| The 2nd Cour's OST is good, but I've gotta say that the 1st Cour's set pieces were better. Lum's little cousin Ten is here, but like Lum herself, the mature baby doesn't take too lightly on Ataru being a womanizer. Being at Sakura's place for New Year's is a haven for all, but for Ran, having Ten around tests her patience of her true alien origins. Thank God for her, the naive Ataru will do whatever he can, and no thanks to him, the child vs. the adult, and Ataru lost his cool. Ten requesting for a date with Sakura, and how Ataru phrased it in his ghostwriting, it's for sure something he would write to dissuade Ten into the date. But for certain reasons, Sakura actually did come, to give them both a good time...except that Ataru is in full force to make sure that Ten got rejected anyway, anyhow. The surprise that Sakura is already married, it backfired anyways lols. A good return, though at what consistent cost? |

| Urusei Yatsura is back! And with a brand new opening and ending too! Gotta say, loved the opening when I saw the leak and love it even more in HD. The animation is smooth and it feels more like Urusei Yatsura because it ditched the modern-day fakeout in the first OP and stuck close to some of the older OPs. The song is also great. This is probably a dumb comparison but this OP reminds me of Dancing Star which is the 2nd OP of the OG Urusei Yatsura. The ED was disappointing for me. There's no real animation, it's just a zoom-out of an artwork with some animation in it. Some of the older Urusei Yatsura EDs had more interesting animation than this which is a shame. I do like the song but it's held back by the lack of interesting animation. As for the actual episode, I think this is probably the first Remake episode that I'd rate higher than the original anime's counterparts (episodes 2 and 26). Don't get me wrong, the first 11 episodes were great but I didn't think they surpassed the original anime even with better animation. This episode follows more closely to the manga but this time it actually benefits from it. It feels so strange to say this cause this is the episode that introduces us to Ten. Let's see how Ataru and Ten's "sibling squabbles" are handled in this Remake cause some of the things OG Ataru did could be considered too extreme for today's TV... Think of the Inuyasha and Shippo duo but way more hardcore. I like Ten's new seiyuu. He's the type of character who's hard to do right. The seiyuu needs to tackle his voice in a way that sounds cute but also not annoying. That's very hard to do and I wanna see how she does in more episodes. By the way, mailing babies was an actual thing in the US once upon a time. Almost forgot about that. So, Ten being delivered may or may not have been a reference to that. This episode actually adapted the movie theater scene, something that even the OG anime didn't have the balls to do. And that's particularly what peaked this episode for me, except there was a twist. They didn't actually show anything explicit in the movie. Just some weird innuendoes. Next week it's gonna adapt the "love-love catch balls!" story and I'm very much looking forward to that. |

| Ten-chan is finally here! This was fun. I don't remember his intro in the OG entirely. Let's just say it didn't feel as packed and fast paced. The remake is on peds as always xD Opening is pretty good again. |

| Jariten's seiyu sounds a little more cutesy than the original one did. less coarse. Of course, people like me who are accustomed to the old anime adaptation know and "love" this character for who he really is, a tennis ball that needs to be smashed extra hard. You haters out there will get used to him... eventually. Also, still don't like OP or ED, still gonna skip them, which feels like a sin for this anime. Onto the episode. it's VERY different from the '81 equivalent, in a great way. That older adaptation of this plot had a very cold feel, and was just too damn mean spirited for me, to the point that it almost alienated me from the series entirely, thank fuck it didn't. Here though, the whole thing feels much more tolerable, and actually made me laugh a lot. I don't know how they did it, but they made the Jariten intro episode really fun. 10/10 |

| Poor Atako, she doesn't even exist and people are shitting all over her. Ataru's contempt at his parents wanting a daughter is pretty amusing. New OP, it's not bad, but I miss the old one. That being said, I think I like the new ED better than the old. Ten is an absolute nightmare, but I do think, as a whole, this episode is one of the stronger ones. Especially compared to the last few I've seen. That innuendo movie was the greatest movie I've ever seen, lmao. Gave me flashbacks of, "Shimoneta." |

| The little bastard Ten finally shows up and has no problem lighting Ataru's ass on fire when he deserves it. Ten has also taken a liking to Sakura that in the next segment he wants to ask her out by writing a love letter. Of course Ataru tires to help only to sabotage Ten by writing a dirty love letter and giving him weird ideas about dating. Sakura was able to put up with Ten's weird date until she finally rejected him which led to Ataru being set on fire again. I like the new OP and ED, but its going to take some time to get use to them since I like the previous ones. |

| This episode we meet Ten and he seems like an interesting obstacle for Ataru. With lightning and now Fire being constantly thrown at him, It says a lot about our MC's durability! I think the unique pairing of Ten and Sakura for the second half made for an entertaining episode. Glad she's such a responsible adult! |

| It’s great to be back with Urusei Yatsura after the break before the new year, and what a great episode to come back. I was convinced Ten wasn’t gonna be in this remake since he was supposed to appear in some chapters adapted so far but I’m happy to finally see him and he definitely looks great and I like the voice acting. We also got a New Years styled first half of the episode which is fitting and it also greatly showcased how Ataru and Ten get along lol. I especially loved the 2nd half of the episode about Ten and Sakura’s “date”, I remember it going a bit different in the original anime but I really loved it here too, Sakura’s reactions to all the raunchy stuff was hilarious and Ten being oblivious to it all made it even better. The movie bit was particularly hilarious with misleading dialogue lol. And the new OP and ED are slappers for sure, they’ll take a bit of getting used to but I’m already a big fan, I do wish the ED had more visuals but the mural of the waifus is really nice, and the cast dancing in the OP is just fantastic. |
| This ones among the best comedy anime I've seen in all of 2022 (the other being Spy x Family) and episode 12 definitely solidifies this for me. Absolutely love this show, cant wait for the Blu ray release and rest of the episodes of course. Yuuki Aio was fantastic as always! (her and the rest of them really! they are all amazing actually!) |

| Urusei Yatsura keeps on giving us total headbangers for OPs and EDs! Ten almost exposes Ran's identity. I think there's a grain of truth in Ram saying Ten feels as though Ataru is taking Lum away from him. Ataru sabotages Ten's date with Sakura by feeding the kid's head with his lewd lustful thoughts. Recurring background characters Tsuyuo and Menko (AU InuYasha and Kagome) come out of the kinky swingers club lmao So many double entendres in the movie. |

| The new OP is really cute with the gang dancing around. The song for OP is pretty catchy but I still prefer the first one. The new ED is just freaking lazy for just zooming out pic lol. Its song is alright but its art is definitely wallpaper worthy for desktop. Ten's introduction is very accurate to the manga same with its second part. Too bad the snow shoveling chapter not get adapted since that one is really funny with how Ten is being used. And for the second part I'm quite disappointed with how the theater scenes are being handled. I thought it was really lame for DP to show the actual movie scenes to be just a boring gag movie with lewd lines instead of an actual pornographic movie. Sakura is supposed to be entranced with the whole XXX scenes instead of bored lol. The lines in the cinema is already great and they shouldn't really show the actual scenes just to let our imagination runs wild. Next week's episode is about school lunch and catchball. They are some of the funniest ones if I remember correctly and I hope they not ruining it though. Two biggest lowlifes XD |

| Damm Lum looks gorgeus in a kimono. New year meals in japan always look so tasty. Love the new opening as well. Ten sure brings a new level of comedy to the series. Real ladies man even as a baby lol. Looks like Ten has his sight set on Sakura huh. Thanks to Ataru's sabotage the date sure ended up drawing Sakura out though for the wrong reasons. Kudo's to Sakura for holding in her rage at the venues that they visited during the date though. In the end im glad that Ataru got what he deserved this time though. Catchy ending theme as well. |

| First impressions of the OP and ED without seeing the episode yet - I like the new opening better than the first one, especially near the latter half where the whole cast is dancing. Lotta charm and character in it. We also see some more glimpses of future characters, like that weird-looking gang leader that likes Shinobu, those three delinquent girls, CAO-2, Shinobu's little pet fox, etc. Song is pretty nice too. Not sure what's going on with Lum in the last frame though, it doesn't really look much like her, but what can ya do... As for the new ED, the colors are nice and it's a good illustration, but overall I prefer the first ending. |
