An anime you didn't cry to but everyone around you who watches anime did...

I'll cry to any anime as long as it's emotional or heartbreaking but I didn't cry to A Silent Voice the first time I watched and I still am guilty for that the reason I didn't cry the first time I watched Koe no Katachi is because it was my 4th anime I watched and I didn't get what was going on but now it's my favorite movie of all time...

Don't worry. I didn't cry too but it's still my favorite movie and I've never cried for any anime except Clannad After story but it's not my favorite.

That shit was sad, but I didn't cry. My sisters sure as hell did though xD

I watch anime by myself so that situation never happened to me with anime.
I'll probably be crying my face off when the final season of attack on titan happens tho

I never had this experience because I mostly watch every anime sitting alone.

Koe no Katachi is a good movie but it didn't made me cry but Your Name made me a little bit sad.

I would say Madoka Magica and Elfen Lied in my case.

Angel beats did nothing for me. I was glad when it finally ended.

Violet Evergarden too, but I dropped that one about halfway through.

Oh, and Vivy. Not sure if people really cry to this show but it sure did try hard to make it happen, haha.

Your Lie in April. I didn't care much for the characters, so it wasn't very sad to me.

The only one that I know of that might count would be A Place Further Than the Universe. I've heard it's a tearjerker but when I watched it, the characters didn't really appeal to me, so my attachment to them was slim to none.
For me to cry in an anime, I need a connection to the characters somehow, or to just like them for any reason.

Your name - at no point did I feel a single emotion, let alone get sad enough to cry.
A silent voice - just about managed to fight away the tears in a couple of scenes
Angel beats - doesn’t really count cos I’ve only watched like half of it and I’m sure the emotional stuff is further to the end
To your eternity - only watched ep 1 which apparently lots of ppl cried at the end of, but like someone earlier said, there wasn’t anything that made me feel attached to the character so I didn’t really care about their death (not to be mistaken for not having any emotions)

Clannad (after story)

Also adding few out few from others which I did not even considered I should cry... I at least felt I should at Clannad (A Silent Voice, Your name, Assassination classroom, Elfen Lied) and any other mentioned in here I have not seen

I dont think I cried while watching anime

You don't have to cry to find a story compelling. It's one reaction out of many that makes an anime personally everlasting. For example, I've experienced the opposite. I cried at the melodramatic ending in Angel Beats and I find it to be bad show. Riddled with plot holes, inconcistencies, somewhat directionless narrative and lethargic worldbuilding. I know this is an unpopular opinion to have on such a highly regarded show, but I didn't find it to be adequate, yet I still cried. Crying is usually an indicator of a touching and personal story, but ONLY that, an indicator.

Your Lie in April just didn't do enough to make me cry. I'm not gonna call it shitty or anything; it gets dry midway.

As far as I can remember, Assassination Classroom and Koe no Katachi. I don't remember if I cried in Kimi no Na wa or not but it feels like I did. Assassination Classroom is really good but I just couldn't get my tears out.

Your Lie in April. Hard to feel sad for the worst character in the show.

Clannad After Story. The series is just cry porn, impossible to take seriously. Any adult that cries at this needs to grow up.

I barely cry when watching anime (partly because I don't like watching anime with sad tone). The only time I cried a lot was watching the ending of Revolutionary Girl Utena.
But if there's one anime that I've watched and is particularly famous for making audience cry, then it'll be Ousama Ranking. Many people on Twitter, Plurk or other social media have said that it's very touching that they've cried, but I didn't. I surly felt sad about the things that the main protagonists have experienced, but I just didn't feel like wanting to cry about them.
