| Definitely GAR. I'm not particularly fond of them either, but at least I'd be willing to give most of them a shot and there're a few I like. I have learned to stay away from anything that looks moe/CGDCT, as I highly dislike the art style for most of them and would most likely not enjoy watching those shows at all. Unless it's one of those looks-cutesy-but-is-actually-dark kinds of shows. The only other exception I could think of is Aria, but that's because it's one of the few moe shows (that I'm aware of, anyways) where the characters actually look and act their age. |

| I think it goes without saying which side of the aisle I align with just by looking at my forum set. Cute, lighthearted fun is what attracts me to anime in the first place. Sometimes I branch out and watch more macho stuff like S-cry-ed which is the best, most macho thing I've ever seen in my life (other than maybe the original Predator movie). But I will never watch JoJo. |

| I choose GAR over Moe any day because I'm a action junkie that loves blood and gore. Moe is the complete opposite of all that and it really doesn't do anything for me. Idol show fall in that same Moe category and avoid those shows like the plague unless its Symphogear or D4DJ. I could watch K-On, but I have to be in a really good mood to be motivated to watch that type of show. |

She does some dark things, so she passes for an edgy moe like characters from Higurashi and Elfen Lied. Not GAR however. I don't recall any moe characters in the original FMA, but there is May Chang from Brotherhood who passes for a moe, acts cute, and actually accomplishes masculine feats, but she isn't the main character and has too little screentime to be considered the anime moe. Ed and Alphonse can pass for one, but only for few comedic scenes when they transform into chibis. Black Lagoon is edgy, but Revy appears masculine, is combative, and tomboyish. Kino and Lain could pass appearance-wise, but they never acted cute. |
