What do you mean the story is lacking? I just watched the movie and I'm watching season 2 now. The movie Dawn of the Deep Soul matches with the part of the manga that was just mostly action, and it was well adapted in my opinion. But no, not much was going on there plotwise, if that's what you mean.

Hello~
Yeah LoGH is very worth watching, you just watched 7 out of 110 eps after all, and old anime tends to have slower pace. I suggest you to just keep watching :)
