| Matamune is hands down the most badass cat I've seen this year, especially in this episode. I gotta say, the bit of moments between Anna and Yoh are adorable this episode. Seems they're growing closer in this timeline than expected. |

| Both Yoh and Anna are staring at the TV and watching some weird music show...their impressions still being very shaky. Anna's ability to read other people's thoughts, and Yoh's decision to be carefree...the latter must be in a position where she might read Yoh's perverse thoughts on a blue moon (that's the 2nd slap). Back to seriousness though, Yoh has made it a point to safeguard Anna by growing to be the Shaman King and lifting her curse, that's how a relationship should be. The two going to the temple with Matamune being a shield lest Anna's curse does play into effect again (which it does) at the time before New Year's, he's the perfect cat spirit to take on this mission with all the Furyoku that he'll extinguish to defeat Anna's curse creation of a 1080 souls infested giant demon. Matamune's flashback with Hao (before he turned evil), Hao's benevolence provided a way for him to fight for as long as Furyoku is pumped. But the giant demon is gaining the upper hand with Anna, and if he reaches Osorezan then all is over. Thankfully, help comes from the least expected: Gu-chan to the rescue. Osorezan Le Voile. |

| I've been liking this arc quite a bit. Possibly my favorite in the series so far The moments with Yoh are Anna are always great and Matamune has been a perfect addition here. I like the usage of the first opening during the first tv part lol |

| Another great episode! Really loving this arc, can't wait for the last part. Yoh and Anna's relationship is really great, it's developing quite nicely. Thank you Bob and Ringo, they can bond over music. The Great Demon's "oh no" caught me off guard lmao. |

| This is seriously some great character development for Yoh and Anna and how he wants to become the Shaman King, though it's kinda tense how they need to stop the demon as fast as possible now |

In the manga the author usually uses Yoh's and Anna's taste in music as a way to show their personalities and their individuality but these stuff were subsequently cut-out in this fast paced remake, so i guess the new year tv show segment was actually used to summarize this specific stuff from the manga + to insert the "Ringo Urami Uta" song, a song the author himself wrote. |

| First opening was playing on the television before Bob Love's song. Coming out of this peril will be the thing that brings Yoh and Anna together. Matamune's not down yet. |

| yoh and anna is more cute as kids than .. hm, well, 13 years old kids lol matamune is the best character here. too bad that he probably gonna die (since he doesn't exists in the present) the pace is little slow, but from some reason i can't see it being done otherwise. |
