Noticed your call at the eternally inactive cyberpunk club and came here to find you also didn't like C:E that much. Welcome :D

Admittedly, C:E left me feeling very, very dismissive; it's also possible that real life is catching up a little too fast. Like a lot of what C:E does is not REALLY much different than something as old as Neuromancer in the 1980s, but a person reading that back then would have had a lot more breathing room. Now they're talking about putting brain chips in monkeys (most or all of which died), and I guess I feel like C:E is not only dated, but it's also shallow. Doesn't change the fact that I've enjoyed a good number of books, movies, and anime that fall under the subgenre, though. I tend to like sci-fi like this enough to at least give it a look.

Glad to hear it. Hahaha... it's funny, because I remember seeing someone in the forum talking about my review saying "he obviously hates the genre and wants to shit all over it." So I'm glad you noticed I actually like the genre!
