They really do look like a family at the amusement park lol. I find it funny that they're also being followed.

Something interesting is that Alas Ramus reacts with that magical symbol on her head when she is stressed. Also, that woman with the silver hair managed to cure her, which adds more mystery to this season.

Looks like some guys came to take away Alas Ramus. I have a feeling this season will have that recurring trend...

Emi and Maou with Alas Ramus together really makes them a married couple.

Don't bother Suzuki. Ashiya is already committed to Maou as the househusband. Advanced F.

Finally, the angel who saved Maou makes her appearance. Surely that won't be the last of her.

Gabriel already put a tough resistance to Maou, but his personaltiy is comedic at best. This will be tough for Maou so let's hope for the best.

This went from a really wholesome episode to a complete serious situation back into a very funny conclusion which was all great in my opinion, so far this is my favourite episode of the season and I did appreciate how everything that happened these past few episodes came full circle during the explanation of Alas Ramus's existence and also shed some light on a bit of Maou's past too (I neeeeedddd more of that)
Absolutely loved Emi's and Maou's interactions too.

We got Mama vs Mama aka the saviour of our favourite demon lord action adding to the overall mystery of what true intentions lie ahead.

Seems like Dio I mean the dude from heaven with some other angels is actually a good guy in this reincarnation(still doubt anyone with that voice actor can ever be a good character lmao) and they need Alas Ramus back by any means necessary except for when polite begging comes into play from Chiyo.

End of the episode leaves us off with a sleepover coming into the mix so more scenes of wholesomeness is ahead.

Best part of the episode for me was my poor boy Ashiya suffering yet it seems a ship of his own between Emilia's friend and himself is starting to set sail though :)

Episode was good, but in the end I have to admit, the art is awful. This Gabriel, Emi, all these characters, somehow loose the "character" they have from the manga, or from the previous anime. I tried defending this on chapter 1, but now I am starting to see this new art as displeasing.

Here's our major conflict for the season. An angel come to collect Alus Ramus and take her back. Gabriel had arrived seeking Alus Ramus since she's one of the tree of life fruits. Beforehand the trip the the amusement park was lots of fun. Emi and Maou playing parents to escort Alus Ramus around the park while having a great time. Buying her a cute hat and seeing a sentai show before Alus Ramus starting getting flashbacks about what happened to her fellow tree of life fruits. Gabriel had come to take them all before. If Alus Ramus is really some reincarnation of a powerful angel then that could explain why she's so sought after. It was nice learning more about Maou past and how the lady angel plays into things with him. It looks like lots of things from the character's past are coming back around. Fighting off Gabriel won't be easy.

Wow Maou, Emilia and Alas Ramus looks and should feel like a nice family, their interactions are not that far from a normal one, the kid enjoying her time, parents arguing on some things, and all of them putting a smile for the camera, yeap definitely feels like a family.

The flashback was kinda fast but a nice look at Maou's past. A goblin with horns, a monster massacred their kind and only he was left to be saved by an angel because he cried (proving that men must cry as much as it looks weak). And though we already knew she came for a fruit, I am still surprised that Alas Ramus is a LITERAL FRUIT and Maou grew her to the best of his care. Still questioning why she points to Emi as her mother, that's still left to the imagination.

Gabriel and his heavenly soldiers are on the hunt for Alas Ramus and wow our boy Maou is mature with the way he thinks about the situation in a rational sense, well nothing much to think even the kid outright refuse to get separated from her parents, so much so that she smiled big when Maou proposed to Emilia to stay in their crib, well that should be fun, RIP to Chiho's thoughts.

Lastly, Suzuki x Ashiya as our new ship in this series. Definitely a surprise couple but they are the right hand characters to both Emi and Maou respectively, so that's a factor. But hey if Ashiya is actually health and put in more points as a bishin man, I get why Suzuki fell for him. And for a man who has appreciated side couples for a while now, their ship is something worth sailing to the anime seas.

What a long wall of text, geez even as I try to shorten it to sentences, there are just some episodes where you just gotta express urself.

Maou and Emi really did look like a young couple with Alas Ramus. She looked so cute in that hat! But man, the kid has definitely been through some shit. What’s the Shard of Yesod I wonder and why is Gabriel and Heavenly regiment after it?

Speaking of Gabriel, he seems like quite the character. Comes off like an goof, but he’s definitely not someone to mess about with i’m guessing. He ate Lucifer’s pizza though. Unforgivable! Haha

Maou made a good point about the demons. There must be demon civilians just living their lives too, like he was before he ruled over the demons. Dude had it rough though what with his whole clan getting slaughtered. That angel saving Maou is very suspicious though. But I guess now we know Maou really is Alas Ramus’ “dad”.

Poor Ashiya, Maou is spending them into the red during that “date” lol. But hey, a nice quiet ride with Suzuki isn’t so bad and he got her number.

Pretty curious to see how Maou is gonna take on Gabriel next week. They’re not gonna hand Alas Ramus back, so I guess it’s war?

Such a great episode loved it.

Laughed way too many times this episode.

I did not expect to learn about Maou's past in this episode, it's surprising that he was saved by an angel.

NGL Emi, Maou and Alas all look really good together.

I'm all in for Ashiya x Rika.

The new guy is absolutely hilarious. I'm guessing Alas Ramus might come for the resuce when things go downhill.

5/5 episode. Can't wait to watch the next one.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

Suzuki and Ashiya are my fave ship in this series lol. She was so cute on the Ferris wheel when she realised it was just the two of them

Chiho again solidifying herself as best girl. Just a regular human girl standing in to protect her demon crush. No powers or special abilities to protect her.

Maou, Emi and Alas Ramus sure make a convincing couple. Ashiya's going to have a heart attack by the time this is over though. Lol Ashiya's moment with Suzuki was cute. Maou sure had it tough back then thats for sure. To think that his savior was actually his race's natural enemy though. Chio really saved the day this time with her tears. Guess even angels get affected by it just as badly too. Overall a fun ep that featured a nice mix of plot expansion, worldbuilding and comedy while also doing well to formally introduce our main villain the bad but polite angel as well as Maou's savior as well. Looks like a sleepover is next in line.

This was a little more interesting of an episode, though it felt a bit rushed at the end there.

I thought there was a nice balance of humor and plot this time around. Slowly but surely it seems to be picking up a bit.

Such a fine episode. The chemistry between all of these characters the super strong point of this series, I mean it always has been just that this episode made me recall it one more time. Also loving this new couple in making, Ashiya and Syzuki.

Also lol the bad guy really accepted Chiho's plead, made me chuckle a bit ngl.

Of course that was to expect for the "family" date not to be normal and Alas Ramus has a considerable background, that was also nice to see Maou's bit of backstory... Also lol that new ship, I didn't expect that but welcome it I guess XD
Now the angels want to take Alas Ramus back but of course they wouldn't give up and give her to them, I wonder how they'll fight back.

good ep.

a very wholesome time it was with Maou and Emi spending the day with Alas.

Need them bad guys to gtfo and leave them alone, though they really didn't seem all that threatening when they don't actually act the part.

The date was indeed nice, they thankfully got to enjoy most of it until things went wrong lol, but I loved seeing Alas Ramus enjoy being with her “papa and mama” on the date, I also enjoyed Chiho, Ashiya and Rika following them the whole time, Ashiya and Chiho’s reactions were always funny lol. The whole Ferris wheel bit was probably my favorite tho, the wholesome pictures and the Maou backstory was cool, and the Rika x Ashiya moment was great too.

And Gabriel was definitely a goofy villain, having the same VA as Dio kinda fits with what he was saying about sounding like a bad guy lol, and Chiho begging him was all it took for him to back off for a day, I guess he isn’t the worst bad guy but he’s definitely a bad guy trying to steal a kid lol. Never hand over that ball of sunshine that is Alas Ramus!

Maou and Emi with Alas Ramus on the amusement park date, they definitely look like a young couple of a makeshift family...while Ashiya, Chiho and Suzuka stalks them from behind.

Once again, Ashiya is his usual being hung up on expenses and olive oil, and feels the pressure being dragged around while the girls are at their usual. Children being children, bringing them to see superheroes in action from a kids' show, yeap. But her Yesod origin from the Tree of Life beckons, plus this unassuming lady that know how to treat her, this is a premonition for Ente Islan people to come invade Earth again with Gate.

Up the ferris wheel they go...and Chiho gets left behind while Suzuki and Ashiya are in the next pod...literally flirting back and forth in Suzuki's perspective. Back to Emi and Maou's situation, this is clearly a heavily-debt Ente Isla situation where Maou once lost to an angel, being taken care of and learning of Earth (that led to the beginning of the Gate and the crescent moon). And Suzuki, are you being a try-hard to win Ashiya's affection?

And the enemy being the angel Gabriel and his Heavenly Army putting them at a standstill, this is just the start of the confrontation, even if the force of violence is at hand. But of all the people, Chiho being one to stop Gabriel sure works lols.

The problem: how to deal with Gabriel, and going forward...

So the female angel from the prologue was the same one that saved young Satan and gave him the seed, so Alas instinctively recognises him as his father since she's born from the fruit of the tree he planted.

Does Alas think Emilia is her mother because Emilia was the closest being to an angel at the time?

this feels lacking when you compare it to s1 but maybe its just bc its still the beginning. oh and ive also grown to dislike the art a Lott. a bit too bright and "shiny"(?) for this show methinks. the brightness ruined a few comedy bits/facial expressions

Ashiya might be the dedicated house husband for Maou, but I'd totally ship him with Suzuki after the events of this episode. You can tell that she has a thing for him already, which was pretty cute. =3

The trip to the amusement park was great, as Maou and Emi tried to get along with each other while making sure that Alas Ramus had as much fun as possible. One thing that gave me the best laughs was the amount of goofy facial expressions from Chiho, Ashiya and the others. XD

It wasn't long before Gabriel made his move and struck at Maou's apartments and he's definitely strong, but Chiho's crying begging simply was too much for him to handle and, while throwing a strop about looking like the "bad guy", he retreated, but promising that he'll come back the next day. Chiho's tears are OP, that's for sure.

Overall, this episode was pretty good fun and it did a nice job with Maou's backstory about how he met an angel when he was younger.
