| I don't know about underrated but their is one anime opening theme that I like that I don't really think is all that popular. That would be Dark Cherry Mystery from Owarimonogatari S2. I personally think that this OP is really creative and well made. It highlights the themes of this show really well. I like it a lot. |

| These are some of the ones in my favorite OPs from all of anime list which I consider to be actually significantly lesser known and underappreciated in all references to and discussions about the series either when the series first aired (for those I've followed a record on the internet of) or in the discussions pertaining to it since. The first may come as a surprise, but it's still one of my favorite OPs from all of anime, from my top favorite series, and considering how decently mainstream and popular the series itself was in its heyday at least, I always thought this one got the shaft. I'd speculate the only reason is because of the much more iconic first OP of the series which preceded it, "Change the World". Don't get me wrong - I love the first OP as well. It's definitely my second favorite of the series after the second (and in my view these first two also blow the later ones out of the water), but second to me is a superior encapsulation of the spirit of the series. Just wanted to say these are two excellent choices. My additions would be The 4th Inu Yasha opening: "Grip!" by Every Little Thing Blue Genders: "Tokihanate!" by Houko Kuwashima His and Her Circumstances: "Tenshi no Yubikiri" by Fukuda Mai .Hack/Sign: "Obsession" by See-Saw The 4th Eureka Seven opening: "Sakura" by NIRGILIS And most of the Ranma 1/2 openings This is where my ignorance of what the anime community at large actually feels like things, but I guess these would be considered underrated? |
