Sad to see Tao go he was the best enemy so far, I wonder what the RR army is gonna do now with Goku coming to destroy them. I feel Tao was the strongest person they had unless they have another hidden trump card :/.

Oh and that blue nimbus was pretty cool you don't even need to be pure to ride it apparently =P.

The Sage really didn't want to help Tao Pai Pai grow, so the final fight was kind of boring, but whatever.

Kind of glad, this Red Ribbon saga has kind of over stayed it's welcome and I was kind of disappointed with Tao as well.

Interesting... Goku dreams of the heaviest ecchi service in the last 64 episodes. Though, that's understandable, he's 12, puberty and all. LOL :) And his lines were obviously dumbed down in the english dub.

From what I understand Tao Pai Pai will return at some point, right?

I have a hard time believing the training Goku received surpassed Tao Pai Pai. It just didn't seem like it would.

My only question is why did Goku just let Tao beat up on him so much. I wanted a flawless victory.

Tao Pai Pai was the first real threat other than Roshi to Goku, and he even got his own training segment against him. I enjoyed these episodes greatly, it was a really nice mix up. The fight itself was the best so far, and the training segment lived up to the tournament one. Oopa and his father were not the best supporting characters by any means, in fact I think they're mostly plot devices, which is odd because the plot is normally almost entirely character driven, but that said they did their job. Oopa's to be moral support and his father to bring a mission, a reason to need all the dragon balls apart from the four star. I want to stress they aren't awful characters, in fact they feel like they have a real place and job in the world, as well as a real relationship with each other, it's just the way they both direct the plot so strongly that stands out. It's unusual for Dragon Ball, and it comes from how bland they are compared to other characters who direct the plot by their own ambitions, but I should also acknowledge that it's also a good thing. It switches up the story's tone in a way that hasn't really been done before so it has its pros.

I would argue that every single general in Red Ribbon offered a very different saga.
Silver was more so a gag featuring Pilaf's men and some Goku and Chichi stuff. Overall, despite it having a dark start it was mostly a gag.
White was a new world, one which we've never seen before with excellent world building and it was a journey of traveling up a tower of baddie after baddie to save the village. It was the worst part of Dragon Ball, but it was definitely different and Ha-Chan was adorable.
Blue was back to the roots with a very similar journey as the first arc, rather than fighting it was about navigating traps and finding their own way through well exploring their characters and their relationships together.
Yellow's saga, or more so Tao Pai Pai's was about using the DBZ formula for the first time, introducing a big bad villain who is too strong and forcing Goku to train his heart out to make sure he can take him on, finally having a big fight showcasing his newfound strength.
Genres would go: Gag - Action - Adventure - Action/Training, and the two action were done much differently.

My point is, I think that every arc could be their own saga without having to do with Red Ribbon in the first place, the only thing that keeps them connected fundamentally is the similar generals. Luckily the way the generals act in each saga is much different and they're not the focus of many of them. In fact I'd argue the only one where the general was the focus was White's saga.

It's a bit of a stretch but I can only assume it was to learn his movements, to feel him out in a sense, so that he could come back stronger than ever and understand everything he was going to do.

Korin is such a trickster for playing Tao like a fiddle. I am sure if it wasn't for Korin's laidback personality, he would have wiped the floor with Tao. The flying dark nimbus was a nice touch. It seems like there is more than one kind of Nimbus cloud. From what I can gather, only the impure ones can ride on the dark version.

Regardless, Tao was the second major enemy to prove to be very difficult to beat for Goku, having had to go through a much-needed and enjoyable training segment to defeat him. I wonder if Tao truly is dead, though, despite being supposedly blown off by the frag grenade. After all, he is seen in the official poster of the series. Doesn't that mean he is relevant enough not to die early? I highly doubt they will place an irrelevant character amongst the cast like this.

I wonder what will the Red Ribbon Army do now that Goku is gunning after them. Tao, most likely, was their strongest asset. Unless they have a hidden trick up their sleeve or Commander Red and Major Officer Black are more than they seem, which I think is quite unlikely, I don't see them surviving against the onslaught of Goku.

@_Tokumei-no_ Posters on this website are rather irrelevant, they're often promotional arts by the anime staff, either made for maagazines during a certain broadcast period or for a later physical release (thus being "linked" to a certain stack of episodes).
MAL didn't even bother to have one actually respectful of the graphic style of the series for the currently employed one.

Goku has an insane appetite. For whatever reason he always eats right before a fight too. Tao has finally been put to an end. Thankfully so. I couldn't stand his pride.

So at last they did it!!!

Tao got what he should have gotten long ago. The fight was amazing. Goku has some brain and strength to use. Tao revealed his every move by himself. Now it is time for Red Ribbon fools to die in a hurry, haha!!!

I knew it, haha, Korin you tricky fellow. Korin just made a fool of Tao and he fell for that. That blue nimbus was amazing but Gokus nimbus cloud is better for its conditions - One must be pure of heart to ride the cloud

Muten Roushi will not change ever again.

Tao Pai Pai should have been stronger I feel like, other than the first encounter he was already weaker than Goku.

See ya Tao Pai Pai! Was a little abrupt finish, but so what! What an awesome villain!

I have a feeling RR will not have an ace up their sleeves. I think Goku is just going to destroy their HQ all by himself without any real difficulty.

I completely lost it when Korin swept the cloud from right under Tao and he plummeted to the ground. Legit the only time I have laughed so far while watching Dragon Ball, but that one really got me.

1. Goku hitting Tao in the face was beyond clean
2. I felt Tao's knee kick
3. Korin is hilarious
4. What the bloody hell was Goku dreaming about

Finally the Red Ribbon saga is starting to end. I enjoyed some of it, but it will be interesting to see other plot lines. Tao Pai Pai was a great villain, and I’m super interested in the dark Kinto Un. Only for impure people i’m guessing?
