| Ai is adorable in this imo and they picked a solid VA to protray her voice along with her personality in this. First episode takes place mostly at school and in the classroom, most noticably between her and Kaede. Oh and obviously, there's the issue with Ai's sight so it leads to some awkward moments between the two. I think it's adorable though and the anime is self conscious about it. Cute start. |

| THE GOAT OF ANIME STUDIOS, GoHands HAS FINALLY RETURNED! The first of 2 shows that the infamous studio is producing this season, and mangaka Koume Fujichika's series is one manga that I have wanted to read for quite a long time, as a rom-com fanatic. Masahiro Itou (Bokutachi no Remake's Kyouya Hashiba) as Komura, and Shion Wakayama (Lycoris Recoil's Takina Inoue) as Mie, couldn't have found a W ship this early in the season. The obsession of Kaede Komura having a crush on his classmate of Ai Mie, the girl that always wears her glasses, she's quite the short, statured beauty of a pretty girl sitting next to him after the initial seating arrangement change. But when Mie forgets her glasses, she looks absent-minded at times, though she really has to squint THIS hard. And while that's the gimmick of the manga-turned-anime series, it's that Kaede also finds her cute and pretty as such. Even sharing a textbook is dangerous for his heart, because Mie has no sense of depth of perception on how close she is to him or the things that she needs to do. Fearing the worst of his heart being distracted by Mie's pretty eyes, Komura prepares to go back home, but he finds Mie on the ground, wearing his shoes instead of hers. Mie's friends initially give the help, but she's OK on her own, though it's not a coincidence that his shoes look exactly the same as hers. Mie's pair though, has a frog sitting on it, she's OK with it but hates the slimy stuff, so Komura helps it get away scot-free, though she eventually saw it coming. But her shoelaces come untied, and Komura has to help her in that regard as well, which she inches close to him so that she won't forget his face...though it's the same as before. Thank God it's a good thing that Mie stays near school. Another day, and Mie forgot her glasses again, though this time it's legit that she broke them. It's worrying because they have gym class playing dodgeball, and Komura thinking that he cursed her, but he ended up being her protector, what a save. The usual class, and Mie looks like she's sleeping from afar...she's ACTUALLY sleeping, and Komura has to save her from their teacher somehow, which he comes up with the excuse that she needs to see very close to the textbook. When Mie awakens, she mistook Komura for her dad, finding her glasses, and then going back for more sleep...on his shoulder this time. What a wholesome moment that their teacher wouldn't allow, what a shame. The blushing, heart-throbbing boy, is finally seen by the pretty girl wearing her contacts. Say what you will about GoHands, but the studio sure as damn IS COOKING to a BIG W this Summer! Definitely a top contender THIS early in the season. |

| And one of my most anticipated anime of the season is finally here! I wanted to read the manga for some time, but then saw the anime announcement and decided to wait for it. And ooohhh boy right off the bat, those angles. Trippy. There are definitely imperfections, but it's really unique, I'm liking it. I've heard many bad things about the studio making this so I'll keep my expectations for the visuals on the lower side for now. Damn that's a lot of h a i r And there's a whole galaxy in her eyes This was a really fun first episode, I smiled a lot while watching. Looking forward to more! Btw I beleive Mie's name comes from θ¦γγ (mieru) - to be seen; to be visible; to be in sight. |

| Lowkey Mirai from Kyoukai no Kanata xD Although there's some really odd camera movement along with CGI , I overall like how cinematic this feels. The character acting is alright. Nice start. Oh I didn't see that this was from Gohands. Explains a bit lel. Definitely a step up from some of their abominations. |

| Good to have GoHands back with another anime. Would have loved to see them make more Seitokai Yakuindomo but liked what they are doing now too. Loved the visuals and coloring. GoHands has a unique way of doing these and I like it. Lots of camera movements at the start of the show which felt a bit unnecessary. Mie and Komura's interactions were quite amusing. Enjoyed watching the two. Mie's really cute and like her voice, it's Takina. This should be a fun watch. |

| cute story with cute characters that aren't completely unbearable, but the animation is wacky. all the funky camera angles gives me a headache. the art style itself is cute but the animation is just not it. |

| i hate goHands so much, ugh but yeah it was just a okay. pretty weird animation and the visuals are generally weird too. the anime looks colorless and i don't really think that this style suits suki nako ga. |
| Excellent animation from the get go. Though daydreaming on the go really is dangerous. Though unfortunate for her the missing glasses sure provided an excellent opportunity to improve bonds. Its cute that Mie actually looks like a cat when she sleeps. They really maximised on the screen time by including it mid ep though. Overall a pretty fun opening ep that did well to showcase just how innocent Mie can get without her glasses and her innate talent for making guys fall for her. |

| Romcom and RTX graphic, what a combination. I think I'll get used to it since I like the couple and their interaction. I just hope they don't rotate the camera too much for later episodes. |

| This is so adorable! I am happy to see this manga finally animated and the voice actors chosen are just perfect. I really like the art style they used as the style of the first chapters of the manga were not as refined as it is in the later chapters (I'll include a pic below). And the animation, lighting and cinematography is just engaging. I just hope they can keep this up. They'll probably cover a lot of chapters of the manga in these 12 episodes; the early chapters of the manga only had of 4-6 pages. This might just be the RomCom of Summer 2023  |
| Okay hold up lol are you telling me she can't see the text book that's right in front of her face, to the point where she can't even tell two books apart? Is her eyesight seriously that bad? Idk it feels a bit off. I mean she's right up against the book lol I think I like the animation and style so far, though it does have it's moments where it just looks really off. Same goes with Mie's hair. It is a bit weird at times but whatever, it's not that bad really Not sure if I'll watch this all the way through but I think this is an alright start |

| The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses seems like a run-of-the-mill, school-based anime romcom with an astronomical animation budget. The story is cute but if this first episode is anything to go by, it’s not anything special. I get the feeling that this show is going to lean heavily into the animation aspects to bolster what it lacks in substance or originality. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a BAD anime so far, and I would recommend checking it out as it does have prodigious potential to be good, but I would temper my expectations greatly going into this one. |

| Personally the animation and art of this show are amazing and very new and original TO ME. If you got experience with this style before that’s good for you. Just gorgeous art that really helps take what’s a somewhat generic middle school crush story to the next level. Almost has a Takagi-San vibe between the MC and Mie. Solid introductory episode to how they met and how bad her vision is without those glasses lol. Wonder how they’ll play into that gimmick over the season. Only complaint I got is how wimpy and annoying the MC is. I get it’s middle school but cmon man all that squealing and squirming every time Mie gets within 20 feet of you gotta stop. Idk any boy who I went to school with who was doing that. |
