I actually liked Shino's interactions in this episode. The Film project result was pretty clear what they could've done with only a camera, but that's just because I have studied film production before.

Another great episode, esp the dialogue and cuteness with Aki at the end.
Kyouya's use of stills was a great idea without being able to use a video camera.
This show deserves all the praise it seems to be getting.

First of all, thank god they confirmed that Misaki and Eiko are sisters, they looked way too similar not to but there was still the chance lmao.

Kyouya came up with a great idea for the project, nice improvisation skills to end up delivering an original work despite the issues.

Shinoaki is so freaking ahead of the others romance-wise that it feels unfair, holy shit, I like her so far so it's fine, but I still want to believe that my girl Eiko has a chance, things are looking very rough tho q_q

This is turning into one of your my favorite shows for this season. I liked the idea of using a stop motion rather than just using the digital camera to record the whole film, Also was he referring to NicoNico when he talked about the Japan-only video site?

Maybe, he even refered that it was open at the end of the year iirc (NicoNico is launched in Dec 2006, according to wikipedia)

This anime could do without the unnecessary fan service thrown in every episode to be honest.

Because otherwise it has actually been a pretty solid watch.

I figured it would be stopmotion, since with the kind of camera they had, there was no other choice. I wish I got glimpses of what Kasegawa's team did at least, or the silent film shown before just to see the level of where the class is in general, and where team Kitayama is in comparison beyond just hearing that they were third.

I really wish this series doesn't turn to a harem but it's already planting seeds for one potentially, so meh.
The Second place didn't even get mentioned in Manga and Anime. as a manga reader, I'm more intrigue to the second place. I bet they play a future role later down the story.

Question:

Anybody know which anime theme Nanako sang in karaoke? It really feels familiar, and probably comes a popular anime around that timeline.

"Sobakasu (そばかす)" by JUDY AND MARY (Rurouni Kenshin first Opening).

Thanks! I knew I was on the level when I heard it.

That really was a creative to get out of their problem. The anime really cut the fat in the storytelling, because that ninja student who gave a standing ovation had originally a key role in it. Question:

Sobakasu by Judy and Mary.
Rurouni Kenshin opening theme.

Thanks! I knew it was popular anime, forgot which exactly though.

1st Episode was perfect. 2nd Episode disappointed with the pace. 3rd Episode is marvelous.

Fanservice should be limited as much as possible. and the anime pace should be slower since they skip a lot of detail in the manga during 2nd episode. In 2nd Episode, the camera equipment is not the only problem, the child actor got a fever too which force them using a replacement in a sudden. not only that, Nanako got another class she attended. but I can't say what since it would be a spoiler.

So far, since this is the only anime I watch for this season, I hope they can improve more toward the detail that the author from LN and Manga throw.

Having fallen off the edges a lot, Kyoya has learned to tackle anything that comes his way. The creativity of this guy may be a cheat but still shows his passion and heart.

And also he's meddling as less as possible with the past.

Anyone else thought maybe the pacing was too fast today. As a manga reader, I didn't like it when they cut off a quarter of the story from the ninja dude to the loli's. Also, they cut off all of Kyoya and Kawasegawa's interactions. While I don't ship them, they were similar minded people who understood each other. Now their dynamic might seem a bit rushed loose next time.

I have a bad feeling about this!

Their team only getting 3rd is justifiable. It was good and unorthodox but as their teacher say, it wasn't intended to be that way.

Now Eiko will join the team on their next project, somehow a giveaway.

I also loved the part where Nanako sang the Rurouni Kenshin OP in the karaoke with Kyouya. What's the Japan only video sharing site that kyouya is telling nanako? I'm guessing NicoNico? I don't know if NicoNico started at the end of 2006 though.

I really loved this episode.

They really did well with the audio here, some crucial scene such as Shinoaki talking to Kyoya and that short movie moment is really well done.

And rn, some romantic moments are getting started. I can't wait for next episode

Really great episode! Kyoya with the strats, stopmotion was a really good solution to their problem, but Sensei saw through them. Now that is a great team, they are pushing each other to do better. Kinda wished we saw the film of Kawasegawa's team.

Kyoya is now starting his harem (Tsurayuki included lmao). Though I think if they do show the winner, it's gonna be Shinoaki, that scene between them at the end was beautiful. Really looking forward to the next episode.

The 3-minute shorts screenings begin...and Team Kawasegawa's project is immaculate for a silent film, a 1st place firm position. Compared to that of Kyouya's Kitayama House team with using photo stills that utilize whatever resources they have on hand, together with the Photography Club's help to stitch their story together in 3 minutes, that's nothing short of a feat to come in 3rd. And also, it reaffirms the relationship beween Kawasegawa and the teacher being sisters at that.

Nanako, you can sing in your tone deafness, just not with modern songs. Well, the harem seeds have been sown with Kyouya, and the Photography Club's formal introduction to all. Shinoaki is also forging forward with her drawings, but hasn't got the confidence to shine like Kyouya, and was thinking of calling it quits, and the guy reaffirmed his stance because of the future, his Platinum Generation circle.

The first "Remake" of a stepping stone for Kyouya, it's starting off well.

Nice, the movie proved to be worthy enough, using all those limited resources and times, to created such a touching moments. Its looks like Kyouya experience really benefitting him much this time. Good anticipation. That one guy crying, that's actually be me. Too bad Kawasegawa Eiko movie not even got a chance to screen. Because, well, for a 'reason'.

Intriguing talk between Kawasegawa and her sister. They talked about Kyouya? Yes, who else? She was her sister? Idk why they barely mentioning that before. But, on this time? Well, forget that fact aside, Eiko reaction truly amusing. I can't wait to see what awaits them when Eiko officially joined the gang activities.

Ah, yes, more bonding moment for the girls. They also introduced the club members properly, absolutely eccentric people. Idk whats their next role later. But, the part with the girls truly the spotlight. Cliche, i'd say, not even said its actually the girl whose the one you loved. But, well, at least that's good to enlightening some mood. Right?

This episode could have been something spectacular had they pace stuff down, make the whole filming process into like 16 minutes of the episode, and the last 4 minutes are the movie they make (3 min) + the aftermath, and leave everything from the second half of the episode into next episode.

but nope, they re too busy making sure their job is done. what a disappointment

I feel cheated. All of them talked so much about Kasegawa's team, but we didn't see any of their work as a final product, nor any sample of other teams' projects in order to think that Kyouya's team actually deserved 3rd place. It felt so unnatural that not only Kasegawa felt that cheap tears were granted for such a simple montage, but also that she felt enerved because Kyouya's team didn't win. It feels so unnatural any of this, as if she's aware that Kyouya' is the main protagonist.

I didn't like either how slog and recycled the dialogues and actual footage of the filming process felt. We already had enough pep talk last episode, I surely didn't need a rehash of that along with a long montage on how they did it, a short montage in order to not lose immersion of the already running play was more than enough. Lastly, Kyouya's team act as if this was the first time they saw the end product, they should at least have had one screening before showing it on the big screen for everyone else.

Lastly, these 2 dates with Nanako and Aki feel so awfully out of just a run of the mill harem romcom.

Honesty I think the fact that Kyouya’s Team’s movie was improvised should have given them more points, have to disagree with sensei there, but it was still a very good episode. I figured sensei and Kasegawa were related somehow, and I’m glad to see Kasegawa is going to be working with Kyouya’s group soon, as of rn she’s my potential pick for best girl.

I’m also liking the side plot of Nanako learning to sing, and honestly I thought she already sounded good lol. Lastly, once again I loved the one on one with Shinoaki at the end, just like episode 1, inspirational stuff. Looking forward to see where this goes next week, and I also wouldn’t mind if this eventually becomes a harem.

Makes sense that Professor is Buchou's onee-chan. A bit of a curve ball that Nana's tone-deaf, learning an instrument may help. It also challenges misconception that talent is innate instead of earned.

This ep also shows how important motivation is re Main 5 (especially Shino this time). The irony of older Star Trio & older Buchou inspiring MMC who inspires younger Star Trio (feedback loop?).

Also, Rurouni Kenshin OP1 at karaoke???

I'm a little disappointed with the finish of this film, really. I thought there would be Polygon love but well this is just a Harem, I love the ending dialogue, it really motivates the girl to keep drawing. Can this change the future, does this violate the loop rules idk, this There seems to be no such rule, paradoxically.

I must say, Kyouya's plan to create the movie using pictures stills after getting the wrong camera was a very creative plan that thankfully worked out for them. Getting 3rd place given the circumstances was still an impressive achievement for the group. =)

It was pretty obvious that Eiko and her teacher are actual sisters, but I did like their scene together when they were talking about Kyouya's film.

Speaking of Kyouya, he had a good time with Nanako at the karaoke booth as well as his time with Aki about her love for art. I applaud Kyouya for showing how much he really loves Aki's art and how much it meant to him back in his previous life cycle, too.

Honestly, this series could be a dark horse for this summer season at this rate. So far, so good! ^_^

My only complaint about the show is that MC doesn't use his future knowledge, like, at all. Except few gags here and there it simply doesn't exist.
Yes, you can relive your youth and build your own harem. Cool. How about buying stocks of certain company? Prevent some unfortunate events or people deaths? Go full "John Titor" on Reddit and see the world burn lmao. Nothing? Nothing at all? HELLO, you're a time-traveler!! 10 years from the future!
I know this is not this type of show and it's point more like getting a second chance and using your adult experience but to me it's kinda weird he isn't using this situation to his advantage. The least he could do is to earn money. Buy rare stuff to sell it later. Is it just me? Anyone?

Yet another good episode. Remake Our Life is pumping out bangers each week and I love it! The stop motion solution thought by Kyouya is something I had never seen coming. I was thinking he would run all the way back to the campus and take the correct equipment but my man here thought of a 'better' idea.

Kyouya is probably my new favorite protagonist. A genuinely good guy, helps his friends, tries his best to make the team work; gold criteria for a good protagonist.

Shino Aki still is my favorite up to this episode. She has still yet to realize her potential and is trying her best to catch up to the person who is trying to catch up to herself later in the distant future.

That being said, let's fucking gooooooooo!!!

I don't like harems so I hope it won't become too big in the story. Other than that, I really enjoy the story so far. The short they made was creative and I guessed they'd make still shots with the camera. They really didn't have any other option with the time they had so it made sense. I was curious to see how it will look though and I wasn't disappointed. xD
As for the hangouts with the girls, like I said I'm not a fan of harems but my preference for him would be Shinoaki so I'm rooting for them. She's just so adorable! As for my taste, that sensei. 0,0 They did great picking Miyuki Sawashiro as her VA. Her voice is so *chef's kiss*. I love the anime so far and I'm looking forward to more episodes.
