| I usually watch anime by myself since I don't have many friends who watch anime. And, personally I feel that watching anime by yourself allows you to experience it in a different light than watching it with others. However, I do watch anime movies with my family. But, anime like Redo of Healer and Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia should be watched by yourself. |

| The Monogatari Series I said the exact same line as OP mentioned on the first 10 seconds of the very first episode of the very first installment of the Monogatari Series. Damn, that's a lot of "of the very first" lmao. The Grisaia Trilogy I decided to watch this anime blindly without knowing what's it about, and i quickly realized this is a harem show judging by the setting. After realizing, i said that exact line OP mentioned. The Testament of Sister New Devil Said it when there's a scene showing the heroine's n1pple lmao. |

| Personally it's the opposite for me, have to search hard to find a show friends would enjoy. Those anime tend to be battle shounen which isn't my cup of tea so I just end up chilling by myself. |

| Monogatari Series was brought up numerous times, but I have to disagree. I saw all three Kizumonogatari movies in theaters and those experiences among the most fun film movie-going experiences I've had. It did help that the crowd in those showings were all seasoned Monogatari fans, some were even cosplaying, and were comfortable with the idiosyncrasies of the series. Though I imagine that experience would have been quite awkward if it was a general audience instead. |
