Yes mods this post right here. Reported for trolling. 😊 I see that some ex mods have been reinstated. And a few of the older mods have gone now. I hope that they will all handle things amicably. We don’t want a repeat of last year’s drama with trigger happy mods. I’ve already noticed that one new mod has less than 200 posts. |

| I think it will not be much different than it used to be though I think their is less youtuber drama now since the Ishizoku Reviewers event. Youtube moderation is likely to get a lot more extreme, but mal will keep constant. |

| I have no thoughts on certain users. But being an old forum mod, the role is pretty harsh and I wish them good mental health. You basically are the middle man between the reporters and reportee. Whatever decisions you choose, you can often end up pissing one off or the other. It's often a thankless job and you hardly see positive posts from users about mods, and many negatives. I also partially think its funny when I used to see posts like "mods are fascists" and "mods are on a powertrip". Really, you think fascists and power hunger people would join the forum mod team here on MAL? The rewards simply aren't there for them to do it. No, people who join the forum moderating team are people like those guys who clean up garbage on the beach (sounds hilarious now that I typed it out but the comparison is even more relatedable now that I wrote it). You might think they're doing it for clout, but they're nonetheless just doing a good deed while most of us are sitting around in front of a computer watching endless youtube videos. k e k w. | Who are they? Only one I know is deadlyraven. I always get my ass kicked by him. Also I hope they aren't gonna be super strict since we'll lose half the users. And please God delete duplicate threads. I've asked for a while for them to do this. They should just ban the word "favorite" in thread names. I’m just laughing at how many people think that @Deadlyraven is a guy.  I’ve squashed my beef with the mods since I returned on this account. Sent them all a friend request (not the new batch as yet). I was even honourable enough to let the admins know who I am so that they could transfer my old ban history to this account. As unfair as some of those bans were I still did that. I try to be fair even when others aren’t. In all things we must give God Almighty the glory, praise and thanks. Glory, hallelujah! | When I see moderators posting in the fora, it feels as if jailers were playing basketball with prisoners. All I know is that they basically never posted in CD and CE, but I am willing to assume that they were lurking all this time and have an in-depth understanding of the way people post here and of the subtleties of Rule 7. Perhaps, but honestly, considering how time-consuming it is to only post here, having to also moderate as the same time is nigh-on-impossible unless one is a NEET. Just have a look at the tasks of moderators, they need to "idle on IRC most of the time", and who can possibly do that? No wonder that they are either inactive in the fora (or always were). Otherwise, it would be nice to see them posting and realise how vague some rules are (like the Rule 7) or simply get a sense about the difference between a banter between friends and a death threat. By the way, my apologies to Haptism93 who is fairly active in CD but whose name I did not remember. |
