| If it's a series I like, then obviously no. I'm not bothered by them milking it, because that means I get more content. I wish Kadokawa would milk the No Game No Life IP for every penny it's worth, with a full anime adaptation of the mainline novels, and OVAs for Practical War Game and No Game No Life Desu. |

In the webnovel on Cautious Hero for example, Ristarte was depicted as lactating at times, which later was implicitly related to some pretty tragic backstory of hers. They removed her lactating from the anime and I assume from the LightNovel as well, but I still have to confirm that. I was pretty bummed out by that and thought it was a bit of a disservice to her. |

| I don't think milking a series is bad, not per se anyway. There is nothing wrong in making new content to a series that has become really popular and each of its next project earns a lot of money. It might become bad when milking leads to creating a lot of low-quality shows, but I wouldn't blame milking alone or even call it as decisive factor. The audience is still the most important factor to decide whether they like that kind of direction to their favorite series, or perhaps not. If they won't, then becoming too greedy can lead company into financial problems. Losing money because of a flop is one thing, but losing trust from your customers - that's something that can't be easily fixed. |

| No as it pretty much drags the reputation through the mud, especially if they literally past the endpoint. The only franchise I think that has been milked well is Star wars. The mcu is currently in panic mode since ant man 3 flopped and people dipped after end game. Fate should have ended after spring song. The fgo movies all bombed and ufotable has like abandoned it in favour of demon slayer. Sao probably should have ended after alicization war of underworld. The latest movie did not do well. Yugioh they are milking with awful spinoffs even after takahashi's death. Don't get me started on boruto. Dragon Ball milking is somewhat okay. Love live definitely should have ended after aquors. Niji wasn't good and superstar crashed in reception hard. Every franchise I am a fan of I feel except star wars definitely should have ended once they hit their ending and everything after is rat poison. |

| It bothers me if it messes up the reputation of a great show enough to put off new fans. Dunno how much that happens though. If I'm recommending a show that I know has bad spin-offs, I'll have to specify that they watch the main series, so they don't watch the spin-offs and think that's indicative of the franchise's peak quality. I don't like trying to search for DBZ clips and finding crappy DB Super clips - but it is what it is, as Max Holloway says. |

If my favorite anime is getting a new(game/manga/anime project/novel/unnecessary sequel or spin off) that just destroys my good memories why i mustn't bothered by it? I myself think that recent nier automata anime is unnecessary. (nier automata is more welcome as a game and also knowing the lore is essential and they can't explain that.) |
