I like rewatching stuff. But I don't know what to start rewatching. So, I'm curious how you guys make those decisions. Do you just pick stuff you haven't watched in a long time? Do you just rewatch your favorites over and over? Do you suddenly get an urge to binge watch some random show?

I rarely rewatch an entire anime but I mostly rewatch Doraemon movies, episodes and other childhood shows bkz they never get old for me.But if I rewatch a certain anime series it mostly depends on the mood.

Well I rarely rewatch like Dino said, so if I were to rewatch, it probably because I missed the series or the characters that are in it or like binge to watch it again specially comedy for me to brighten up my day so it depends on my mood lol

4) Interest
If the above conditions met then I will re-watch.

What do you mean by "exams"? Like if exams are coming up?

Usually I end up rewatching my favorite anime's or if I'm in the mood for it. Rarely will I watch some anime I could care less about. It's kind of hard to actually rewatch a whole season's worth of an anime since revisiting the scenes on YouTube is much easier. Don't get me started on my wish to rewatch One Piece from the beginning lol. I would say prepare yourself and actually look forward to rewatching said anime if you want really want to rewatch it. Like there are some people that watch Your Lie in April every April so yeah. The anime just really resonated with them and it becomes this yearly experience to look forward to that has yet to become stale.

I'm totally okay with watching an anime with someone else irl or through a reaction channel if I've already seen the anime too. It's almost like watching the anime for the first time b/c they've probably never seen the anime but you have. You get there honest reactions and maybe even some analysis. I know for sure if I were to rewatch an anime right now that I would have to be interested in rewatching the anime. That's the first thing then figure out the rest. Find a way to make that rewatch experience better. I've dabbled in analyzing the anime's if I decide to rewatch them, but it's all went uncompleted b/c I never have the time to watch anime. Experiment a bit :D

Edit: Honeyfeed is a cool place for people to write though I've never dived into anyone's stories.

"damn, all these anime I watch have garbage chicks, this chick is annoying, this one is way too emotional, this one is flat, how come we ran out of great chicks? wait, what was that anime, oh yeah Yuno, that's a girl I would love to see more of, she's crazy. let's rewatch Mirai Nikki, Yuno is better than all these bitches combined."

I’ve only rewatched one anime, JoJo Part 5 which is my first anime. I only rewatched it to fix the watch order

So basically either:
1. Fix the chronological watch order
2. I fucking miss the anime
3. Gintama

I hope no one I know irl sees my secret account~

Anyways, do I look cute in this outfit?~

Whatever comes up in my head. just like that.

Also when something new of a particular series comes out like a new Code Geass movie or Fate anime, then I may rewatch either series again.

I've only rewatched one show, and I only did that because I wanted to binge it along with the second season.

I ended up watching 50 episodes and 2 movies...
That was a rough night.

Generally I'm up to rewatch pretty much everything I've rated at least 5/10 or 6/10. I also already have a few in mind that I plan to rewatch in the near future. But which one of them and when? That's a decision that eventually happens randomly.

I would rewatch series that I haven't fully digested yet or there's new updates regarding those series (e.g upcoming season, movie sequel) to keep my mind fresh. And I would also rewatch some bc they're just that good lol.

I rewatch something mainly when I watched it a long time ago, don't remember it very well and just want to refresh it. Or also when I just like something and feel like watching it again.

I do not generally rewatch shows. I've also been watching anime rigorously since like 2002. And when i started I went and watched a bunch of older shows, so there aren't many (if any) shows that I want to see that I haven't seen already.

At this point I just pick up some new shows that look interesting every new season. I'll drop the ones that I lose interest in and keeping going from there.

If I found it to be extremely entertaining, like "Youjo Senki".

Sometimes I get an urge and miss something I've watched before, and can't get it out of my head whether it's songs, scenes, characters, ect. and I just want to see it all again.

That's all really. Wouldn't say it's something I ever plan to do, just kinda happens

I make some random ass poll on Twitter where random strangers can choose between 4 lucky contenders. Either that or If they're that great of shows I just schedule a time to rewatch.

Gurren Lagann is this month's rewatch.
Monster is a new years rewatch.

My most recent rewatch (School Rumble) was like this: I was just looking for a screen capture which I thought was in ep. 1. It wasn't, so I started ep. 2, and by the time I found it I was enjoying myself so much that I went on watching until the end.

Sometimes I rewatch with something specific in mind, like paying special attention to a character, or the dialogue. The last time I did Lucky Star I concentrated on the backgrounds.

If it's a show I know very well, I try to rewatch without subs.

As a man who has rewatched stuff 320 times. (Some once and some more than once)

I really don't decide what to rewatch. Sometimes I just feel like rewatching a certain show if I liked it. Sometimes you just don't want to start anything new and just pick a show you like and sit down.

I've noticed the only shows I tend to re-watch are those i can jump into and out of (ie I've got 10 mins spare while missus is in the shower, so stick a show on) and are easy watching for me, such as Azumana Daioh, Yuru Yuri and GochiUsa.

I am planning to re-watch Re:Zero again though, i want to watch it all way through as the 2nd season i saw as it was airing and i know i missed bits due to the weekly release.

The shows that changed my life somehow, and particularly the ones that I didn't properly enjoy. Now I'm re-watching Clannad because it's the most precious story I know and I just need it one more time, before I stop watching anime for I don't know how much time.

If I'm re-watching something it's either because I absolutely love the show (NANA, S;G) or I hate it so much that I force myself to watch it, because it's so bad, and to remember what a bad show is for my rating scale (SAO, Akame Ga Kill, Mirai Nikki).

i never re watch a show on my own, aka alone, only if i want to show it to someone else.
thats why i watched all of ghibli and naruto at least 10 times each. yes the whole Naruto, i got a lot of my homies to anime throughout the years. and we re-watch a lot of shows as a family, too.
and for that i'm really glad and will endure all of the fillers that i can and more.
i learned to enjoy all of it, and appreciate it all.

I generally re-watch only funny anime, that too I mostly watch them just as YouTube clips but not a complete re-watch. As for other anime no matter how good they are as I already know what's gonna happen next it's little tough for me to see them again. But comedy, you can laugh as many times as you want.
PS - The clip I watched the most in my life is Kazuma first death, it's the funniest shit I've ever seen, and Grand Blue clips.
