I totally agree with the bit about pacing. A lot of good shows stumble because of extra fluff within dialogue or streching out certain scenes or fights with monologues.
And with Rudeus and his dad, that's exactly what I meant when I said I loved the stay at home grounded vibe of the show. The family drama was a part of it. I realise I may have been too harsh on the show because of the last 3-4 eps, but the issues I had slightly exceeded the the things I loved.

Okay, so Vivy. Part of why I was underwhelmed by the show is courtesy to a little too much 'AI Insurrection' media I've consumed over the years. I really don't think much of Robot Violence, it's like I'm immune to all that. They seriously tried to humanize the AIs, which started to feel try hard at one point. A few characters seriously annoyed me, but Matsumoto the robo-trash panda took the crown. Kakitani, who is supposed to be this major overarching antagonist had a really messed up sense of logic. I dismissed Kakitani's irrational and dumb mindset as childhood trauma, but the more I saw of him, the more I realised he's just stupid. I mean, if a robot you adored sacrificed itself to save you, would you be traumatized to such a degree, that you would dedicate your existence to eliminating all AIs by pledging to an actual terrorist organisation? I mean no one in their right mind would.
Archive ironically ends up being the 'big bad' who just bets the entire existence of the AIs on a whim. Why? For shits and giggles ofcourse. I can probably find a dozen other issues I had, but that'd be nitpicking.

I did however give this show a 4, or 'just below average' as I consider it. It had some great redeeming qualities too. WIT absolutely blew me away with the closeup stills. I literally had one as my wallpaper for a while. Songs were really good (no surprise there), and Vivy herself was an engaging protagonist. I really loved this show up till episode 4, but the subsequent events didn't quite live up to the Hotel Sunrise arc. I'm big on time travel, but that wasn't the focus here at all. Ultimately the show ended up being a Robot Drama.

hello! And yeah I still totally stand by my opinion on music. Although somehow, it still rarely influences my final score for a show. Kinda like animation quality tbh, like it really enhances my overall experience, but it's still a perk that's optional.
About Mushoku Tensei, I enjoyed watching Part 1. Really liked the fantasy music too. Okay so moment of truth, I'm not a huge isekai fan. I love fantasies, yes, but not quite the ones Japan is big on. I really liked Re:Zero for its characters and Konosuba, because it is...well, Konosuba. The 'Magical World' fantasies aren't really my thing. So unless an Isekai has something unconventional going for it, I'll just pass.
But Au Contraire, Mushoku DID have something like that going for it. I mean, first time I've seen a guy ACTUALLY being reborn in a world. Like from scratch. I'll admit, seeing baby Rudy being horny as hell was hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed everything with Roxy, Sylphie and the double pregnancy.
However, I felt like things started going downhill once Rudeus got shipped off to his new job. We got the standard arsehole-ish chick Eris slowly falling for Rudy, which was pretty trope-y, but still fun. Rudy picking up new languages as he taught magic was very interesting. But then the teleport thing happened.
Wasn't really a fan of the stoic Sperdia guy with his typical 'I will clear my name' goals, and it seems like he's here to stay. Now here's where my dislike of Isekai tropes comes in. Guilds, parties or whatever have always annoyed me for some reason. The final arc with the band escaping the city was not very impressive for me.

Music was solid throughout, and unexpectedly, the animation too. I did like Roxy a lot (not a surprise, considering her VA). I don't see the main characters returning back home anytime soon, and that kinda disappoints me. The 'stay at home' grounded vibe this show had before the teleportation was the entire reason this stood out for me. I'll be starting Part 2 soon, unless I decide to pick up Violet Evergarden or The Garden of Sinners first. That's basically it.

no problem and thank u too for accepting

In 2022, I'm looking forward to Vanitas no Karte 2nd season, AOT final season part 2, Shield Hero season 2 and Uzumaki

I want to say that Bleach is only 203 episodes if you skip the fillers. If you want high quality animation, then I don't think bleach is that well animated. I haven't watched it myself.

Happy New Year!

How is Naruto going for you?
It is good that you are reading the manga because the anime will waste your time by dragging and fillers

I haven't watched much seasonals but my favourites from this year are Vanitas no Karte, Vivy and AOT final season and I want to say that MHA manga is going to end in one year.

Hi
I saw that you are watching season 2 of MHA.
I suggest you to drop it after season 2 or 3. It will be a time waste for you because it will get worse season by season.

It's okay bro ^^
I see you are an Indian, where do you live in India? Also mind telling me what makes Kimi no Nawa your favourite anime?
Mantron Dec 1, 2021 7:49 AM
Vagabond's really good. There is a bit violence but it is not disturbing as much as Berserk.
Mantron Dec 1, 2021 7:05 AM
I don't consider her as best girl but she was a good character. I like her unlike most people who hate her.

Well, what are you watching next ?
Mantron Dec 1, 2021 6:38 AM
Its good that you enjoyed it but I didn't enjoyed it and didn't liked any of the characters. Also Shirou's and Gilgamesh's character could have been better but Rin Tohsaka was annoying.
If you enjoyed UBW, then you should watch Heaven's Feel trilogy which is the third route and it is also made my ufotable
Mantron Nov 29, 2021 8:54 AM
It might be a fun series but it is not good as much as people say. It is just some wierd romcom. Actually romcom are fun to watch but kaguya sama is really different. I would like it to keep it for the last. You should try the anime yourself before judging the anime as every person's taste is different and I also suggest you not to watch Heaven's Feel Trilogy if you dont like UBW.

I dont like MHA. I stopped it after season 1. The main problem in the anime for me are the characters.
What is your opinion about MHA?
