Well... nothing much to say here but yeah it was nice seeing all of them being in their own dreams. Goes to show what they care about most. It's always sad to see this even after no. of times. Nezuko's head smash still has its cute effect intact. :3

Yeah... rewatching the movie. The ED is really beautiful both visually and sonically. No episode next week due to the broadcast of the special election number "Live Election Sunday", so expect Episode 4 on 7th November instead of 31st October.

The noticeable Director's Cut addition of animation cuts while everything is intact from the movie:
- The opening sequence of the Mugen Train post-OP, before Nemu's Dream sequence for all Demon Slayers
- Tanjirou running for 2-3 secs across the snow in his spiritual core
- Somehow it's missing both Zenitsu and Inosuke's dream sequences resurrected. Probably will cover that in the next episode.

It's OK if Episode 4 comes out 2 weeks later.

Yeah, great episode. I didn't particularly notice any extra scenes and based on what KANLen09 said above, doesn't look like there were a lot of additions.

Zenitsu and Inosuke's dreams are pretty funny.

Rengoku's dream feels a little melancholic given the situation with his father but the scene where Rengoku just instinctively guards himself against the threat is insane.

Tanjiro's dream is cheerful in atmosphere but heartbreaking to watch as he realizes the utopia is just a dream and he can never reclaim his lost family. :(
I really loved this particular mechanic where Tanjiro has to kill himself to potentially free himself from the dream.

We got a glimpse at everyone's dreams, and lol Zenitsu and Inosuke are goofy 🀣

I swear the part where Tanjiro's youngest sibling yells for him to not leave them behind always fucking gets me. That whole sequence, with him wishing his life was still normal but realizing he has to leave them because it's all a dream, is so painful to watch.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Just like in the movie, it was unbelievably sad seeing Tanjiro saying goodbye to his family. Such a brave protagonist, not too many characters/people are able to abandon their comfort-zone like that.

I enjoyed it but I have to say I think the animation quality is decreased from what it was in the movie of course, and this part of the movie was probably my least favourite simply because of the melancholic feeling throughout this part. That, and the fact that the story is not progressing very much makes me give this episode a 3/5

The moment with Tanjiro having to leave his family behind honestly hits me almost as much as the end of the movie. Being the eldest son myself it hurts seeing Tanjiro in such pain like he let his family down. The whole thing might be an illusion but the feelings are real. If all the bad things didn't happen then Tanjiro would've been there living his normal life, no demons, no swords, just happy times with his family. Its painful to even think about. Luckily there's some levity at the beginning of the episode with Zenitsu and Inosuke having their crazy dreams. Both funny in their own ways I liked those. Rengoku having that dream that's more like a memory, reminiscing about his father and how depressed he became. Someone who's always been full of life is not a shell of themselves after losing his wife. Tanjiro got some reassurance from his father about leaving this dream now its time to stop Enmu.

This episode was pretty cool. It was hard for me to watch Tanjiro leave his family behind. I knew I had to brace myself for it. As for Zenitsu and Innouske dreaming was hilarious. Looking forward to the next episode. Though I think we got to wait until next month. That is fine for me. I need a break now and then too. XD

Zenitsu is trippin, but his dream is still nothing compared to Inosuke's haha.

In contrast to that, Rengoku's situation at home is kinda depressing. And when Tanjiro left his family behind fot good it hard as well.

Didn't know his spiritual core was where the Unravel opening started, tho. Guess Tanjiro and Kaneki have more in common than meets the eye.

Now that the movie was broken in parts. Inosuke have the strangest best dream of them all. If you think the other 3 are slice-of-life.

Watching this as TV anime, made the Tanjiro snow stage dream much better, being less a drag to watch.

This episode was very disappointing. I was expecting, similar as the previous ones, some new information but this entire episode was like a cut-and-paste from the movie. The only new thing was the post credits scene. I f you watched the movie, you can skip this episode or just watch the post credits scene.

Zenitsu's dream was cute, Inosuke's dream was hilarious, but Tanjiro's dream... It was so sad to see him regaining consciousness and having to deal with the fact that his family members were dead and everything he saw during the dream was nothing more than an illusion.

I'm not a fan of watching recap, but those smallest changes are always a nice touch :)

Nezuko trying to wake up Tanjiro and crying afterwards while receiving a cut on the forehead? Cutest moment ever! (I've remembered this scene from the movie) >w< <3

Ah, yeah, the dream sequence again, and Tanjirou cutting up his neck too. Nezuko absolutely stole me with her adorableness in these episode. She got plenty of screen time too. So, yeah, no problem rewatch those all scenes again.

Again nothing new what most people haven't already seen in the movie. Nonetheless I really liked this portion of the movie with the dream sequences.

Nezuko was just too cute, when she tried to wake up Tanjiro and ended up being injured herself :D

Since the first time in the movie, I'm still wondering about what happened to Rengokus father to change so much. Would be great if the upcoming episodes give some more explanation and context.

The situation with Rengoku's father is kinda depressing, but the way he stops the girl attacking his core was just badass. Even if you know what's about to happen it's still such a sad moment when Tanjiro leaves his family behind. Zenitsu's and Inosuke's dreams in comparison are the complete opposite.

It also never gets old seeing the beauty of Tanjro's inner heart, but the cutting scene is still shocking. Imagine a dream felt that real and you had to cut yourself to be able to wake up. Not a thrilling thought if you ask me.

Excellent episode, didn't watch the movie or read the manga so all of this is new to me. The dream sequences were good.
Zenitsu's was funny and Inosuke was aight.

Rengoku's was bittersweet, I wonder what his Dad witnessed to change him so? His survival instinct is next level as well, bro choked tf outta that demon chick.

Tanjiro's was plain sad when he had to come to terms that it wasn't real and that he'd never have his dead family back.

Looking forward to next episode

The amount of courage Tanjiro showed in this episode is mind-blowing - first the courage to leave his family behind and accept all over again that they're gone and second, the courage to slit his own throat not knowing if it was the right thing to do. Respect, Tanjiro, mad respect

If there's anything good about them using the same content, it's the fact that editors will have an easier time getting specific scenes from downloading 20-minute-episodes rather than a 2-hour movie file.

Nothing to say that they add something big in a recap but there are some noticeable things at the end card where Tanjiro's dad appeared and gave him a message he's really like his father kind and thoughtful to others and knows when to protect others to those in need even demons that are in need like Nezuko.

Wow Rengoku really is a boss d*mn the way he grabbed the neck of that girl while still sleeping, insane!
Really liked his parts in the episode, I gave 4/5 for him.

Tanjiro had some nice scenes as well, but the way he recognized it's a dream really irked me. Couldn't they have thought of a less obvious shounen protag plot armor way? Like Nezuko doing that fire thing from the outside alone would have been enough, him telling himself it was a dream wasn't needed...Also his father's ghost (?) conveniently appearing again smh

Zenitsu's and Inosuke's dreams were ridiculous, what's wrong with them seriously ... xd

This was meh too, felt pretty formulaic in the whole dream approach where he had to escape the dream and write off his family for good in a way through that and not just stay there forever. Kind of reminds me why I absolutely love the Dream chapter of the Tsukumodo Antique Shop light novels since that LN took a much different approach than I would expect by the end and it was simple yet amazingly refreshing and executed there. Here, felt pretty by the books. Zenitsu's quite the horny man in his dreams with Nezuko lol.

Nothing seemed that new to me. But I wonder if they made any tiny changes on Zenitsu and Inosuke's dream. Or it could be that I forgot.

In this part my favourite scene was Rengoku giving advice to his little brother. What he said was quite encouraging.
