie apocalypse with some very memorable characters, hard to forget Beatrix and her magnum chest lol. That being said tho, the delays for this show really sucked, it was a show that had so much attention and hype, but the delays pretty much killed it. I’ll say tho, I personally never lost interest in this show, me and my buddy I watched this with were patiently waiting for these last three episodes and now that we finally have them, we can call this a great show. I just hope if BUG FILMS makes another anime in the future that they learn from their mistakes with this show and not only deliver a quality product, but deliver it in a good timely manner.

And lastly, I can’t end this review without mentioning the banger OP and ED, we had the OP with visuals that kept progressively getting better until it was finally perfected with that great KANA-BOON song, and the lighthearted ED after the (sometimes) intense episodes with the nostalgic visuals and classic aspect ratio, a great combo for sure. This is one I’d love to see get a Season 2, but once again I hope it has a better release schedule if it ever does.

Loved everything about this show, the Opening song, ending song, the story, characters, even the villains. And the way they disguised the blood as multiple colors didn't bother me at all, in fact i kinda liked it, made the anime much more enjoyable for me honestly.
It also made me really happy to see snippets of other crews helping people and surviving with a smile. I really hope there's another season, spinoff, or something.

I gotta say the last episode was surprisingly emotional with Higurashi dying, I genuinely assumed we’d see him again in the future but I guess not.

I was gonna give this a 7 but upped my score to 8, the final 3 episodes reminded me of how much I enjoyed this show, each character is fun and quirky and they all have a great dynamic together, my favourite character was definitely Bea.

the show’s animation is gorgeous the studio which animated this done a great job.

Unlike most shows I’ve only been spoiled on one part of the manga, while it was a pretty big point I wasn’t particularly surprised cause I assumed it would happen anyways but I’m glad I haven’t been spoiled on anything else.

This show needs a second season I’d love to see more.

show peaked at episode 1 though unfortunately, was a 9/10 episode but keeps falling off after that with terrible humor but at least the visuals were good all the way through. i'll give it a 7 overall, but would've been less than a 6 if ep 1 wasn't as good as it was.

After 3 months delay at least we could see the last 3 episodes all together. This show was so good and full of food for thought, which is even greater given it's the first anime of its studio.

Any news on a second season of this, guys? In spite of the delay of the last three episodes, this series was REALLY good. I hope to see more of it.

Wow they packed a lot into this episode but it was well paced. Hemmorhoids lmao ouch but at least it's not something more serious. Loved this show.
