tbh they are all over the place. they made telephones before they discovered farming

No rhyme or reasons.

Just utter nonsense and fun. I love it.

I mean quite the opposite. They don't follow the path of discovery, because they have already discovered it. So they just follow the paths they have reason to follow. There was no need to start farming before, but now there is because they need food. There was no reason for cameras before, but now they want to map out an area so now they want to make that. That is what makes it so great.

It's so rare when the characters say they're having fun and I'm every bit having as much fun as they are. The positive energy of this show is unreal.

Honestly I didn't like this episode very much. It made me laugh a few times, yes, and had some interesting things, but it felt so rushed. I liked it better when there was a clear progress to new invention and not 5 or more "[item] get!" in one episode. Everything felt so chaotic like they were trying to just get to the point where they would sail off to the new world. I know all these preparations are needed, but I just can't help that I feel it's all going too fast.

Ps. I also feel like they used way too much metal then they needed to make thing working, but that's just personal opinion.

As an engineer, I enjoyed the first season more because of their more detailed explanations about how they build stuff. It felt more rewarding after they took their time. Now it is kinda too fast. Yet everything they make feel as epic as ever.

Cant wait to see what technological masterpiece the big ship is going to be.

i his existence got spoiled to me before i even started watching dr stone
in 2019 matpat did a theory about the petrification and thats how i found out about dr stone
but it took until now for the anime to get to that point
i am loving this season so far and this was another great episode

There’s still overall consistent entertainment value to be seen here, with all the gathering of materials and all, but I can’t help but be concerned about how quick everything is progressing. Back in Season 1, I really enjoyed the slow creation of things, which created a more meaningful payoff, but now it seems the inventions are just being made so easily. I still like the show overall, but if there’s a reason why I like Season 2 and 3 less than Season 1, it would be for that reason.

I guess they have a mining system now, all signs are pointing to more material gathering and preparation for some revelations later this cour.

Oil

The Technological advancement at it's best.

Since Oil provides the power to move heavy machinery compared to man-power, it advances Tech at a faster pace since you can build things faster, and bigger in a shorter amount of time.

And they're also building Roads. (not only that, but also a Railway)

LOL @ the Gorilla team.

I might be in the minority on this but I'm not a huge fan of how Senku and the others are basically speedrunning their inventions recently. I know it has been happening for a while now but this episode was an extreme example with how many inventions and technological breakthroughs they made in such a short period of time.

In Season 1 each of the inventions felt very significant because of how they were built up and how much time was dedicated to them. I know it’s not possible to give the same feel to every invention but speedrunning it feels like rushing the story too much.

Like I get the reason is they acquired oil and they have the manpower to do this. But I feel like if they spread out the events of this episode in 2 or 3 episodes it would've been more exciting to watch.

I guess my main issue with the series now is the pacing.

felt that too much inventions made in just one episode. it started with radar that had some explanation behind. but ended with mine carts that didn't got explain at all.

and i still don't understand how senku going to locate "WHY man". he made the radar alright, but i thought he's gonna use it to locate him, and not the fishes.
to be exact, they forgot the start of the episode in less than 20 minutes lol.
i don't care for them to adapt so much chapters in one episodes, but i hope to get at least some kind of time passing, and that senku just created a mine cart without even show us he's thinking that.

less criticism, i love seeing chrom thinking out of the box and do his own research.

@AlexTrusk yeah, this is litteraly how science work, humanity have been playing in the mud for millenia but we started using electricity only in 1800 and look where we are now lol

I had enjoyed the episode to be fair. Like there hasn't been much interesting going on except for the science experiments (which I'm surely enjoying - Also hey! They showed me Cathode Ray Experiment! I think that's cool) But I also think that the pacing is a bit slow as compared to the last season or so. WELL I just finished ep 4 so I'm hyped for the next few eps!

Also, I didn't realy feel the Opening song this time unlike the last 2 seasons but still, sounds great :3

Man, they really kicked things into high gear this episode! Sonar, a mine after hitting an iron deposit, and boom, a railroad! But hey, I get it – they've got to hustle; otherwise, we'll be collecting Social Security before this tale wraps up!

I adore the whole crew; each member is unique and excels in their field, but Chrome is the one earning my utmost admiration. It's mind-blowing how he stumbles onto modern scientific applications without any prior knowledge, just soaking up what he learns from Senku and the gang. He's rightfully among the five wise men. While the others specialize in their crafts, Chrome brings innovation and creativity to the table. He's like Senku's engineering counterpart, taking scientific theory, giving it a twist, and making it work for a new purpose. Chrome's the kind of genius that comes around once in a blue moon, pushing the boundaries of science. Sure, he might not seem as brainy standing next to Senku, the walking encyclopedia, but the guy's a creative force.

Alright, let's dive into industrialization now!

Chrome is like a kid trying to learn things with his new toy. It is so wholesome watching him proudly relishing his achievement.

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!
