| Ah yes, Megumin has that personality with pride and isn't backing off from anyone. I have to admit, she took this on her terms with no fear. The explosiveness aside, glad to see Yunyun still getting spotlight. From this season, she really had a lot to show in personality, talent, and humor. Overall, a very amusing finale and season. Looking forward to season 3! |

| With the demon Host requiring Chomusuke, Yunyun is not prepared to give it to him, and without the arch priest, Megumin has to do it on her own...dragging Yunyun with her because they are friends, and that fact is undeniable. With funds that Megumin procured somehow with the help of Chomusuke, they stock up on magic in poitions and scrolls to ensure that Host is distracted before he could get his hands on Chomusuke, along with the stuffed black cat. And while forgetting to release her daily explosion magic, Yunyun surprises her wth a visit telling of her exploits and her taking on the rein of defeating Host with Rex's party. At the behest of being friends, Yunyun puts Megumin to sleep, and the next day, Megumin races off to find Yunyun and Rex's party, which Cecily has healed them from their injuries before. And with the healing magic of Aqua, Megumin is off to find Yunyun. Well, obviously the plan failed, and this fuels Host's wrath for imminent destruction. After a long drought, Host proposes to a counter for a ceasefire, but Yunyun herself is stupid enough to accept the offers for the magic potions, which is where the former is stuck in her Paralyze magic, Megumin comes to her aid, exposing her for the chuuni that she is, then releasing her explosion magic on Host, the latter having lamented of a life not well lived and not at his max power when facing her. With matters settled, Cecily is off to her cult-like church takeovers in Arcanretia, and Yunyun is more of the same, trying her best to be the at the same Crimson Demon chuuni level that she is. And by all the means, after her own journey to learn advanced magic, the two will come back and battle off to see how much they've learned. With the rival of sight, Megumin is on her own, and wants to be recruited by a party, which of a notice, encounters both Kazuma and Aqua, marking the very start of the KonoSuba series. A rather nice prequel story for Megumin, what a pleasant surprise while we wait for Season 3 coming soon. |

| That must have been so embarrassing for Yunyun lol but she's so cute. Megumin took care off the demon, as usual the explosion magic looked so pretty. With Yunyun declaring to defeat her someday this prequel comes to an end. Ending right when Megumin met Aqua and Kazuma. Pretty nice prequel story for Megumin. Liked many of the characters featured in this story. Glad to have more Yunyun and hope we get to see Arnes and Cecily in the main storyline someday. |

| It was fine. The main series is much better. Maybe if I was a bigger Megumin fan I would have enjoyed it more. 6/10 |

| That was a great finale, Megumin really is my favorite character in this series. Seeing Kazuma and Aqua in the end there made me really happy, can't wait for season 3 now |

| 10k in cash is some serious money. The rise of the ecat strategy huh. While it has been a bumpy ride Megumin has managed to mature quite a bit since leaving the village. YunYun's strats were well thought out though though unfortunately she's far too gullible. Against a static opponent that was an easy win. YunYun's little speech though was damm amusing. Nice to finally meet Aqua and Kazuma in the flesh. Overall a pretty chill ep to end the series with featured one last explosion and adorable YunYun and Megumin moments. |

| So it comes full circle with Megumin meeting her party, honestly a great place to end it since Season 3 is coming somewhat soon, and it was also nice to actually seeing Kazuma and Aqua since they’ve been teased for the last few episodes. And thankfully Host was defeated, Yunyun nearly had him but she done goofed with the paralyze spell, and Megumin had to come save her ass while embarrassing her at the same time which was the last hilarious bit of the show lol. But with that we’ve reached the end of this Megumin spin-off anime, I really enjoyed it overall. It wasn’t quite as comedy focused as Konosuba but it still had some great bits throughout and learning about Megumin’s origins was really cool. I will say tho, I do wish the crimson demon village stuff didn’t end so soon, I thought it was the most interesting part of the show but it didn’t last that long, tho I did enjoy the arcs that followed as well, Zesta was one of the funniest parts of the show lol. And getting more of Megumin and Yunyun’s relationship was really fun, it was a good source of comedy and wholesomeness. And it’s also great that studio Drive has proved they can handle the series, tho I’ve heard it’s mostly the same staff as before, the sentiment still stands lol. The OP and ED were also very good ones, the ED even carried the torch of being a chill ED like Konosuba’s EDs which I really appreciated. And I guess now we wait for Season 3 of Konosuba, I wouldn’t mind another season of this spin-off as well! |
| I actually feel bad for the demon, but it seems like he'll be reborn as Komekko's familiar or something? "When that happens, let's see who's truly greater, with no tricks or schemes" Well we know how that went I wonder if Cecily actually appears later in the main series trying to take over the church in Axel, would be cool. Though I doubt it. Yunyun actually met that mage who inspired Megumin lol. Also I don't remember if I was spoiled on this or this was already revealed, but It was soooo good to see the scenes from the episode 2 of the main series again! (And we finally see Aqua's and Kazuma's faces) I just compared it with the original and this has better art, animation and new voice acting, but overall it's the same (scenes, poses, timings etc.). It's like this is an improved Blu ray version. While I think the main series was better, this was really good too imo. Always happy to see more of best girl Megumin. 8/10 |

| Well, definitely an explosive finale. I still don’t like megumin per se, but she’s much more tolerable now and I can see why others do. This series really answered a lot of questions I had about her character and solved most of the issues I had with her. Loved she and Yunyun’s dynamic over the course of the show and more importantly it showed that the new studio is more than capable of taking over this franchise. Can’t wait for s3. |

| Yunyun had her moments, but of course it has to be Megumin who will steal the spotlight in the end right? Though hey it would've been better if she didn't damage Yunyun's newly developed reputation like that lol. Cecily went on a journey and so did Yunyun. Leaving Megumin to her own... and then came that fateful encounter xD It was okay in the end, I mean it was still a side-story sort of so it makes sense. But now the third season couldn't come any sooner. Looking forward. |

| The finale was solid, with Megumin helping out Yunyun and her party beat the demon. One last explosion, and the OST never gets old. Of course, it ends with Megumin meeting Kazuma and Aqua. Good way to tie things up. Overall, it was most definitely inferior to the mainline story due to a lack of characters outside of Megumin and Yunyun, but the comedy held up well, and because Konosuba was never known for stunning animation, the studio change wasn't detrimental to it either. I still had a really fun time with this one. 8/10. |
| Pretty good anime and a pretty good ending. Can't wait for the third season of Konosuba, which should release in 2024. |

| She finally said it! Megumin called Yunyun her friend! Albeit she only said it for her help... But man, Yunyun telling Megumin that she's her best friend in the world was bold. Even if she thought she was asleep. I feel bad about both demons that died. They didn't seem like bad guys at all. Who knows what reason they wanted Chomusuke for? And that's the end of the prequel. Honestly, it was amazing. It was good enough when it took place in the Crimson Demon's village but then it kept getting better and better. I saw criticism for this series ever since it was announced and I honestly don't get it. This is a prequel. And it's about Megumin before she met Kazuma's group. Of course Kazuma and the others won't be there. So this feels like a very strange complaint that I heard from some people. It's been a while since I watched the first 2 seasons of KonoSuba but I don't remember it being so character-focused at all. The best part about this series was obviously the relationship between Yunyun and Megumin. I think being a prequel held it back if anything. The only thing I'm slightly disappointed by is that Megumin didn't meet her childhood idol again. But man, seeing that ending brought a smile to my face. I didn't think they'd actually do it and tie the series back to season 1. I am going to rewatch Season 1 and 2 closer to when Season 3 drops. But man, I feel like I need Season 3 NOW! | Yunyun is just too good for that world. In the terms of raid I wonder the contributions for the extermination. I would say Aqua 50%, Darkness/Chris 10%. Yunyun 10%, Megumin 20%. I need to rewatch Konosuba, because I feel that Yunyun's journey wasn't that long then. |

| absolutely fantastic, this and mashle are the two funniest shows this season but i think this one might be funnier. hope to see more soon. i liked how they were always in the background showing their antics from s1 up until the end. also how that demon was really chill about getting blasted. "this is not my day". idk why people think megumin and yun yun had to carry the show; from my perspective there was a bunch of characters that had an impact, especially in the first parts with the crimson demons, then the church. |

| This spinoff literally shows how egoist, narcist and rude Megumin is and I still wander why people love her. And now I don't like her anymore, especially after how she treated Yunyun the whole time. 5/10 from me, someone who rated both seasons of konosuba as 10/10. |

| Dude wtf is with all these positive review bombing on mal with these overtly positive reviews all of a sudden. Legit the whole community was shitting on this show for the whole summer and it crashed in polls. Had it been a less popular ln series, reviews would have ripped this series to shreds. 2/10 Basically just a lazy almost recap style of a season. |
| And they tied it up with the main story’s start to end what has been a nice little side show featuring the best girl. Got to get that out there, you know. Anyways, it was nice to see Megumi turn the tables on Yunyun by saving her instead. I thought Yunyun wouldn’t go far as to put the sleeping spell on. I got just as surprised as Megumi when she woke up, xD. Jokes aside, respect to her for going out of her way and train a bit. Wolbach and Yunyun casually meeting up on their journey was kind of funny though. Here’s to hoping Megumin will come across her soon too. Wanted more of Komekko and here’s to hoping for a side story of Darkness’s. It had some boring patches along the way but I suppose a 7/10 would be accurate for my experience. Looking forward to Season 3! Boy, did they time that announcement. |

| Yeah I mean this was fine. I've read all of konosuba and the first 3 Megumin spinoffs and they were just ok in novel form as well. Tbh a lot of what carried konosuba is how insane the visuals and voice acting are which you obviously don't have in novel form. Plus not having the full gang definitely takes away from the comedy. The Aqua + Kazuma banter is rly a big part of what makes konosuba the anime work. |
| How is anyone giving this more than a 5/10. This was so bad and the crash in rankings and polls prove it. The villain at the end felt so half asked to be one spotted by a recurring gag. The cameo felt so unworth it. The plot was so uncohesive you skip right to the last few episodes. The show is getting positively review bom bed by badly written reviews that cannot show evidence of character development and screaming peak fiction. This managed to get past getting universally panned because it had origins from a hit show not too long ago. Any longer it would be ravaged. Worst ln prequel ever made and one of the worst spinoffs. |
| EXPLOSION ONE LAST TIME!! I knew it, they gonna end it like the first time they meet in Season 1 of Konosuba. Perfectly tied it up. Overall it was a nice spin-off about Megumin and Yunyun. 7/10 from me. Looking foward to Konosuba Season 3. |
