| I dunno, that whole competition seemed kinda lackluster to me. And I get that they were trying to establish Khun as smart with his whole strategy, but putting people inside of his bag just seemed a little ridiculous to me. Got some lols from it though. Well, I'm glad that others are at least enjoying this show a lot more than me! |

| I had a feeling he'd leap off the throne because of Rachel. I'm glad she remembers him at least. Poor Bam though, that was a nasty hit to the head. Something is definitely different about him... losing control and turning INTO shinsu?! I wonder if he's similar to homunculi from the Fate series. Aka a blank-slate human being but with a body that's slightly more special than a normal human (in Bam's case maybe was made out of pure shinsu or something). Also my mind was blown that that was a ribbon in Khun's hair the whole time (also it was super cute how comfortable he was sitting on the throne with Bam) |

| I am following the dub as I am busy with other stuff and really like the cast. I just want to say the crown game was really fun and a nice change of pace. I'm loving this show so far and I keep being impress by how it changes things up. |

| That was such a 5Head move of Khun. He planned all that before this fight? Kudos for that. Like I thought his bag is very special. Copying things, people who can get transported in it (now that comment "Your bag seems very heavy" makes sense) and mostly a lot of other stuff is definitely something else. Rak finally also got some time to shine. His interaction with Khun is so hilarious most of the time :D I enjoyed the last round a lot. Animation and OST were on point but at the same time questions popped up in my head. Why for example did Rachels team support Bam? Who was that girl with the red hair in that cat suit? And what was that crazy shinsu attack of Bam? Good thing Black March stopped Bam who was about to kill that red haired girl. The conversation Han Sung and Lero-Ro was also interesting. So that's why they do the tests. But with that another question for me came up. Who is Urek Mazino? >.< I wonder what Rachel told Khun at the end. |

My curiosity is peaked seeing that Rachel didn't try to kill Bam but instead helped him, Bam unleashed some powerfull Shinsu and the redhaired lady wears some nice full-body tights. |

| Good episode again, although I do prefer the previous episode to this. I felt like the action was good still between Androssi and the girl in the full body tights (who basically becomes my 2nd favorite character from this franchise later on) as well as Aguero using his brain and his abilities with planning far, far ahead when composed to have some of the regulars in his bag to assist them with climbing the tower so that they can help him in future rounds, like for this Crown Game. Even the cliffhanger with Khun and Rachel meeting while Bam is unconscious was a solid one. One thing I was split on was the golden shinsoo that exploded when Bam was mentally out of control seeing Rachel be attacked like that, along with costing his group the test by leaving the throne and dropping the crown too. The anime staff tried to show how much potential shinsoo Bam has and how if trained the right way, can be one of the most powerful threats to the Tower with his gifted abilities and being a genuine Irregular, but the explosion of the golden shinsoo was overexaggerated not gonna lie. The webtoon used the shinsoo to make it less explosive and windy but more of a strong breeze but here it went like a proper explosion. Still though, I still enjoyed this episode overall. Man, watching this show without having the pressure of comparing every single detail to the webtoon, and watching it while the community dismisses every single frame about this show is refreshing. I actually feel like the first 5 episodes are a 7-7.5/10 right now, the pacing hasn't been bad at all for me and while minor details were changed, the heart and soul of the show was still there, I still liked the characters and interactions and I have fun watching the fights and visuals. It's just a shame the future episodes aren't quite as great as these five for me. But that's for me to talk about in the future in detail when I get to those episodes again in the rewatch. |

| The MC has officially become a full-on one-dimensional character. Still enjoyable series, but nothing to take too seriously. |

Nah thats how it was portrayed in the webtoon as well. Baam might be attracted to rachel but his devotion to her is not born of it. It's more like she was his everything. He lived in empty dark pit with nothing and no one until he met her. Everything he knows including words and concepts is entirely from her. If anything she is more like his mother than romantic interest. The show hints at this with how he describes her. They say right in episode 1, he is more afraid of never seeing her again than death to the point he doesn't even have to think about his own well being when weighed against that.

He starts out with a single minded goal of finding rachel but he does grow attached to other people with other goals. We can see already that he felt bad for making them risk losing the crown game or if he risks losing something he is borrowing. The show very intentionally makes him weigh things against his pursuit of rachel and I think it's fun to watch the wheels turn and the blank person become a human. It's kind similar to the main guy from katanagatari in that respect.

| @RinTheWanderer This is the perfect description of Baam as a character and his role in the story right now. A lot of people are quick to label Baam as having no personality and whatnot, and to be fair, the anime feels very rushed and does not depict it as well as the webtoon, it didn't let certain moment sit for a while for the people to digest. Baam is learning as he goes, he's going to develop his own character as we move along. This is also a show that is not completely dark, nor completely goofy, it's a mix of both, similar to One Piece and Gintama. |

| So that mysterious girl really was Rachel and she didn't seem intend on killing Yoru but instead her group had another target, interesting. Also, Khun's bag is not only really durable but also has ridiculous storage capacity and can clone things too, talk about OP. |
