| Many users use https://imgur.com/ to upload pics especially for blogs, collections, and their lists. Imgur is making a major change on May 15th you need to be warned about if you use the site: * They will delete images hosted on Imgur that are not getting enough views and are not already tied to an account * They will remove all sexually explicit/lewd/NSFW content, regardless if they are tied to an account or not Their post with full details: https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/articles/14415587638029-Imgur-Terms-of-Service-Update-April-19-2023- Sad news! If you use Imgur for MyAnimeList I'd recommend first downloading any favorites pictures you've posted on MAL, and also re-hosting important images on Imgur after logging in there. This way they should be safe from deletion, according to their upcoming terms. If you are always logged into Imgur when you upload, you should be fine unless the images were NSFW. I would also really appreciate you warning any friends or clubs with extensive collections of cards and blogs, etc. Future uploads?! Record your collections! To me those don't count as NSFW but some ppl will see it that way. Most human mods would see it as a little lewd but wouldn't bother tagging it NSFW to avoid the trouble. There is no clear way to tell if those pics are safe because unfortunately Imgur is using an auto-detection which can mistakenly detect the first image as bottom nude on accident and the second image as softcore sex lol. The software can be really smart and also really dumb, I've seen it myself. So you'd have to expect those pics to possibly be deleted although it's super unlikely imo since there's so much more to clear on that site. That place was hentai/porn central. And I would think Imgur may try to set the auto detection to be less sensitive than a site like Youtube, so I think those slightly lewd pics would actually be safe on Imgur. Also the new Imgur terms want to take down porno and sex-explicit, those pics by definition are not generally what ppl see as porno or sexually explicit unless someone's being a real hard ass or trying to maintain a safe space for kids or something. Another reason why I think those would probably be ok |

Yes, the Rankings are all the Tops https://myanimelist.net/topanime.php So now, all Music Type series are like the Hentai. They won't appear listed there. If you check any MV page, you will see the Ranking as N/A now. I made a thread for this. And yes, it's very annoying as they don't bother to explain and it's not the first time they do something like this without explanation. |

| I think all the pics I uploaded to imgur are after I logged in. So I think I should be safe. But this alongside their removal of the image cropping feature makes me want to never use imgur again. |
| I have an imgur account for over 7 years now and my account name in it was my old username in MAL. All of the images that I use on my MAL profile are hosted on my imgur account. So this means that....all my images are safe and they won't be deleted because they're hosted on my own imgur account, am I correct? P.S. I don't have any NSFW images posted on my imgur album. |

If you read their community rules, which this new ToS is using as a guideline, you can see "exposed buttocks" and "upskirts" are both in the "might be taken down" list.  This is why this could be such an issue if they actually enforce it, as a lot of anime content is, well... suggestive. So I suspect much of the images for some people's signatures, list designs, and more could be affected. |

It also matters if the images are ecchi/NSFW. 1) They want to delete all images with low views and were also uploaded when you were not logged in. 2) They also want to delete all NSFW images, no matter what. Doesn't matter if you were logged in or not. NSFW includes ecchi lewd ones, as their rules are becoming very strict. | Ugh! I've been working on backing my stuff up since I know I do have NSFW images. Here's my questions. I looked at both https://imgbb.com/ and https://postimages.org/ since I've heard of these 2. It looks like neither one really lets you rearrange the images in the folders like Imgur does. Am I doing this wrong or am I right? Can anyone suggest a reliable site that will let me organize my uploads like Imgur? Thanks! Back to the insanity of backing everything up. So I tried catbox since they allow NSFW images. I don't use those other sites so I don't know, but opening a Google Drive could be a good way to save images online and you can sort them in folders. A free Google Drive account is 15GB which can hold a lot of pics, and you can make as many as you want. Sharing pics from Googledrive via BBcode is a bit of a pain, you need to right click the images or folder and make sure it is set to be shared with everyone. Then right click an image to post on MAL, take the share link, paste it here.. https://www.labnol.org/embed/google/drive/ ..and you get a direct link for BBcode. It works, but I don't want to post an example as to not expose my Googledrive lol. |

I ended up deleting all of my NSFW and some that they may have considered so, but I'm still searching for an easy to use site that allows these images. It's a headache for another day. *sigh* |
