Do you skip parts of an anime that you find boring or for other reasons?

So, this is my first time posting and I was wondering whether or not the community skips parts of anime that they find boring (or for other reasons). Personally, I will not skip any part of an anime and will even go back if I think I've missed out a few minutes. I also find that I get ticked off if someone does skip, ruining the flow of the anime.

So.... how about you guys?

No, but I do sleep. I slept in Kara no Kyoukai movies if I remember right. The first episode of Fate/Zero was a snorefest.

I only skip fillers if there are actually too many fillers in a row because it's kind of distracting me from the arc or plot I binge watch.

Why would I start a series if I'm skipping parts anyway? better start another one and drop the previous.

I sometimes skip parts about characters I don't care about. In Haikyuu, they added a flashback of some character I didn't care about at all in the middle of the match, so I just skipped it. I also skipped some Shiro and Archer dialogues in the last few episodes of UBW cause it seemed for me like they're talking about the same thing all over again, and it was really ruining the flow of their fight (they were literally just stopping their fight just to shout about the same thing again and again). I also skipped one arc of Gintama cause I didn't like it. For me, it'd be a petty reason to drop something just because of a flashback or a dialogue (or 2-3 boring episodes out of 350+ awesome ones), and it also doesn't make sense to suffer through something that doesn't interest you, so I don't mind skipping little parts of the story that aren't important for the overall experience.

I don't skip because I love to get as much of the story as I can even if it is fillers.

When it's really boring and I'm just trying to finish it, this tends to happen.

No, I only skip recaps, openings (sometimes) and endings (almost everytime, but I always make sure to check if there's something after the ending).
But just because I'm afraid to skip it and miss something important (or something good, even if it's filler)
.

No, it wouldn't make sense for me to complain about things later, if I haven't payed enough attention :x If you dislike it so much, why not just drop it?

Well I skip all the filler episodes for some anime, and when I've finished all the canon episodes, I put the anime in my dropped list.

If we're talking about skipping scenes that are boring within an episode that I'm watching, I never do that.

I never skip but sometimes I get sleepy or I think of something else. I watched the shippuuden fillers while drunk so I don't remember much, that way was entertaining.

No, I mostly don't skip any part of anime as I consider everything important.
If you're just gonna skip, then why not just drop that show?

Nope, I never skip, and like you I do even sometimes go back a couple of minutes if I feel like I have missed something (which happens quite often to be honest). Skipping anything would honestly just make me anxious about perhaps having missed something important.

Yeah, pointless fillers in Naruto and Bleach. Those were the only things I ever skipped aside from recap episodes, but I skipped them hard and without an ounce of regret. Would skip again 10 out of 10 times.
I probably regret this post by now.

i personally never skip anything, and if i get bored i just drop the anime instead, but i have a friend who watches anime with his finger on the forward button, and skips anything and everything, from beautiful sceneries to idle talk he doesn't find interesting. that way he manages to watch 6 episodes in 1 hour and says it doesnt affect his experience at all.

I try my best to watch every ep so that I don't miss our lil info that might play a part in the storyline, but filler arcs in one piece that is related to their movies, I skip.

I don't skip EVER in any parts of an anime.

If I do find it boring. I don't give my full attention.

Nope. No skipping for me.

If I wish to get the FULL story, I'll even watch the boring/slow parts of an anime, so.

Hell, I even rewind a few minutes or more in case I missed something (like important dialogue) or what-have-you.

In a way, if an anime is boring I just "skip" the whole thing by dropping it, and then I find a show that isn't boring and watch that.

No because you can't really say you completed a show if you skipped through it, and if you skip certain parts, you probably won't give the show the proper rating it deserves because you only watched the "good" parts.

What's the difference?

No. I think it's incredibly stupid to skip parts of an anime for any reason.

If it's boring then you can not pay attention to it as much but you should still know what's going on.

If you like a show then you shouldn't be skipping it, and you should just drop it if you don't like it.

No, but I assume that some scenes I don't pay much attention, but then I'm curious about what happened on the scene so I don't skip anything. And I just skip the OP / ED when I use a non-licensed site (If I don't like it, of course), when I use Crunchyroll I see everything since I'm paying for it.

The only part I skip are the resume episodes. I've watched quite a few and they bring absolutely nothing new. I don't even see how they can be useful to anyone. If I happened to forget some events, I would search for them resume on the Internet, not watch a 20-minutes episode package of stuff I've already watched.

No , I drop them , I'm watching anime for entertainment , If I wanted to sleep I'd listen to Coldplay or something like that.

Ofc there are cases such as Naruto , Bleach or Code Geass where I watched those boring parts 'cause either I was too far already (Naruto , Bleach) or too invested in the main story. (Code Geass)

No I never skip anything. If anything in cases where I find myself getting distracted I will rewind and focus myself to watch the scenes just to make sure I didn't miss anything significant. Unless it's like a recap or flashback in those cases my memory is pretty solid so getting distracted is fine but I still won't skip it or rewind when I lose focus.

As far as I can recall, the only times I've skipped are for the most tiresome/boring of filler episodes in shounen, most notably from Bleach. That show just had some of the most mind-numbing fillers, in my opinion. Nowadays I usually just drop a show if it gets too boring or aggravating, but that too is pretty rare.

Even if it's boring, I want the full experience and story of the anime so I won't skip it. Unless if I'm rewatching it...

Help, I'm hooked into the Fate series (not all) and am obsessed with Shirou x Saber!
Also, forever hoping for a ufotable remake of the Fate route!
