| In before all the sub>dub elitists show up. 😜 As a dub watcher, I can't say I've ever done this, even for a show I specifically dropped due to it's terrible dubbing (Rave Master) or an anime that was twisted into a horrible abomination by localization (First US Digimon movie). This is prolly because it would feel inclined to start over from the beginning and it just seems like a bother. |

| I watch like 99% of my anime subbed, but sometimes I go back to my childhood shows and I will watch them dubbed. I just can't watch Digimon dubbed anymore, I tried watching the movie again dubbed but jesus christ not only do they all sound like adults and make the weirdest jokes (which I should love but I don't), but THEY EVEN PLAYED SMASH MOUTH. I just can't watch this shit dubbed anymore. Also, Japanese Agumon is way more charming. Baby Flame > Pepper Breath |

| As a person who watches both I can say I have encountered dubs so bad it made me switch. 1st is Girls und Panzer, the dub was disgusting, bad cast, wrong choices for characters etc. 2nd Kengan Ashsura, the dub had like 10 people, the voices didn't fit. Those are few that I avoid watching dubbed. |

| i used to only watch dubbed anime so now bryce papenbrook's voice irks me a little bit, so if he's casted as the main character i'll switch between dub and sub or just watch the sub for that show. but otherwise i can't pick a certain show that overly bothered me to the point where i was like "no more!" |

| I was a staggering mess after I watched first three episodes of Konohana Kitan dubbed. It is now too difficult to get back to watching it again... Same with Little Witch Academia. Watched its dubbed version for the 1st episode. Was so repulsed by it, I had to continue it in subs after 2 years. Look at how I have enjoyed it now... That doesn't mean necessarily that these subs were bad, I think English dubbers actually sound annoyingly artificial when they try to portray the voice of a young teenager or child. |

| First of all, I sometimes watch sub even when a dub is available, almost randomly. That said, there have been times when a really bad choice of voice actor made me switch to the sub. At least twice I've encountered an anime where a character was singing, but in the dub version you don't hear them singing and it only becomes evident via the context and surrounding dialogue. In the sub version they actually sang. (Both of the anime where I recall this happening were pre-2000 so it might be an ADR shortcut they used to take but don't anymore.) |

| Not really, because I almost never default to the dub version first. There were a few cases where it was the other way round, where I tried the dub because I didn't like something about japanese voicing, but that's about it. I think it was the original Kino's Journey (like the voice of the motorbike way more in the dub) and Kenshin. In Kenshin they didn't even try to act as if he were a male character and just voiced him as a 14yo schoolgirl and it was too fucking weird for me to handle. I've watched hundreds of male characters being voiced by female seiyuus and it never bothered me at all and often I don't even realize, but usually those seiyuus act with their voice to sound less girly and feminine and/or the characters in question are very young. Neither was the case here, it's the worst voice casting I've ever seen in anime and I couldn't watch Kenshin because of it. The dub was better in that regard, but hearing them speak american english in meiji-era japan felt just as weird so I ended up just not watching the Kenshin anime since both versions had issues. |

| I heard good things about the Gurren Lagann dub, so I thought I would check it out, but as soon as I heard Kamina's voice, I just had to make the switch back to sub. Like, no. Also, any anime with Bryce, is a big no. No exceptions. I don't know how he lands so many MC roles. I just can't with his voice. I pretty much always watch sub tho, so dub issues are never really a problem. I just like checking them out to see if I'll be pleasantly surprised, because they can be good. |

| I usually stick with the sub unless the dub is the only version I can find. That being said I'll sometimes try the dub if it's easier to find but it usually isn't as good. Recently the 12 Kingdoms dub was so flat and lifeless that it felt like they were just reading the lines instead of trying to give a performance. |
| The original Gakkou no Kaidan is an epic masterpiece of the highest order. A wonderful show with the highest quality characters, seiyuus, a superb tale for the ages. It was THE show that made me learn Japanese. The dub completely ruined it, and killed all of the authenticity that the original had, stay far away from it. |

Daru and Suzuha sound terrible in Japanese I don't really like Daru's voice in either version but Suzuha's sub voice is better in my opinion. The main voice I point to for the dub being bad is Kurisu's. I can usually handle a bad dub (hell, I watch 90s OVAs dubbed all the time) but something about Kurisu's English voice just... Set me off. I switched after like 3 or 4 eps because I couldn't take it anymore. |

| Every single anime is better in Sub. Simple reason is that Japan has professional voice actors, who have had proper training and coaching to do that one specific role. The only exceptions that comes to mind are Cowboy Bebop (for some reason the dub nailed it) and Ghibli movies (a bit like Disney, Ghibli has a habit of using famous celebrities rather than proper voice actors and it degrades the quality). |

| In most cases, when people watch a dub that is native to their language they tend to call it bad. Conversely, language that is foreign they tend to call it good. Hence, people should be more aware about this when giving an opinion. And yeah, almost all eng anime dubbed in netflix. |

| Honestly I don't remember, I just randomly started watching everything in subs cause I started Japanese in High School and figured that'd be better. But I guess maybe it was one of the Sailor Moon Series, I watched the first few in the Dub and they were okay - then Usagi got a new Voice Actress and I was like...my...poor...ears.... |

| Most dubs I just power through even when they're meh, mostly cuz a lot of times I'll keep anime on in the background while doing other stuff, or cuz I'm watching late at night before going to sleep so I'm like half illiterate at that point. Some older "shitty" dubs have a special kind of charm to me anyway, since it reminds me of how I used to watch anime on TV as a kid. I didn't think any of these were particularly "bad" dubs, but I just didn't really vibe with them dubbed, so I ended up switching to sub for Magic Knight Rayearth, Patlabor TV, Macross Plus, and Slayers. The only cases where I found a dub legitimately bad enough that I had to switch were with Tenchi Muyo and Gundam MS IGLOO. Bofuri is the only other anime aside from those where I switched from dub to sub, but that was just cuz the dub went on hold. |

| Hmm, not really a case with me. I watch it in whatever language I see first. I am very neutral on the whole sub vs dub debate. But there's a couple of animes that I refuse to watch in japanese because I am already attached to the dub version of it. |

| A.I.C.O. Incarnation, I thought the first half of the anime sounded awful with the dub, and did consider dropping it, but i didn't and carried on watching it and the 2nd half of the anime i thought was much better, but aside from that i've never had any problems with watching Dubs |
