Just take a break from it. I've done it before and I always come back.

If you don't end up coming back to it that just means you've likely found other things you enjoy more, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Take a break if you need it. Sometimes you need to take a little time off to regain your interest or explore other things. I've been through that before.

Take a break from it. Just keep up with that is coming out and you will come back to it when you see something interesting.

On a similar note, people grow out of things, it's natural. Don't be afraid of it.

If you're feeling bored of anime, the worst thing you can do is try to force yourself to carry on watching. Take the break you were thinking of taking, sometimes it's best to just mix things up a bit, indulge in other hobbies instead of just the one. One day you'll feel the urge to jump back into anime or you won't, and you'll realise you've grown to like other things, it's totally natural. Just take things at your own pace.

Then leave, and come back if you feel like it, it's not that complicated.
Anime will still be there if you ever wish to come back, and no one's gonna stop you from doing so.

You only have four shows on your list. Try watching something that isn't a shounen. Or you could read manga. Or you could "leave" or whatever.

Watching anime isn't a science, you either like it or you don't.

If your afraid of taking a break, just watch shows at a slower and more casual pace. Take it slow, maybe just watch a few episodes of something here and there. Especially if you have been watching a lot in the past few days, its nice to just slow down, and watch something at a pace that suits you the best right now.

Don't force yourself if you don't like anime anymore. You'll surely find a show to reignite your interest if you really care about continuing.

Me too. Sometimes I just lose all motivation to watch anime or read manga. So when I feel that way, I just remember all my favorite animes and go on Youtube and watch clips of it, then I just watch anime like I use to. Or just try to take a small break until you miss it

Anime isn't a job you have to do. It's to entertain you or your hobby. It you stop loving it just let it be. One day you'll return.

Because you're here forever.
I'm looking for recommendations, always. Please message me if you have any really good (maybe relatively unknown) anime for me!

just take a break. that feeling of anxiousness will keep you hooked onto anime. take a break as long as you want.

Don't force yourself, maybe start reading manga (I recommend Tower of God)

If you really just still want to watch anime, Try another genre, like a slice of life/ feel-good anime, so you can just chill out and switch off.

That's usually what I do... cause I've been there a lot

Like any hobby you take a long break find something else. You don't have an obligation here. Your free time is your free time spend it the way most enjoyable to you.

Outside of that basic advice that helps keep interest for me. Varying up your genres considering your a new member your list may not be complete that said your watching habitats lead to a lot of new or mainstream titles and mainly action adventure titles that lean to the shonen demographic. Entire genres like Slice of life are kinda ignored as well as other demographics while other eras like say the 70's, 80's or 90's (actually 2000's as well since Death Note is kinda the only 2000 anime you have seen as well) you haven't seen anything from those periods and can be a different experience.

Manga, VNs and LN are good to give a shot as well for variety lots of good titles not properly adapted or aren't adapted.

It's not like you'll lose something substential if you leave, so go ahead and find something else that's fun and worth your time. And you can come back anytime when you feel like it.

Ignore your fear of not starting back up, because if you force yourself to keep watching anime even if you're getting bored you're gonna make it worse

Taking a break is natural, I’ve gone months without watching any anime. A tip I have for watching anime when you’ve burnt out on it is to watch a anime that’s completely different to the last few anime you watched (eg: a comedy slice of life -> psychological thriller -> romance)

Yea man, go take some breaks. Its been like 5 or 6 years since I actually got started watching anime. During that time frame, I would slowly lose focus on shows and veer towards playing video games. Then, I would veer away to anime again once something interests me.
As others have said, change genre once in a while. Choose an anime that is different from what you are watching now.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying, take a break. Find other things you like.

Remember, watching anime isn't supposed to be a job; its supposed to be something you do for fun.

Do what you like, and don't finish shows because you feel like you have to. Wanna watch a show but have too many you're currently watching? watch the show anyway! Like I said, watching is supposed to be for your enjoyment only. Don't feel like its a commitment to do :)

Idk what with anime fans nowadays but you don't suddenly un-love yourself from anime just because you stopped watching it bcs of being bored by it.

I went on hiatus for like 2 years, and I returned, even though not as open to all genres as before, I still love anime and watched like 5 anime a year. No big deal.

well I looked at your profile, you're still young so you can get back into anime more easily. And you don't have that many completed anime unless you didn't add everything to your list so that seems pretty quick for you to say you're bored of anime, plus there's plenty for you to choose/watch from.
Personally I've accepted the fact that I'm more invested in Asian dramas/more used to watching real actors. I still like a few anime occassionally but I don't feel as pumped/motivated anymore even though I've got 70+ anime on my PTW list.

Take a break. I felt exactly the same way back in 2016. I was getting bored in anime/manga and just decided to leave it and indulge in a new hobby I picked up. Fast forward to 2019 and I missed anime/manga. So I came back to it and started to enjoy it again.
For me, it took 3 and half years, but for some other people it could take way less than that or longer, and of course, some people just never return.

It's normal to feel burnt out from all of this. So just take a break. Don't force yourself to keep going with the anime.

I mean, if your list is completed, having watched like 14 anime, what's the big deal of leaving anyway? And how tf does leaving have anything to do with this "suffering" that you mentioned? Just leave it and come back when you want to. I'm sure you won't "suffer", probably even being more productive than ever, after taking a break.

If Im bored of Drama, i go to Kpop/Jpop...what i’m trying to say is dont limit your hobbies to anime only, enjoy new hobbies and come back if you miss them

Reading manga, though not much and very slowly, is working as a fine alternative so far. I'm still new to manga, but I think reading with what you define as 'short' manga will do better. And after that some longer manga.

I don't know, hope it helps.
